The funny thing about the whistle in the Bengals game was the "expert referee" commenting in the broadcast booth had the entire thing identified and correctly analyzed in 3 seconds, saying "NO TD" and it should be a do-over. If he can sort it out that fast and accurately, why can't the official NFL system governing the game? It's a joke.

I wouldn't put Lamar or Mayfield anywhere near the likes of Tua or Hurts. Totally different classes of QB, with Lamar the best of them all. All have flaws though.

I think a lot of NFL players, especially if they come from huge college programs (like most of them do), really tune into the enthusiasm of Bills fans and the way we offer a college-like atmosphere at the NFL level. You don't get that as a player in a lot of destinations, but you do in Buffalo, and they are appreciative for it.

I say this constantly all over this board, but I'm amazed at how bad NFL football is broadcast. It's almost all pretty bad. There is huge room for improvement across the networks.

Rest up for the later games. Hopefully they are better.

It's one of those games where you know who is going to win from the beginning, which defeats the point of watching the game...unless you are a Tampa fan and enjoy watching your team in an easy win.

It was just one of those games. You see games like that more frequently in hockey than football. It's like the random NHL game where one team wins 9 or 10 to nothing, and everything they throw at the net randomly goes in...and the losing team can't buy a goal. There was just no way we were going to lose last night and no way the Patriots were going to win. If we can keep even 80% of that going, we'll be in great shape.

Of course we do! But it's still going to be a real challenge and one heck of a dog fight. Of course, I thought last night's game would be low scoring, close, and tight! So you NEVER KNOW! If play in Arrowhead and end up manhandling the Chiefs...I'd flip out.

Yeah, I just don't get into MVP, Pro Bowl, All Pro individual honors and what not. It's a team game and the goal is to win a Super Bowl. I would measure success with playoff wins and SB appearances/wins. We know Josh Allen's value! Who cares if a bunch of sports politicians elect him as "MVP" or not?

To be honest, I think that's more a fan sentiment. I'm sure he's trying to play each snap as best as he can, as he does in all games, and as pretty much all pro football players do on every play in every game. True! But I don't really see a style here.

17-0 with 9 minutes left in first half. Game on pace for what? A 42-0 Tampa win?

The real problem is that there are not enough really good teams to go around to make for an interesting post season. Of course they don't want to lose playoff revenue, but the playoffs should be a pair of semi-finals in each conference IMO, then a conference championship, then the SB. I.E., Seeds 1-4 in each conference make the payoffs, no one else. And seed them randomly with a draw too!

You forgot about the Jets. Wait a minute, I guess that's easy to do! Besides, the Jets are in permanent crash and burn mode. 🤪

How about Bills fans lighting themselves on fire, jumping off RV roofs onto folding tables, or lined up 100 fans long pissing against a wall inside the stadium b/c the bathrooms are out? Throwing a piece of molded rubber on the field seems mild in comparison.

I'm guessing he is dinged up but will not be out next game. Just a guess.

On the Saturday morning show on WGR-550, a Patriots fan caller called in, on his way to the game in Buffalo. He predicted a Patriots win because "Allen isn't good in cold weather." The host asked "If Allen will have trouble in the weather, what about Mac Jones?" and the caller responded that "Mac Jones should be able to handle it better and will be alright in the game." Such arrogance and confidence in this guy. It's still over at the GR-550 website for anyone who wants to listen. It's kind of funny. Talking heads spew stuff out, people listen to it, and then repeat it.

Hmm. 14 to Nil might just about do it for this one.

You aren't missing much with Buck and Aikman. Aikman naturally sounds like he's eating a sandwich and has a wad of half-chewed food shoved into one cheek while he's talking. It doesn't help that never says anything relevant or on point. Joe Buck is like an automated computer play by play machine. No soul or passion.
