  1. Yeah, and I don’t like that contract for a RB, even if we had the cash. I think drafting any back with speed would be a huge addition to this offense.
  2. We were desperate, that’s what watching Jeff Tuel and EJ Manuel will do. I think we’re all thrilled we ended up with Josh, but guys like Cousins and Alex Smith looked promising after what we’d been through.
  3. He was once brilliant, he’s just toast now. Brady’s skills have diminished, but he’s still a good QB. Brees is no longer a very good QB. He just happens to be on a very talented team.
  4. I agree, the Steelers are losing games because they aren’t very good right now. You didn’t hear a word about this before they started losing. It fits the narrative that his antics are giving the opposition additional motivation. NFL players have millions of reasons to be motivated every time they take the field, I’m sure it does get some guys fired up, but the Steelers have bigger issues than Smith dancing on logos. Many of the people who criticize Smith would be the first who’d love if Josh spit on the Pats logo and threw for 500 yards Monday. That’s because winners make the rules, and everything seems fine when you win.
  5. Dan Snyder would do everything it takes to move to the first pick in that case.
  6. Wonder what his BTO is, because he’s certainly takin care of business this season.
  7. Yeah, no one respects Cousins. There were always rumblings about him not being well liked in Washington.
  8. The Saints have a pretty good defense. Washed up Brees reminds me of Manning’s title year in Denver. I think the Saints really have a chance to represent the NFC.
  9. I absolutely agree, I hate the slam dunk franchise QB talk. I think it happens more these days than ever because the media spotlight shines brighter on college stars. Lawrence is a media sensation and a great football player. I’m not sure if that guarantees him to be the next Elway though.
  10. Me too, Tua failing is just very boring. I’d be good with reading about it later, with Brady I want to visually see him fail and throw his tantrums.
  11. I don’t think so, I see them going for a hot coaching candidate. That could change if they win out though imo.
  12. Seems that way. I’d much rather be watching Brady getting beat up by Atlanta though. This game is bad football.
  13. JBJ wrote a tune about social distancing, apparently Kraft is part of his “bubble” 😂
  14. Josh also did things during his rookie season that Tua could never dream of doing physically. Allen’s athleticism and arm talent was apparent from the start, we just didn’t see results yet. I’m not usually such a homer, but I really feel confident we won’t need to worry about Tua all that much.
  15. Fair enough, but guys like Vick and Steve Young still looked like more natural passers imo.
  16. I agree, but there’s something about his game that just doesn’t look like a big time NFL QB to me. Compare Tua’s mechanics to guys like Mahomes and Allen, nothing about him looks like a future All-Pro imo.
  17. Tua looks a check down QB. I don’t see him as a guy who will consistently be able to push the ball downfield.
  18. I agree, I don’t think he necessarily makes Josh better, or life easier for Beasley and Diggs. This offense is clicking perfectly right now. People making the argument it could be better are slightly misguided imo. However, I think saying that Brown coming back doesn’t improve the offense is missing a point that hasn’t been mentioned yet. We are about to make a playoff run. This offense is likely to hit a rough spot at some point. It’s possible a team might figure out a way to stop Diggs and Beasley. If that happens in the playoffs we could be making an early exit. Brown adds another weapon who could allow the offense to continue functioning on all cylinders if Diggs and Beasley are shutdown. Having a dangerous third option on the field is huge if that were to happen. It could be the difference between a Super Bowl run and playoff loss. Gabe Davis is developing into a good player, but no defense is afraid of him. Brown is a deep threat who keeps teams honest.
  19. Watching Notre Dame get blown out in a game they don’t belong in is a holiday tradition. I really have nothing against ND, but the NCAA constantly goes for the big TV ratings with them, and it’s quite apparent. I really don’t think the college playoff is anymore exciting than the old national championship game format. College football is so top heavy, even with just a four team format you’re always including someone who doesn’t stand a chance.
  20. Lock should be afraid to throw at anyone, the guy is another Elway trash bin find.
  21. I love having a reliable guy like Diggs, I also hate using Beasley as a screen WR.
  22. Thanks, I love all the people who are miserable about health care workers showing any signs of enjoying life. It’s a real blast going to work everyday wondering when it’s your turn to test positive. Dancing on break doesn’t make the pandemic any less real. I grew around several baby boomers who had kids they brought home from the Vietnam War. Does that mean the war was any less real ? I don’t think so. I don’t care what anyone thinks about this pandemic, and I rarely venture into PPP, but I see this narrative that it’s “fake news” because of Tik Tok videos to be very frustrating to me.
