  1. This is what you get from good WR’s, they’re all a bit off. I’m thinking it’s worth dealing with occasional drama to have an elite WR.
  2. I’m all about patience with a young kicker. They all have struggles, but that 52 yard miss was so far off. It’s hard for me to have any confidence in him when you see a kick that far off. He plenty of adjustments he needs to make.
  3. I’ve always said I’m a big McD fan, with the exception of his conservative nature. I will admit I’m less thrilled this season because the defense has struggled. Coaches start to lose me when their alleged area of expertise isn’t performing well.
  4. I’ve seen Jauron’s name mentioned today. This game absolutely reminds me of a Jauron era loss.
  5. Daboll outsmarting himself has always been his Achilles heel.
  6. I think McD might be calling plays tonight though. They showed him on the sideline holding a play card.
  7. He was great the first four games, and he’s been terrible tonight. It’s simple, not a commentary on his future or anything more than saying what he is tonight. Not sure why some get so bent out of shape when people say he’s been trash so far tonight.
  8. I’ve defended Bass a lot, I’m done. Many of his kicks aren’t even close.
  9. He looked like he had zero chance of bringing Kelce down also. Kelce is great, and plows through many NFL linebackers, but Edmunds looked like a high school player trying to tackle an NFL star.
  10. I don’t really see NO, TB, and GB being that far ahead of the other teams though. I’m not overly confident in Brees or Brady at this part of their career, and Green Bay never seems to put it all together. The fact that the Seahawks have Wilson is a great equalizer, McVay is a good offensive coach in LA, and the Bears have a legit D with a QB in Foles who could get hot. Those teams might seem more second tier, but I could see any of them in the Super Bowl, with the Bears being least likely. However, the Bears just beat the Bucs, so I don’t really see any of these teams as being dominant.
  11. Foles did, but we heard so much about Pederson’s offensive philosophy run by that Eagles team. It hasn’t looked the same since Reich was the OC. I’m also not sold on Pederson as a leader. Something is just off about that team, and having such a poor season following a Super Bowl win doesn’t say much for the coach keeping everyone focused.
  12. I think every team in the NFC has the potential to be a fraud. It’s really up for grabs, and doesn’t have contenders that seem as “legit” as the AFC.
  13. They do, but Russel Wilson> Tom Brady. That kind of evens it out, and I’d take the experience of Seattle and Pete Carroll over Tampa imo.
  14. I think the NFC is so up for grabs that anyone has a chance. The Seahawks would definitely be my favorite at this point. They have the experience and talent to be the class of the NFC.
  15. A big part of the Eagles issue is poor drafts, and Doug Pedersen not being a good coach. Reich carried that guy to a Lombardi Trophy.
  16. I couldn’t stand being teammates with someone who has the body language of Rodgers. Always rolling his eyes or shaking his head when teammates make a mistake. A guy like Allen gives his teammates words of encouragement instead of making faces.
  17. Brady isn’t the player of old, but the offense relies on screens, runs up the middle, and deep throws. Arians seems out of touch with modern offense imo. They just ran a washed up Shady on third and two of all times.
  18. I’ve seen Tampa with Brady play far too much this season, and I’m very confused with how Bruce Arians was seen as an offensive guru. That offense looks stale and predictable.
  19. I’m probably in the minority here in that I always enjoyed Bon Jovi’s music, and even went to a few shows. That said, the music is separate from the guy. I’m certainly not losing any sleep from his comments, but why be so bitter about the whole thing ? He calls not getting the Bills, “ the biggest disappointment in his life”. I get that, but grow up and get over it. There are many down to earth awesome rock stars, then you have your Bon Jovi’s who seem to think they accomplished something more than writing some hit songs, and having memorable hair. He’s just hurt that he doesn’t get to tell his friends in the Hampton’s he owns a football team. He feels insecure.
  20. I think our offense can clearly function without an elite TE, I’d just like to see fewer mental mistakes from Knox. You have a great take, and it’s actually really tough to find a good TE. Knox can be productive, he plays well when he makes catches, and blocks well when he finds himself in the right position. I’d just like to see him increase his ability to put himself in the right spot on a more consistent basis. He’s clearly a player who has a lot to learn. It wouldn’t be a big deal if we had depth at that position, but Kroft definitely isn’t the answer.
  21. Agree, what’s Lorax going to say ? If he calls out Edmunds for looking bad, everyone’s going to criticize Lorax for throwing a former teammate under the bus.
  22. Fair enough, I didn’t realize Knox’s numbers were that decent compared to other guys. I could make the argument that his mental lapses hurt the team enough to negate some of those numbers. A guy Iike Nick Boyle might not have had Knox’s numbers, but did he cost his team with drops, missed blockers, and mental errors as often ? I see Knox as a guy who’s more likely to cost his team a win, than to actually help his team win at this point. I realize that I’m probably too harsh on Knox, but his mistakes can be very costly, and not what you want on a “process” team. I also agree, that he’s taken a step back, and that’s concerning. I’m not saying he doesn’t belong on the team, he’s just not a guy I want as a starter at this point.
  23. That’s my take as well. How long can you give a guy who continues to struggle with route running, blocking assignments, and catching the ball ? I can’t think of a precedence for a TE becoming elite after looking like Knox his first two seasons. Plenty of young players become great after struggling early, but Knox hasn’t even put the numbers you’d hope from a young TE. He’s just a guy with a couple highlight reel plays to his name at this point. I’d forgive the drops and mental errors if he had more productivity. My greatest concern is the fact that I see absolutely zero improve from last season to this year. The slightest of progress might be encouraging, but we haven’t seen that.
  24. Knox has tons of potential, but at some point you need to become a reliable playmaker. I’m not buying the Shockey comparison, because Shockey was a Rookie of the Year, and All-Pro in his first season. He had drop issues as well, but made enough big plays to make up for it. Knox had the legendary Bengals run, and a nice catch against the Pats last season, and that’s his career. This season we only see him when he’s dropping passes. The good isn’t outweighing the bad, and that needs to at least even out by the end of this season. If he doesn’t show mass improvement by the end of this season, I’m not counting on him becoming a future star.
