  1. Right. I think one of the best things the Bills can do for Allen and the passing attack at this point would be to add another potentially elite RB. If we have Singletary and another one of the RBs the previous poster mentioned, we would be unreal. The defense wouldn’t be able to wear down our running game and they would be guessing and allowing our receivers to run clean routes.
  2. Totally lame man. The kid is on a rookie deal and it’s pretty cool that he’s donating anything at all.
  3. No. End thread.
  4. I think we all know O’Brien is not in his right mind...
  5. Completely lazy. It’s the robotically programmed response and argument when it comes to Allen. But he did improve from year one to year two, so there’s that. Meanwhile, guys like Mayfield regressed horribly but no one really bashes him. It’s all about what you want to believe and how much influence the media has.
  6. I’ll take the opinion of someone that has experience in the position over draft nerds any day of the week. Other former qbs love him too btw.
  7. I love how Simms mocks those that complain about Allen. He loves him. It’s refreshing to see someone that actually knows the game talk glowingly about Allen. People need to pay more attention to guys like him and less attention to pre draft write ups.
  8. That’s cute...
  9. This is more or less the gist of it all. Too many fans listen too much to the media who did nothing but bash him pre-draft and still push their narrative no matter how many games he wins or how much he improves. Meanwhile, doofuses like Sam Darnold get every excuse in the book and the benefit of the doubt for poor play because the same geniuses touted him as the next great qb. Allen was doomed with some of this fan base the day they took him. They wanted Josh Rosen and he was never given a chance. The bottom line is he has won more games than he has lost as a starter so far, has numerous come from behind wins, and his teammates will run through a wall for him. If you can’t love that then I don’t know what the heck to tell ya...
  10. Just stop. There really isn’t anything wrong with it. Our new defensive line coach is coming from there and is an upgrade over last year. He coached Addison last year. It’s a good move. People look too deep into this Carolina connection. McD was a defensive coordinator on a super bowl team with most of those guys. Good problem to have if you ask me...
  11. Well, McD states that 21 points should win games with our defense. 19.6 isn’t far off. The point is, I think Daboll and McD need to quit aiming for a certain amount of points and learn how to put their foot in the opponents’ throats when we are up. Too many times (including Houston) we got too cute, predictable, and conservative when we had the lead. It allowed the other team to either come back or make it way more interesting than it needed to be. Excellent point. I completely agree. People complain about Allen never hitting the magical 300 yard mark. Well, conservative playcalling in the second half of games cost him that number on more than one occasion.
  12. This is a great point and one that I’ve used as well. Morse whiffed too. But either way, there were reasons we lost that game and it’s not all on Allen.
  13. Great point on Daboll. I have used this argument many times. Allen isn’t the one calling the conservative plays when we have a lead. It’s Daboll who trots out Gore and calls two running plays. I think if we allowed Allen to continue to play the way he was in the second half of the Houston game as the first half, we would have won that game. However, Daboll completely went into prevent and they put it in the hands of our defense who ran into a juiced up Watson. Before Daboll could counter, all the momentum had turned. Then, Allen had to feel like he had to do everything on his own and we all know it fell apart.
  14. If you are indeed a fan of the Bills, then why are you arguing so hard against Allen? Is it because you have a burning desire to be right that you can’t let it go? We should all want him to succeed, but you are seeming to make it your mission to trash him and tell us all why he won’t. It’s pretty sad.
  15. I think you are missing the fact that he moved the team down into FG range to tie the game and send it to overtime. And the fact that if Knox or Morse hits a block on the QB keeper in OT that we probably would have won the gMe on a FG. Yes...he had a poor second half. But let’s be honest...the defense let up when Watson started going off and the play calls from Daboll were very conservative. They were definitely playing not to lose, which is not what you want to do in the playoffs on the road.
  16. I’m glad you’re happy that you made some kind of “point”. It’s pretty sad that you get some kind of thrill off of bashing your team’s QB. Good for you... You know what he ranks at the top in? Game winning drives. That’s what matters more than your dumb stats.
  17. Allen comes from a small town golly gee upbringing. The rest of those guys (except maybe Mayfield) have always had the spotlight and fanfare.
  18. I think Mayfield is a complete head case who has a massive chip on his shoulder. To me, all he cares about is being a rock star. Darnold just seems like he is in a constant daze and overwhelmed. He has the talent, but I don’t know if he has the killer instinct. We all know about Rosen and his entitled personality.
  19. I totally agree. It’s foolish to think Beane and McD are going to give up on him and hit the reset at the position unless he totally melts down.
  20. I think you really underestimate how much Beane and McD think of Allen. This is not a make or break year for him IMO. If guys like Tannehill, Winston, and Mariota get their full rookie deals, then Allen will too. I truly believe Beane and McD are fully committed to him. They truly believe that he can be developed and already possesses traits that can’t be taught. I think those traits are what drew them to him in the first place. It just so happens that he has a winning record in two seasons working with an incomplete offense. Let’s see what he does with good, seasoned players.
  21. This has long been an argument of mine. Allen never had decent talent around him in his entire high school, junior college, or college career. It can be argued that the talent around him his rookie year sucked too. Last year the talent was way better and he showed marked improvements. This year, he has a legit offensive infrastructure around him so the first time in his life he will be working with an offense that has the pieces to keep up with any team.
  22. Yeah and the first half should have been better. IMO, Brown had terrible footwork on the one sideline incompletion and his throw to Duke in the end zone was on the money. We should have been up more than we were at the half. The second half was maddening. He played terrible most of the half and then sprung to life again when the game was on the line to tie it. I still think Daboll had a completely atrocious game plan for the second half. He was almost surely playing not to lose. The problem was, Watson and Allen switched in the second half. Where Allen was great in the first half, Watson was even better in the second. Our defense couldn’t stop him. He literally did just about anything he wanted to do.
  23. Beane forfeited this possibility the second he pulled the trigger for Diggs. Mims really saw his stock soar at the combine.
