  1. IMO, this is te Dolphins trying time convince other teams into not moving up to get him. That way they can stay put at 5 and get him themselves without using any of their other picks to move up for him. It’s actually pretty genius on the Dolphins’ part.
  2. They don’t know. They listen to the media too much and can’t form their own opinions. They bought into the “wrong Josh” bs and haven’t forgotten about it. They bought into the idea that he is not accurate and ignore the fact that he has improved in that area. His rookie year he was at the bottom of the league in short to intermediate accuracy and last year he was near the top. They bought into the gripes about hero ball and recklessness but fail to realize he’s only 23 and still super raw. I watched a football life on Brett Favre the other night on NFL Network. I challenge everyone to go watch it while we are all barricaded in our homes. Tell me young Brett Favre doesn’t remind you almost entirely of young Allen. Allen was drafted as a project qb. He’s made unbelievable progress in just one offseason. If some of you want to doubt the kid, that’s on you and it’s your right. However, I’m not going to bet against him. He seems to have that “it” that makes some of them great.
  3. Boom. Well said and spot on. Allen played with future salesmen at Wyoming. Last year was literally his first year of his life with good talent around him. And guess what? He improved. Hmmmm... Well, the Titans disagree with you. So there’s that...
  4. That’s fine. Whatever I guess. But you would have to admit that Allen was playing with subpar talent at Wyoming and was expected to somehow come away with dominant stats. Listen...you are skeptical. I get that. I’m more open minded to seeing the big picture. You’re just gonna have to respect that as well.
  5. IMO it’s lazy analysis to say Allen is overall inaccurate. Yes he has areas to improve, but he went from one of the worst short to intermediate throwers to one of the beat in the span of one year. His deep accuracy was off last year but he’ll work on it this offseason and I have a lot of faith that he’ll come back a lot better in that regard too. Too many people in the fan base were pissed when we took “the wrong Josh” and never gave him much of a chance. Add to that fact that many “experts” bashed him predaft and that’s what fans still think he is. They fail to look at the overall picture and see he has made great stride. Again...lazy.
  6. Good point. Allen seems to really respond to doubt. He’s been an underdog his entire playing career.
  7. You know what? I couldn’t care less if he’s the MVP either, but what I’m saying is it’s nice to see that a random columnist is actually showing Allen in a positive light instead of casting shade at him like everyone else.
  8. I was thinking something similar. He’s tied for 6th on this list.
  9. This isn’t a huge stretch when you consider that Beane finally put some good resources into the offense. I think he’ll continue to add to it in another month.
  10. Looks like not everyone in the media thinks Allen is garbage. It’s totally refreshing to see someone go out on a limb for the guy. He’s improved in areas that were a weakness the year before. Why would you bet against him? Add to that idea the fact that he has a strong team around him and this could be a special thing that Beane and company are building... https://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/1967252/nfl-mvp-odds-best-bets-dont-sleep-on-josh-allen
  11. I never once boasted that there was no way it would happen. However, with guys like Jeudy, Lamb, Ruggs, and Jefferson, it’s very unlikely that he will be anything more that the fifth one off the board.
  12. Wow. 3rd receiver off the board?! Haha. This is why you can’t be taken seriously. You can’t really believe that can you? Haha
  13. I don’t have a problem with opinions. What I have a problem with is opinions that are presented as fact. Which is what your is. We have no idea what is going to happen or who is going to drop. Every year there are surprises.
  14. Did you think Metcalf would make it to the bottom of two last year? You know...since you know everything...
  15. Any QBs brought in has to come in knowing at best he’s the backup. Josh Allen is their guy...
  16. You say that, but if all we have is Singletary, then the defenses are not going to be scared when Yeldon gets touches. We need a complimentary RB that can carve up defenses when Singletary needs a break. This will open up the passing game. Last year, when Gore came into the game, defenses knew what was coming. Another RB like Singletary would eliminate that predictability.
  17. They are old, but they are talented and deep. Don’t discount Daryl Johnson. He was a contributor on the team last year when most teams stash 7th rounders on the practice squad or cut them. I don’t think you can say the same about RB. We are a Devin Singletary injury away from Yeldon being our starting RB. Yikes. A previous poster nailed it IMO...Daboll prefers to share the workload and not have a true number 1 RB. Last year, when Singletary should have gotten more carries, Gore would come into the game and we became predictable and we weren’t scary at all. I could see Beane giving Daboll another similar RB with elite skill for the offense to take advantage of. Imagine an offense where you have Singletary and another elite RB confusing the defense and wearing them out.
  18. I think a trade up is possible if they like someone that is falling. However, I don’t see us trading back into 1 anymore. I thought it was possible a few weeks ago but I think with all that we’ve added so far it’s extremely unlikely. And I would be SHOCKED if we traded up in any round to get a TE in a draft that is very weak at that position. Especially a year after adding Knox, Sweeney, and Kroft.
  19. I think the top bets for the second round are RB and CB2. We have pretty much stocked up depth at every position, but if there is a need it is a complimentary back to Singletary. The sweet spot in this draft will be round two for RB and I think it will fall right into our laps. I think we could legitimately get someone like Cam Akers/Clyde Edwards-Helaire/or even Jonathan Taylor at that slot. A second stud RB would allow us to keep both backs fresh to really wear out defenses and open up the passing the game. I just have a hard time thinking they are ok going into the season with Senorise Perry and TJ Yeldon as the backups to Singletary. That just doesn’t scare anyone. Likewise, I think a CB2 to compliment White will be a priority, but I’m not sure it’s as big a need as a RB. They signed Norman and Gaines, and already have Wallace. I think that is a little more easy to get by with than what we currently have at RB.
  20. Was there ever any doubt that Allen would be one of the first ones to reach out to Diggs? He instantly became the best WR he’s ever had to work with at any level. He’s a born leader...
  21. Right. I think one of the best things the Bills can do for Allen and the passing attack at this point would be to add another potentially elite RB. If we have Singletary and another one of the RBs the previous poster mentioned, we would be unreal. The defense wouldn’t be able to wear down our running game and they would be guessing and allowing our receivers to run clean routes.
  22. Totally lame man. The kid is on a rookie deal and it’s pretty cool that he’s donating anything at all.
  23. No. End thread.
  24. I think we all know O’Brien is not in his right mind...
  25. Completely lazy. It’s the robotically programmed response and argument when it comes to Allen. But he did improve from year one to year two, so there’s that. Meanwhile, guys like Mayfield regressed horribly but no one really bashes him. It’s all about what you want to believe and how much influence the media has.
