  1. This is one messed up executed play. First, the crosser wipes out Knox's defender allowing Knox to be wide open. Second, Josh has a tendency to lock onto the receiver he's going to throw to. Here he locks onto # 5 (Palmer) waiting for him to clear the deep safety. That's why he's cocked before anyone is in his face but doesn't deliver until he's pressured resulting in an underthrown ball off his backfoot. Third, Palmer hesitates at the end of his route seemingly settling into a gap in the zone instead of continuing across the field. This results in him not being where Josh thinks he'll be when he releases the ball. This play is illustrative of what I see from this year's Bills team -- failure to execute. That's not the only problem (injuries, etc.) but it's a major one. Thoughts?
  2. Your might be a bad fan but still have good football IQ. Both can be true at the same time.
  3. By head case I meant that he apparently couldn't digest the complexities of playing CB in McD's defense, not that he caused problems like Coleman.
  4. Here are the three reasons we lose to lesser teams: 1. Turnovers 2. Turnovers 3. Turnovers Ok. I know it's more than that but the Bills in past seasons hardly ever turnover the ball. In the last 3 games we turned it over 8 times! That's not Bills' football.
  5. This is the second high draft choice that's proved to be a "head" case. Remember CB Elam? I know its tough drafting at the end of the 1st two rounds. By then the blue chippers are gone. It also can be difficult to predict who will adjust to adversity in the pros. Sometimes high draft choices excel in college because of above average natural talent and playing for a team loaded with blue chippers. Anyone have any insight into how coachable Colman is? He's not going to beat you with his speed so he's got to do it being a smart route runner but he's not good at that. It seems he was drafted for his height and leaping ability but you can't make a living in the pros specializing in back shoulder catches. Do the Bills have a sports psychologist on staff?
  6. Bills have had 8 turnovers in the last 3 games. Conclusion: fire the coaches; it mut be their fault somehow.
  7. Some possibilities for Dawkins' poor performance 1. Injury, possibly lower body. This may explain why his technique was off; 2. Stamina. He looked tired in the 2d half and he may be overweight. 3. Lack of effort. Dawkins usually plays with fire but not this game. Thoughts?
  8. A player only has to concentrate on what part of the play call relates to him unless you're the QB.
  9. Good point. I read that Belichick designed the Giants D around the Bills' passing game. To limit YAC they played to keep all passes in front of them. So they were vunerable to our running game.
  10. That was the Giants' gameplan in our first SB loss.
  11. The difficulty is that at today's salaries if you sign too many elete players, there is only chump change left so you wind up having a bunch of scrubs on the field with your elites. This is why teams shoot for the moon while their core of elites are on team-friendly rookie contracts; see for example the Rams and Lions.
  12. Baseball cards: Making kid's bikes sound like motorcycles since forever. You know what I mean.
  13. He kicked for Buffalo in the early 70s. Died at 40 in Cheektowaga of Dysentery. R.I.P.
  14. Not as old as me. Lusteg played for the Bills in 1966. He was Gogolak's replacement.
  15. Decades ago the Bills' kicker Booth Lustig missed a kick tht cost Buffalo the game. later a carload of Bills fans spotted Lustig on the sidewalk. They piled out of the car and beat him up.
  16. Maybe you can't be "more than a football player" during the season, especially when you are an NFL QB.
  17. Coleman hasn't been the same sunce he took that wicked shot from Poyer. I wonder whether that shot is still living rent-free in his brain?
  18. Sic transit gloria mundi.
  19. The players are professionals. It's the coaches job to formulate a game plan, install it, call plays, etc. The coaches are not psychologists. It's shouldn't be the coaches' job to "get them up" for a game. I think at duty ends with college ball.
  20. The players didn't play well; we lost the turnover battle. Conclusion: fire the coaching staff.

  22. I think Bernard let Kelce get away from him on that long completion to Kelce.
  23. Josh was excellent today. In fairness to Mahomes, our pass rush was in his face all game. I would have said that our rush spread his cheeks today but Mahomes already said that.
  24. The Bills' injury list is scary.
  25. I'm guessing that it's a nanny the coverage isn't man coverage.
