Might as well put Poyer back there for the time being. Washed Poyer still better than Hamlin…

It’s crazy how the the Bills more often than not beat the Ravens but apparently never actually beat the Ravens… -

Yeah, Brady falls into these lulls where he gets away from Josh and overcommits to the run, almost out of stubbornness it seems. For example, I feel there are instances in the past much like yesterday, I believe it was 2nd qtr, 2nd & 1, and he just tries to pound the rock and move the chains… why? It’s such a blown opportunity to attempt a big play and utilize play action. Especially if you believe in your team enough to go out there on 3rd & 1 and get that tough yard, then move the sticks if the big play didn’t pay off. It’s a wasted opportunity that you really can’t afford against an elite team. I feel like it’s me nitpicking when most of the time the offense is successful, but if I did have any complaints about the offense I’d like to see Brady dial up more shots downfield on those 2nd & 3 or less yards. Between that and all the early passes dialed up short and behind the LOS, I agree with Ostroski, but that’s not a reflection of a lack of playmakers, bc when 17 started slinging it, the skill positions were doing their job, and then some (tipped ball TD). This is just purely speculation on my part, but I feel like Brady might be pressured to dial up more conservative stuff early in games bc of McDermotts emphasis on wanting to pound the rock and minimize mistakes, and then if that doesn’t work, plan B is kinda just let it rip. Him going into these little conservative lulls where he overcommits to “McDermott ball” almost cost them against the Ravens last year, and I’d argue it did cost them against KC, especially in short yardage situations. He’s still absolutely a top OC, and I think he’s probably been the best hire of Beane’s tenure... His counterpart on defense however, that’s another story. Babich needs to be given the Ken Dorsey treatment, admit the mistake early in the season, and just give the defensive playcalling back to McDermott. There’s no reason he can’t be calling the defense if Andy Reid can still run his offense. -
If I was DHop and Lamar, I’d file charges, just inexcusable to put your hands on players. This dude is a 💩 stain on the Mafia. We are not the Iggles fan base, and this getting replayed over and over nationally is an embarrassment to the legions of Bills fan who have done so many great things for those in need.

I like Colin, but when has this actually been a problem for the Bills offense. They are consistently a top scoring team. And Jimbo Cook is atleast an A… if Keon and Kincaid start showing up like this every game, look out, suddenly this team is “loaded with weapons”… Point is, to Cowherd, and the guys who got shredded by Beane on WGR after the draft complaining about WR. When you look at the offense, the production, game in, game out, scoreboard, and their takeaway is this team needs more offense? Seriously? Josh doesn’t need anything offense. The difference between Josh and the success enjoyed by Mahomes and Hurts has NOTHING to do with skill players. It’s 110% on the other side of the ball. Josh has never enjoyed the type of elite playoff defense that those two get to fall back on to bail them out from time to time. The Bills gave up 100 points in two weeks last year, opened up this season giving up a 40 burger, and they are 2-1 in those games. Offense isn’t an issue, at all. -

They better show Babich the door… like immediately. Every single time this team plays a capable defense they completely poop 💩 the bed as if they spent the night drinking cheap beer and eating mighty taco. -

Must be even nicer having a safety that can make some f’n plays… let’s blame the refs though, that’s why the Ravens have hung 27 thus far. Hamilton is a baller, maybe Beane can pull his head out his ass and address the position properly one of these days… -

Brady’s play calling leaves a lot to be desired. You’d think he has a rookie QB back there and not the goat with this nonsense. -

I think I’ve probably drafted atleast 75 bestball teams, went a little light this year, and I think I have 0 Devon Achane and maybe 1 share of Reek. IMO that whole team is going to implode, Reek’s fall off will be precipitous and he seems to be dinged up quite a bit. Same for Achane, he underwhelmed last year in a “workhorse style role”, he’s definitely not physically built for that, and he’s been injured the entire offseason. I just wouldn’t trust either guy and there is too much talent around them to even bother with the risk in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Brown, Taylor, Jacobs, Cook, Hampton, Kyren all go after Achane and all much better values imo. If you want Achane without the risk draft Jaydon Blue late, same type of player. Insane speed (they say he’s been clocked in the 4.2’s) and has a clear pathway to touches behind Javonte Williams, with the pass catching ability in an offense that I think is poised to score a lot more points than the Fish. Crosky-Merrit is another one built of the same mold but the secret seems out on him with Robinson being moved to the Niners… All sounds good on paper, with my luck Achane goes for 2500 all purpose yards and 20 TDs… I just have a hard time believing McDaniel didn’t already lose the team last year and by week 6-7 the fire sale begins in south beach. -
Why does the city of Dallas hate generational talent? First they basically give Luka to the Lakers, and now the most profitable franchise in the history of the sport can’t retain their own star players? It’s honestly amazing the Cowboys make the post season as often as they do for being one of the most poorly run franchises in the league.

Well… that’s certainly A choice of words…

Did we sign Kelvin Benjamin yet since we’re bringing back all the McBeane classics… maybe a lil’ sprinkling of Robert Foster even.

I can’t remember the last time the Bills drafted any DL and right away we as fans were collectively like “oh, this dude is legit”… Kyle Williams? -
I mean they did draft two CBs, I’m hoping White wasn’t actually their “plan A” at the position, and Hairston will get up to speed by week 4-5 to take over the spot full time regardless if Tre is healthy or not.

I’d be interested to see some run designs with him on the field, along with Hawes and 6 OL… basically a better Mack Hollins, so yes? -
Early returns on 2024 Draft is awful
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
“JAG” to me means capable NFL player, not somebody you’re worried about on the field being a game changing playmaker. That’s motor. A dime a dozen NFL running back. Nothing to be ashamed of, Singletary carved out a nice lucrative career for himself, but he wasn’t giving any DC’s fits trying to gameplan for him. You let me know when you see Joe Burrow run over and through defenders… There is NOBODY like Josh Allen. No homer, it’s just not even close. There’s 17 and there’s everybody else… Bengals also play in a far tougher division. I think if you put Burrow on this team, they are likely still division winners bc Beane has built a strong OL, and the division is still trash, but who knows how he looks without even one WR as capable as Tee Higgins, forget about Jamar Chase. But yeah, I’ll agree the Bills are run better than the dumpster fire of an organization that is the Cincinnati Bengals. As well as the Dolphins, Browns, Jets, Raiders, and probably 2/3 of the league honestly. The “problem” is, the best football player EVER to step on a football field currently plays for our Buffalo Bills, at this point anything less than a Super Bowl is a disappointment. The bar has been raised and nobody seems to get that bc everybody here was so used to losing for so long, they seem content with Josh’s career falling short just bc that’s historically been the Bills M.O… -
Early returns on 2024 Draft is awful
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
My assessment was strictly the first three rounds. He’s had some nice hits in other rounds, certainly wouldn’t list Edmunds amongst any of his accomplishments, and Wyatt Teller is probably the guy with the most accolades on that list and he didn’t have the foresight to actually keep him on the roster, but Dawson Knox got a bloated extension… His propensity for finding occasional late round gems who out perform their late round draft status doesn’t make up for the squandered picks in the first three rounds, where all the premium talent is considered to be. That is a concern. This team should have multiple Super Bowl performances at this stage of Josh’s career especially when looking at his absolutely elite playoff numbers, so who’s not doing their job when 17 is “putting on his cape” year in year out only for somebody to inevitably fall short? Whether it be the defense that has had SO much draft capital and free agency dollars thrown at it, only to be a liability every year in the playoffs, or 1st round picks not coming up in big moments like Dalton Kantkatch, or does the honus fall of McDermott and his defensive coaching staff? The common denominator in all of that is Brandon Beane, those are all players/coaches put on the field with his seal of approval, so imo, the buck stops there. It all starts at the top, and to your point he’s made some good decisions like some late round picks and Joe Brady, but it’s going to be incredibly hard to win it all if you can’t ever knock day 1/day2 out of the park like the other perennial winners do from time to time to retool on the cheap. FTR, I like Beane, I want him to succeed, but at this point I’ve lost pretty much all faith in his ability to put together a defense to compliment Josh like Mahomes has had in KC.
