When I am out for run, people will some times wait for me at an intersection when the clearly have plenty of time to turn and drive away. Then in turn, I feel obligated to speed up so they don't have to wait! And it makes me look faster!
Yes...Jeff Nixon is a great guy. I was at a BBq party and he was overseeing a pool installation. I was the only person that recognized him. This was probably a few months before the Bills made the Cornelius Bennett move. I used to see Ken Jones around too. He worked for a major chain. We talked football on a few occasions.
The Pats are chameleon like. They quietly go about their business and efficiently dismantle other teams...someone said earlier that they can beat you in so many ways. Very disciplined unit that tackles well and is almost always in position. I had them written off 2-3 years ago...not happening yet.
Absolutely! Without the defensive effort we would not be discussing it. I remember the Bills at 0-3, but after the first win, I could sense that they would rebound. It was like a fog lifted.
I suppose the writers! It was my way of,saying "Look Bills fans, somebody had something good to say about Josh Allen" not fans on this forum. That is all I intended. Come on now. I do not appreciate being referred to as a "troll" either.
I did not intend to troll. My thread was intended to deflect from all of the negative Josh Allen talk. I was just sharing an experience that I had in a positive light...thats it.
I met Jeff Nixon in the summer of 1987. He was selling pools that year. He seemed surprised that I remembered him leading the league in interceptions before an injury took him down years earlier...good guy.
I have experienced some of these stages at times. Not to the extent of some fans who feel we should sign every guy on the waiver wire...including creating a stable of tight ends!
What was it...1998 and the Bills started 0-3? Flutie was way huge and very instrumental in the Bills resurgence. I believe they rallied to win the next five games. All he did was make plays for two years or so until teams caught on.
