  1. Anybody else kinda wish Zurlein had made his field goals last week if it would’ve gotten us closer to being rid of McDermott since this team is very obviously not competing for a SuperBowl, again, this year?
  2. Johnson needs to be more disciplined than that, no need to lower the head there. I get it’s bang bang in the heat of the moment, but dude needs to be smarter in that situation.
  3. Who says he’s a rental? They resigned Rasul… even so, if he is a rental, his departure will factor into the comp pick formula, and they get a late 3rd back the following year. Bills once upon a time signed a great WR past his prime, who’d played with quite a few teams around the league, and then helped propel them to a run of 4 straight Super Bowl appearances…
  4. I think you’re ignoring the fact that the best player in football has been surrounded by arguably the worst WR group in the history of the franchise, void of any legitimate #1. When you have a QB like Josh, and the AFC is wide open, you don’t stand pat and hold on to what you are hoping will be the last pick in the 3rd round, bc when you have 17, THAT is the goal, a championship NOW. It is not adding a role player later that will maybe help the team what, in 2027? Nevermind they have plenty of draft capital for next year, Amari has a super team friendly contract, they could still recoup a comp pick if he walks, and Beane has more than enough time to wheel n’ deal between now and May. Why even doubt Beane at this point? He built this team, and is the guy who drafted all the players you mentioned, he knows what he’s doing. The trade for Rasul last year literally saved the season, and had the LB corps not been completely decimated against KC, it could’ve propelled them to the Super Bowl, as I’m assuming Beane is hoping with this move as well…
  5. Casuals overvalue draft picks, free agency exists…
  6. Fire the coach one game back in the division, trade away future assets at 2-4 for overpriced, aging wide receiver. The Jets seem serious… about claiming the record for the longest playoff drought in NFL history bc it’s going to take a miracle to right this ship any time soon. Even if they get a top pick, you know they’re just going to do their best to ruin that QB like they’ve done to literally every single QB they’ve drafted in the last 20+ years.
  7. I’m sure this will go over well after a W, but it still feels like any other recent season to me. I see no reason why it should end differently than the typical McDermott playoff run. Literally the week after the end of game debacle in Houston, we see the same ol’ same ol’ at the end of half here tonight against the Jets. He is who he is at this point in his coaching career. If by the grace of God they go on a run in the playoffs it will be because of 17 playing absolutely out of his mind, and in spite of McDermott who will likely do everything in his power to choke the game away. Most weeks he won’t get lucky enough to face a kicker worse than his own who chokes the game back to him… But, when they inevitably flame out in the divisional round, again, hopefully Beane will smarten up and throw all the money at Ben Johnson. I highly doubt Johnson would pass up getting a chance to work with Josh Allen for his first head coaching gig. Joe Brady’s offense just ain’t doing it for me, and this team shouldn’t be settling for mediocrity when they still have the best football player on the planet under center. Get me Ben Johnson to coach the team so you know nobody is poaching the guy scheming the offense, Saleh as DC, and buy a trophy case… However, the team will likely always be solid under Sean, so long as he has Josh, and that’s probably, sadly, good enough for the Pegulas when you look comparably at how abysmal their ownership of the Sabres has been.
  8. Zebras made the game just about unwatchable. If I wasn’t a Bills fan, I would’ve turned off any other game that featured 200 yards of penalty yardage… I refuse to believe any two professional teams are that undisciplined. Networks need to pressure the league to just let players play, bc it makes for awful television.
  9. And I’m sure this has nothing to do with him wearing a Lebanese flag patch this past weekend, due to his Lebanese heritage…
  10. Suprised? No, but overall many are less than thrilled with the way the rebuild has been constructed. Especially at safety and WR, two areas that needed the most help. There were affordable options out there on the market at Safety, and instead Beane outsmarted everybody and gave us a bunch of backup quality players and a day 2 rookie to replace Poyer & Hyde… Atleast try, don’t just say “well shucks those are big shoes to fill” and then fling some crap at the wall. Homers will say “well the cap”, but whose job is that in the first place? He’s left the team in a bad place financially with some bad deals. As far as WR, no there weren’t any great options on the market this past offseason, but Beane has missed the boat in the past, in particular when he had the chance to get Josh some help and he took Ford instead of Metcalf and Brown. Yet he then took their teammate Dawson Knox so the team was clearly scouting Ole Miss, and somehow they land on the guy who scored ZERO Touchdowns, but pass on the two monsters he played with, and then doubled down with a horrible extension. That type of miscalculation is inexcusable at the highest level, especially when you were actively scouting a team and still missed out on TWO legitimate WR 1’s… Yes, he helped get this team out of purgatory, but if Doug Whaley had stayed and they drafted Josh Allen, is the team anywhere different right now, other than being anchored to McDermott bc of their Carolina love connection?
  11. Both White and Milano weren’t even his picks, and those are the two best players of the guys you listed… So there’s that… He’s found some ok players here and there, nothing really special when you take off your homer glasses, and if you throw enough darts you’re going to hit the board occasionally, but I’d hardly call any of his picks outside of Josh “bulls eyes”.
  12. If he wasn’t to start the game, he sure as ***** was at the end. I wanted the dub, but it’s a regular season game, if the league were serious about protecting its players, and I know it’s not going to be a popular take, Josh shouldn’t have been allowed back in the game. The way his head slammed/bounced off the turf combined with how he laid face down seemingly motionless for a minute indicates, to me, there is a chance he blacked out for a moment. If that were the case and he had somehow taken another similar type hit after that, it could’ve been catastrophic. It was fun to see Superman put his cape back on, but the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze, can’t be taking those types of risks with the franchise for a regular season game, if ever.
  13. I haven’t trusted Beane in drafts since he passed on DK and AJ Brown for Cody Ford. His entire resume is Josh Allen… the end.
  14. If they would just let Mack Hollins play without shoes. Beane is probably trying to apply for an exemption rather than trading for Davante Adams…
  15. I can’t sit through that again, it was just abysmal… Tbh I just assumed they were defending the pass if Josh couldn’t get 1/3… most likely the WRs were still mistaking the defenders for yellow parkas… Either way, Brady’s offense feels like it was just cosplaying as something more sophisticated than it truly is. The jig is up, I don’t think it’s going to work anymore against any team with a semi-capable defense…
  16. Why not just designed runs with Josh at the end? Defense was clearly trying to stop the pass, I find it hard to believe if they draw it up correctly, spread the defense out, Josh doesn’t scramble for a cumulative 10 yards in 3 plays and force overtime…
  17. He has one of the best passers of the football ever, and consistently we see throws at or around the LOS, it’s maddening… literally, it’s like playing somebody in madden who has three or four plays that work and once you figure them out… well they usually just “rage quit”, but that was more of a Dorsey thing.
  18. Run, run, run, punt, they have no timeouts, they don’t get the clock stopped for the fg… well in theory, I assume McDermott still finds a way to f that up too…
  19. How many times can we just watch McDermott get out coached when it really matters, the moments when good teams become great??? Not like you can hand the reigns to the guy who just dialed up 3 pass plays out of his own endzone with 30 seconds left and no timeouts left in regulation, in a tie game, either…
  20. Yeah, I’m also of the opinion that Joe Brady’s offense was exposed by the Ravens and unless he can adapt and improvise his scheme, he’s toast as every other DC with half a brain will do the same thing week in, week out until either adjustments are made or he goes the way of Ken Dorsey. I personally do not think a run centric offense this the way to go when you have one of the best QBs ever to step on a football field, but what do I know? Not much other choice I suppose when your GM leaves you with a WR Corps that can’t get any separation…
  21. Beane should’ve just traded the entire draft to move up for Nabers, and then signed a decent Safety bc there was only like 20 of them on the market this FA taking short term, cost friendly deals everywhere. No other picks are helping this team get to a Super Bowl this year, and now it looks like a one and done playoff trip if we are lucky just bc the entire division is so bad, wasting yet another season of 17’s prime…
  22. Brandon Beane took chicken salad and turned it into chicken *****…
  23. Yikes. Starting to feel like Beane blew up the team rather than rebuilt it. He better get swallow his pride and do whatever it takes to land Davante Adams. The way he sat on his hands while quality safeties were signed for bargain basement prices and instead resting his laurels on Damar Hamlin and other reserves/rookies to fill in for all pros is just an excruciating miscalculation on his part…
  24. If the Bills draft Marino instead of passing in favor of a guy who wanted nothing to do with playing here, he still might be classified as the GOAT to this day with all the Super Bowls he would’ve won in Buffalo, providing most of the other pieces that built those Super Bowl teams somehow still fall into place… Only the Bills would draft the guy from Miami who refused to play in Buffalo, and pass on the guy who thrived in a similar climate of Pittsburgh, sending him to Miami 🤦‍♂️
  25. Dustin would be the only Hopkins I’d be interested in atm…
