  1. Good call, It’s true the Pats didn’t have superstar running backs, but they all contributed nicely to those teams. They were guys who fit the offense, and could make plays when needed. Moss and Singletary might be able to do so under the proper circumstances. The worry some have is the fact that Singletary and Moss play like they have led feet with absolutely no play making ability. I can’t name all the Pats dynasty running backs, but I know they always had someone on the roster who could break a big play. That’s what we lack in Singletary and Moss right now.
  2. The only reason I dislike Harmon for that drop is the sketchy gambling past he had in college. It all might have been in his past at that point, but he wasn’t a guy I’d consider trustworthy. Lack of being of trustworthy is always a good reason to dislike a player.
  3. Also if we drafted Josh Rosen, we’d have a unanimous answer to this question.
  4. I do think we can all agree it’s Whitner’s fault that he tackled using his back.
  5. I forgot about Leodis McKelvin. It’s the only time in my life I believed someone could be too dumb to be on a football field. The funny part was we had coaches who were even dumber. He held on to kick/punt return duties far too long.
  6. Kudos for the proper spelling of the last name, I got that one wrong on my list 😆
  7. Billy Joe Hobart Kyle Orton Zay Jones
  8. I’ll just sit back and listen to all the TBD science experts on this one🍿
  9. Absolutely, Highmark has hosted several concerts the past few years. There aren’t a ton of stadium concert tours that take place in the winter. There simply aren’t enough domed stadiums to plan an entire stadium winter tour. Additionally, there aren’t many stadium tours these days anyway. I don’t think the future of music is in big stadium shows. Most big stadium acts are retirement age. Who knows how many of those will even be touring by the time we get a new stadium. Stadium concerts are such a rare occurrence, it’s not something I think plays a huge role.
  10. There’s been some reports online citing “sources” claiming Wilson is ranked above Lawrence on one or more draft boards. I realize the internet is far from trustworthy, but I find it surprising that any sports site would post these articles. Chris Simms is respected for his analysis, and he came out saying he preferred Wilson. Lawrence remains number one obviously, and who knows the validity of these rumors, but there could be legitimate rumblings about Wilson over Lawrence in some circles. It won’t happen, but I’m just making the point that Wilson over Lawrence has been mentioned, albeit not often.
  11. Absolutely, there’s no way any of us know how their careers will turn out. I’m just amazed by reports that some teams actually prefer Wilson to Lawrence. A year ago you’d assume anyone going all in to draft a QB would be going after Lawrence. I’m not certain of Lawrence or Wilson, as I’ve said there’s no guarantees. It’s just interesting how fickle opinions and analysis can be. Last season Lawrence was the greatest QB prospect ever, and now a one season star is giving him a bit of a challenge. I think it shows that we’re too prone to exaggerations when assessing players.
  12. Totally agree. Every draft has one of these guys, and it never turns out well. Wilson owes everything to Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence was the unanimous number one for so long that people got bored with the idea. NFL scouts might be the experts, but they’re people who are prone to emotion as well. I think some became tired of the Lawrence talk, and wanted to think outside of the box. They’re doing this by finding their savior in Wilson. Lawrence had no way to elevate his game film beyond what was seen early in his career. This developed into the boredom that became Wilson mania imo.
  13. I agree with some of this, but to say it’s always circumstances takes it a bit too far imo. Success in any field requires the right circumstances, but it still has a lot to do with the person. If it’s always about circumstances, that’s saying there’s no such thing as a QB bust. The circumstances a guy has in college also plays a huge role. Being on the right college team can put a QB in a higher draft position, compared to a QB who plays on a lower tier team with little talent. Allen at Wyoming vs Darnold at USC is a perfect example of this. The jury is still out on Darnold’s career, I just don’t think anyone can be certain he would have been successful elsewhere. What does Darnold possess that made him a sure bet to be a good NFL QB ? I don’t think there is a such thing. When circumstances are blamed as the sole culprit of failure, that’s assuming Darnold must be good, but I don’t think proof of Darnold as a good NFL QB exists.
  14. Good take, everyone knows Dylan isn’t Aretha Franklin vocally, but he got the job done. Diversity in voices and style is what drew me to “classic rock”, although it’s not my era. Dylan’s raw vocal delivery is refreshing compared with today’s autotune perfect pitch nonsense. I rarely have an issue with anyone’s voice, as long as they are close to signing in key. I appreciate guitar playing, and solid songwriting most of all. I’ve never cared much about vocal ability. I can be impressed by an amazing singer, but the song itself is far more important. People get carried away with wanting to hear the high notes. Also, give me Dylan’s Knockin on Heaven’s Door everyday over GNR’s version, although I love GNR.
  15. That would be a nice, I’d love a small scale amphitheater that attracts smaller shows though. There’s just too much competition in NYS for the big shows with all these 10-20K outdoor amphitheaters, especially with the control Live Nation has. I think the future of music is going to be more centered around these smaller venues. Just give me some good music in downtown Buffalo on those nice summer days, and I’m happy. It wouldn’t even need to attract huge acts.
  16. I agree, and I’d be more adamant about this if I were a season ticket holder. I’d prefer the addition of an extra good weather game earlier in the season. This setup just adds another cold weather game. I’m only interested in attending January games in Buffalo if it’s a playoff game.
  17. Nice job NFL for creating relationship tension by scheduling the Super Bowl on a day I could some wanting to celebrate Valentine’s. 😂
  18. No, the modern game is structured in a way that all the talent in the world is meaningless without a QB.
  19. The NFL is also lobbying for more international games. That’s what I think this is ultimately about. That should really improve the product. Those London games are always so great.
  20. True, the players want more money. They always talk a big game about safety until money is on the line. My only argument is about the quality of the game. I hate Thursday Night Football. The product is trash, but fans are eating it up. More football doesn’t equal better football. Wasn’t the 17th game supposed to originally be a neutral site game to balance out the odd number ? If so, that’s additional travel for two teams. Much like Thursday Night Football it lowers the quality of play.
  21. I say more football. Let’s play thirty games, so we can make the regular season meaningless, like every other American sport.
  22. Yeah, you don’t win many games when you have that much trouble scoring. A big part of that loss was Buddy coming back down to earth. He carried that team from the tournament on. I’m not placing blame on him, but they needed him to be spectacular to win.
  23. I agree, the Sabres are an example of a sports team that’s as broken as I’ve ever seen. The Sabres are doing historically bad things in hockey. I will disagree with the drought Bills always being “in the hunt”. Mathematically they usually were, but football plays a short season. Winning just a few games keeps you in the hunt mid season. How many of those teams did anyone believe were truly in the hunt ? I almost always felt like the season was over by November after seeing the on field product for two months. The Bills never had a historically bad NFL season, but those 17 years, or whatever it was, were cumulatively bad on a historic level.
