  1. LB's seem to age similar to RBs. I would still say old is accurate.
  2. Sorry, I have to disagree on this one. Chris Jones made a great play at a key moment, and that's that. Can't fault Allen for trusting his guy (Dion) who typically wins that battle. It's hard for any QB to play the position, if they can't trust the blindside. Had the pressure come from anywhere else, then I would agree, that Allen should of made a move in the pocket.
  3. Too many nice guys.
  4. I wish I could agree, but honestly when watching both, Verse seems to be a bit more impactful. He was also very visible in the close playoff loss to Philly (best oline in the league). Rosseau on the other hand, was abysmal against a bad KC oline. I can't unsee that. Verse looks more like a DE1, and Rosseau looks like a really good DE2.
  5. Regardless how this plays out, this is the right move. To date, Henry has proven to be a generational talent at RB. You can't group him in with all the others. Also agree, that this doesn't change the Cook negotiations. If anything, it can be used against him. Seeking Derick Henry money, but nowhere near the level of player that Derek Henry is.
  6. Winston is the prototypical backup the fans fall in love with. Not who you want, if your trying to break in a rookie. Cousins has a big price tag, but would make sense for Pitt.
  7. The Kentucky beat reporter stated that he was pretty much unbloackabke in 2023, and was constantly double teamed. There's certainly contrasting opinions on him That being said, I believe this dude has a very high ceiling, but a lot has to right for him. Given his height, he's always going to struggle with pad level, but if they can get rid of the bad weight and turn it into good weight, it'll go a long way. One of the ways you can counter pad level is with quickness/momentum. The single most important trait in the trenches, is that 1st step explosiveness. I feel like he has that, and we just need to maximize that trait, and keep him healthy.
  8. I think most people don't realize, that Darrelle Revis was under 6 feet tall. He was also 5'11". For context: here are there combine numbers Revis: 5'11.5" 32.5" arms 8.25 hands Weight 204lbs. Mad Max: 5'11" 31" arms 8.75 hands Weight 183lbs, Height/length is not a problem. The big difference of course, is weight. 204lbs for a corner, is pretty big and in the upper tier. Mad Max stated that he's already back up to about 190lbs, and went down in weight, to maximize his 40 time, which we all know was 4.28. Revis did not run. That being said, he doesn't need to be a 200lb corner. If he's in that 190-193lbs range, it would be perfect, in my opinion. He's still a young guy and won't get that full grown man strength until he's about 25. It's like in H.S, you don't go for the chick that's already thick, you have to properly project.
  9. I just watched it and see it a bit differently. There was geninune excitement ,for the first three picks. it was a good mix of being patient/aggressive when they needed to be. They also struck favorable draft deals. I think they walked out feeling elated. I think Beane was genuinely taken aback by Jeremy's comments.
  10. I was never a Gabe Davis guy until the 2024 Playoff loss to the Chiefs. Gabe was out, and we had no one that could threaten the Chiefs deep. They kept daring us on the outside with 1 on 1 coverage. Josh threw a couple nice balls to Trent Sherfeld, but you can see that Sherfield just didn't have the same ability. In that limited role, I would love Gabe back, but not to depend on him, like he's mistakenly a #2 WR.
  11. I agree and will also add that Justin Herbert might be the most overrated QB in the league. When he first stormed into the league his rookie year, Adam Schefter was acting, like for certain, this guy was going to be a 1st ballot HOF. The guy has a big arm, and can definately make some great throws, but he's average when it comes to reading defenses. Reports are, that he missed Palmer a bunch. Like most guys, I expect Palmer's numbers to receive a bump. Give me 4 or 5 WR/TE's with 700/800 yds a piece. That's a lot more dangerous than one that can get you 1500
  12. As Shaw66 wisely points out, it's a week-to-week thing. Like many others, I'm also disappointed we didn't get that true deep threat. However, we added another guy that excels against man coverage. We have a good mix of players that excel at 1 or the other, and some are good against both. Moore is another guy, that if he lines up as your 3rd or even 4th guy, good luck lining up your CB3 on him one on one. He's still a very young guy, who will likely reach whatever his potential is here. What that is, we don't know for sure, but I would bet, it's better than what he's done to date.
  13. I personally think that Beane sees WR as a position that he doesn't enjoy evaluating, given the difficulty of it. He avoids it altogether on day 1 and day 2. This is his second attempt at building a dline. If he hit this time, like we all hope, none of us will care about him taking a WR early. This group of Sanders, Jackson, and Walker have to hit better than Oliver, Rousseau, Epenesa and Boggie Basham. One of them needs to be a home run. If not, the magnifying glass will be on Beane.
  14. Its all about expectations. No one shoukd be seeing this as a Diggs replacement, but as others have put it, he's replacing Hollins roster spot. That being said, this guy has been a part of the 2 most dysfunctional organizations in the league. He came into the league with lots of potential, and although he's underwhelmed, he has a real shot of reaching his ceiling with Josh and the Bills. What that is, no one knows for sure. Personally I'd sign up for 800yds. That would be ideal to end up with 3-4 guys with 800 plus yards. That's a lot more dangerous than just having 1 with 1500.
  15. It must of struck a nerve, for Beane to react like that. That being said, you don't have be all in on either side of this argument. If you don't like a particular prospect, that's one thing, but we did allocate most of our resources to completely rebuild our dline, and secondary room, by adding speed, youth, and athletic ability. I know that most of us here, had been begging for this for years. I thought there was an opportunity there to grab a Jalen Royals or a Tory Horton type, but we passed altogether on that idea. But....we will see come Sept, who can, and can't play.
  16. Same here. I generally agree with most of what Jeremy White talks about.
  17. That would be the outlier, and a nice surprise. That being said, I'm not going to completely rule it out. What a nice problem that would be to have. However, if Hairston is going to be the player I think he has the potential to become, he's a day 1 starter. This is probably also due to my personal bias, given how much I wanted the Bills to draft this kid.
  18. Except in money situations like the playoffs. I also agree with the poster above, about what the element of threat does for the offense. I personally think it's because Beane doesn't consider it a position that they are particularly strong at scouting. This is based on passed press conferences, where he has discussed, how immensely difficult to scout that position is. Some of the best organizations, have struggled with the WR position. NE during the Brady era, Baltimore, and even most recently the Eagles.
  19. I have to slightly disagree, at least with Hairston. If he's not the week 1 starter, I'll be slightly concerned. Agree on the rest, but also think Sanders should factor in right away as the first DT off the bench.
  20. Beane hates drafting WR for some reason.
  21. I heard to vastly different opinions. JOE Marino was not kind to this guy. They also had a Kentucky beat writer on, and he said that you have to watch his 2023 tape, when he wasn't playing through a back injury. He said...this guy was double and triple teamed on every play, and raved about him. You can't teach size, and in this point in t he draft i love the pick. If we can some how trade back in and steal Horton, it would be the perfect draft.
  22. Tory Horton sticks out like a sore thumb. Shocked he didn't go in the 3rd. I know he's recovering from injury, but the guy looks absolutely legit. Please go get him beane, and follow that up with the best remaining run plugger.
  23. Hard to argue with the value, but we still need a speed receiver and a 1T. Let's hope we're able to hit on those tomorrow.
  24. Wow.......totally forgot about Amos
