Kincaid played through torn PCL
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
So? ***** him, he should retire. Step up or step out. Tired of this coddling culture. I thought McDermott was supposed to change the culture but he seems far too content with constantly coming up short when it matters most. Kincaid will be the Norwood of this team, except Norwood’s kick was harder to make than this catch. Seriously, just get this loser off my team. -
He can buyout of his contract for $10 million before June 1st. $1 million after.
-
Did anybody give Kincaid the Heimlich yet? Good, don’t… anybody not named Josh Allen shrivels up like George Costanza whenever it’s time to step up in the biggest moments. But knowing this fanbase Bills Mafia probably already donating to his favorite charity… They should just be sending him tracheotomy kits.

Defense wins championships and the Bills is non-existent when it matters most. “But they held them to a fg on the last drive” some will say, they also allowed KC to score more points than they have all season… It’s cool that they had a chance to win the game, but when you have a defensive minded head coach and your defense is a liability every, single, post season, it’s time to call a spade a spade. What exactly is McDermott bringing to the table if the defense isn’t ever elite? Josh is elite, and if your pouring all of your resources into the other side of the ball the way Beane has, they need to carry their weight and rise to his level, otherwise what are we doing here?

Is it time to move on from McDermott?
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Monty98's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, hire Bill Belichick. He’s the closest thing to football Phil Jackson… -
At this point, just get me Bill Belichick. Let’s not overthink this. Keep Brady, let him run the offense, make him the highest paid OC and coach in waiting. I’m sure Bill will have no problems with his run heavy approach. Belichick and Brady has a nice ring to it for whatever reason…

Just some thoughts before I log off for a while...

If I’m Josh I’m forcing my way off this team. Beane has poured endless resources into the defense and to what end? The Bills will NEVER win a Super Bowl with Sean MIDermott. So? that’s not a very high bar to clear. Goal is a championship not to simply be competitive and win more than you lose, not when you have a QB like Josh Allen. -
Bengals are having stadium issues

25 years? Modern engineering must be abysmal, meanwhile the Coliseum is still standing. Ruins technically sure, but it must be safe enough that they still give tours. My point being it would be cool to see these stadiums built to last the test of time, as something impressive for our descendants to muse on about what it must’ve been like to sit there “in these very seats” and watch Josh Allen barrel and hurdle over defenders in the days when football was still legal. We need to stop being a society that just consumes and wastes, built that which endures. -

Have you ever quit following a sports team?

Does Pro Wrestling count? I used to be a huge wrestling nerd, traveled all over to go to some great shows, spent lots of money on lots of tickets, and now, I couldn’t even name 80% of the roster. I’ll still watch some big shows here and there, and Triple H seems to have WWE in a pretty good state at the moment, it’s just not the same though. Watching so many of your childhood heroes either die or fall apart well before their time just takes its toll. I’m glad to see WWE doing right by the legends who did make it to the later stages of the game however, and the wrestlers of this current generation are at least much more protected than those in eras past. -

I keep waiting for the “Mandela effect” to happen where everybody is like “Whaddyou mean, Norwood nailed that kick and the Bills won 4 SuperBowls in a row, are you feeling ok?”… With my luck, I’d skip that timeline all together and just end up with “Wide Left” instead. -
Run the Tush Push everytime
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t have a problem with the play, it was more there was no disguise, the Ravens knew exactly what was coming, and the shotgun snap gave them enough time to penetrate the line and hold Josh up. If they wanted to run that play, I personally would’ve had Josh line up for the tush push, and then when the Ravens set their defense, have Josh “audible” into the gun, and then run the play, bc atleast you’re now sowing the seed of doubt into the Ravens D that this may not just be 17 up the middle after all… or even better, go RPO from the two. I’d like to see more RPO in general with the short passing game being utilized so much anyway. -
Being nitpicky: please let Allen pass the ball more

Don’t agree. The record is obviously much better, but how they got there is much like the Vikings 13 win season under Kirk Cousins, just all of the 50/50 situations and even worse (blocking Denver’s FG to win comes to mind) happen to bounce the Chiefs way… and when they didn’t the refs were usually there to right the ship. But offensively, this Chiefs team has regressed majorly from where they were 2 years ago. Their run game is virtually non existent, Pacheco hasn’t been right all season, constantly battling injury, and Hunt is OK at best. Mahomes put his best WR on IR, the rest of the group hasn’t really had a chance to gel. Worthy makes some plays here and there, but Hopkins and Hollywood combined for 0 in the statistical columns against Houston. This is not the same big bad wolf as in years past, this is a great defensive team carrying a mediocre offense at this point. The Bills are much more well balanced, and both their PPG and point differential are a testament to this fact. There is no such thing as a sure thing, this is still KC in Arrowhead for the right to go to the Super Bowl, but I like our odds much more so this year than in season’s past, especially last year in Buffalo, if for nothing else than the simple fact that the Bills have linebackers this year, and damn good ones at that… -

I get that, I’m just saying I think that the ultra conservative pass game made it feel like they were passing even less than they actually were. However, at times it also felt like watching somebody do the speed limit in their Lamborghini… I am fine with the approach because more often than not it’s resulted in W’s under Brady, but sometimes it feels you’re setting yourself up for disaster trying to constantly string together 12-15 plays drives because it increases the likelihood of incurring a drive killing penalty. I think to beat KC, in KC we’re going to need some explosive, big plays mixed in there, otherwise you’re leaving too much up to the discretion of the zebras. -

I think the problem is the overwhelming majority of the throws were like 5-8 yards at most in the second half. I’m not sure if this was intentional play design to beat pressure, playing safe ball security football, or the Ravens playing defense in a way that limited the pass game and thus made it more advantageous to call a run heavy offense, likely a combination of those factors. But yeah, I think it’s the lack of any big explosive pass plays made it feel like they weren’t passing the ball even though it was a pretty balanced approach, and to be fair, the run game was working more than it wasn’t against the toughest front in the league. Brady just seemed to fail to realize when it stopped being as effective and took longer to adjust than I would’ve liked personally, but we all got what’s most important - Big Dubs, on to KC. Geaux Bills. -

Huge difference between Josh doing everything by himself, and coming out of halftime with a chance to step on their throat and instead just running straight at the best run defense in the league when you have the best player, ever, under center… I do think controlling the time of possession, and trying to keep Lamar cold on the sideline was part of the gameplan, however, there was no reason to let Baltimore claw their way back into the game. -
Potential NFC representative in the Super Bowl
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall
Obviously you’d prefer to face the rookie QB in the Super Bowl and not the team that was just terrible officiating away from winning it all just two years ago. However, I’m almost certain Philly wins this one, I can’t see Washington going into their house and beating them again, this isn’t Detroits make shift defense of backups backups they are dealing with in the conference title game. -
The PI on Tre was a makeup call, so it’s a wash… But the point stands that there is no excuse to get game changing calls like this so blatantly wrong in the first place, especially when they are able to reverse other calls in real time with the “eye in the sky” without issue…
