    That is what I am hoping for Singletary. Just from watching the game for so.many years...I just sense good things from him...a fresh and potentially dynamic change of pace back!

    Like I said, this thread is based on a conversation with a Lyft driver. I shared it because I believed him. It was refreshing to hear someone recognize Allen and discuss his good qualities instead of the usual negative. Allen didn't even play a full season!

    I recently watched a series of videos by the Beatles spanning several years just to see their growth. You can see them maturing and getting tighter and tighter as a band.

    Of course I am intrigued as well. He was thrust in to the role and didn't even play a full season. 2019 will tell us a lot.

    I remember that too. That's all we really had back then. Early ESPN, magazines or having to wait for the evening news sports. Sampson turned out to be average as well.

    Ha! Good ole USFL. Do you remember the story...I don't know how true it is...the secretary that allowed a call to the Bills office for Jim Kelly? I guess it allowed Kelly to sign with the Houston Gamblers and leave town!

    That's right...he was a track star. I remember ESPN hyping him up. At the time it appeared he was going to shatter all kinds of records. Walker did have a few good statistical years...would have to look them up.

    He was never the player that he was hyped to be out of Georgia. He seemed to translate in to a dependable all purpose back...break a good run occasionally. I remember that he had a daily push up regimen of several thousand a day.

    Beasley has also said that he talks a lot to Allen during practice. That is going to help Allen...having a wiley veteran around! And he is a rapper too!
