  1. Edwards is just as big, or bigger, faster, more athletic, and a better pass rusher. Anderson is a tough, blue collar, down in the trenches kind of guy. We will be better without the aging, declining Williams. I think everyone forgets that Fat Pat made his mark playing along side Teddy Washington and Sam Adams, who tied up multiple blockers and allowed Williams to look a lot better than he really is.
  2. Come on, we ought to get rid of him just to get rid of him, take whatever we can get, and be happy. He's a terrible club house cancer, sitting down there in Florida, and has already disrupted our entire offseason. I think he's also responsible for the collapse of the WNY economy.
  3. The Sabres have a nucleus of good, young players and, because they are in great shape with the cap, might be able to sign a front line center, power forward and big defenseman which would make them a serious contender.
  4. Followed by Waylon Jennings and Jonnny Cash.
  5. Teams have to sort through a lot of Palafaxes and Gomezes to find a Moorman.
  6. Thanks, clump. Everyone seems to think of the cap either as a non-issue or a minor annoyance. It's real, and we seem to be up against it at the moment.
  7. Equality of opportunity is a wonderful thing.
  8. Unfortunately, it comes with the rarified air of fame and fortune.
  9. Sometimes I think everyone here really loves aging, overpaid and declining veterans who were once good players. We already have Clements, McGee, Thomas, Greer, and a good looking rookie in King, plus 2 or 3 promising UDFAs. I'd love to see us develop some of our young guys, particularly when many of our defensive players are fast approaching, or are already past, 30. Let's spend our precious cap money on a more critical area of need.
  10. I'm generally opposed to signing aging veterans, but I might make an exception in Gandy's case. I'm not sure we could get him cheaply enough to fit under our cap, however.
  11. Bruce Smith, no doubt. He - or a member of his entourage - was arrogant and rude on several occasions when my wife or daughter simply asked for an autograph. Bruce was a great player, but a lousy human being. Guys like Kelly and Thomas posed to have their pictures taken with my wife and daughter, and Flutie, Andre Reed, Ruben Brown and several others were gracious about autographs.
  12. As an Orange fan, I would have to agree.
  13. 1.) Casablanca 2.) Falling Down 3.) Planes, Trains and Automobiles 4.) Nobody's Fool (Paul Newman/Jessica Tandy) 5.) The Outlaw Josey Wales 6-10.) The five "Dirty Harry" movies
  14. I think you'll like Hershey Park. I took my grand kids there a few years ago - when they were in the 7 to 10 range - and they loved it. Good coasters and other stuff.
  15. Fargo, with Frances McDormund and William B. Macy, was actually very entertaining.
  16. Hershey Park is huge and well worth the visit. Darien Lakes, now that it's a Six Flags property, is much improved and also a good place to spend a day.
  17. Two I haven't seen, but should have: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest The Passion of the Christ Kind of different movies.
  18. Whoops, this belongs in the thread about which movies you could watch over and over again. Sorry. . .
  19. My favorites, in no particular order, are Casablanca; Falling Down; Planes, Trains and Automobiles; Nobody's Fool (the Paul Newman/Jessica Tandy film) and The Outlaw Josey Wales.
