The "pro" game predictions by TV talking heads have been pretty terrible my entire life...and they aren't even factoring in point spreads. They just need to pick the winner and it seems like they are still pretty terrible, going back 35 years.

I turned on ABC based on some comments here, just in time to catch John F-ing McEnroe interview Aaron Rodgers. I'm turning the tv off.

Me too. I have said all off-season that we are likely to regress this year and I think the fanbase feels it; the progression upward has stalled for several years now. This year we go backward IMO. We need a reset. I have also predicted Dorsey will be gone after this year; a better OC could help rejuvenate interest.

Can we wait to play a game before we assign these initial "grades" ?? Seems early to me. And then compare them to later weeks as the season unfolds.

1st game of the season is NOT always "wacky." You are setting up a nice rationalization as an out for our loss, if we lose, before the game is played. All part of being a Bills fan. 😆

I still have the game on in the background, (tape delayed), while browsing this forum. It's 40-0, with 9:30 left in the 4th. The rain is absolutely DRIVING down and there are still a bunch of Giants fans in that stadium. People are nuts...with probably a long commute home and work in the morning. Never say they don't have decent fans in NJ.

Yep! The way the league works now, the "highest paid QB" is whoever is due up next for a K extension. That's it. Doesn't mean anything in terms of who is best. Just means player salaries go up all the time...at least at the important positions. This has been going on for at least 5 years now. It's ultimately all paid for with YOUR money, assuming you pay money to the NFL one way or the other.

All the night games look like dogs. Just watched and enjoyed Miami vs. LA today with Green and Harlan. Harlan is fairly entertaining and has a great voice; I don't mind him...Trent Green is god awful at his job and has been that way for 20 years. How he keeps his job I don't know. I'll enjoy haring Harlan call some of our big plays.

Dolphins weren't great? Tons of offense and scoring, Tua throws for damned near 500 yards, and probably has his best game as pro...but apparently this wasn't great b/c the D allowed too much scoring. That's what this sport is now. Success is measured by how many you can put on the board, consistently. The Miami team that played today will beat us twice if we do not have a solid, sharp game, with the offense on its game. Hell of a game! If only LA had ended up on top in the end. Could have gone either way; it went back and forth all day long. 7 lead changes I think; lost count! You realize Tua threw for nearly 500 yards and had his best game as pro, right?

God only knows. This wasn't the Giants' night. That's all; this crap happens to everyone in all sports. Too bad b/c I was hoping this would be a watchable game. The only game of the day I saw/liked today was the Miami/Chargers game, which was probably the game of the week. 7 (I think) lead changes, tons of big exciting plays, and lots of scoring. Tua's best game as a pro. Score always very close the entire game, and good finish too. Only problem was the wrong team won.

I'm in SE FL so I always get Fish games no matter what, but I was really surprised to see so much of the country getting that late dog of a game! Woof!
