  1. If what you are getting at is that the Bills need to give Devin Singletary more carries and less passes for Josh, then I would agree
  2. That’s like saying “he didn’t overthrow him by 20 yards....it was only 7”
  3. Im with you. The amount of excuses for Allen is unreal. In this thread fans have blamed: - Daboll for not developing an identity on offense - The WR’s for not being good enough at their position - The WR’s for not tracking the deep ball well. Ok....so why is the QB getting a pass through all this?
  4. Does it really matter if it was overthrown by 5, 10 or 20 yards? It wasn’t close and our QB is 0-16 on passes of 30 yards or more. It’s a problem!
  5. Maybe not last week, but yes there was a bomb to either John Brown or Andre Roberts that was close to 20 yards over their head and landed in the endzone in the Washington game. It was a gross overthrow
  6. Remember the fans in Kansas City who thought Tennessee was a “definite win”. ?
  7. it’s tough for a WR to be a deep ball threat when your QB is constantly throwing the ball 20 yards over your head. Would better WR’s help Josh out more? Probably, but it’s hard to find more fault with the team’s WRs than the play of the QB
  8. If he can’t make reads or throws, the game plan matter. You have to be able to execute
  9. Well said, my man. I’ve stated many times that I like Josh, but I also get frustrated by the whole “fire the coordinator” mindset of some Bills fans. I get that people want to defend Allen because so many in the media constantly criticize him. It just seems like people want to #blameDaboll because they don’t to face the unpleasant reality that, the critics might be right. At this point, we just don’t know. At this point in the year, do you honestly think that firing Daboll and replacing him with Ken Dorsey or Chad Hall or whoever else is on the staff will make a difference? I am certain it won’t. As for next season, I would still bet on Daboll staying. I think they want as much consistency for Allen as possible and I also think that McDermott is in no danger of getting fired. Since he’s not desperate I can see him not making a move. But then again, he voiced that the offense needs to “score more point,” and statement like that reminded me of what he said about Dennison in the season before he fired him. So who knows.
  10. I love the whole “fire the coordinator” mentality of some Bills fans. Fire the defensive coordinator while the offense struggles to score 20 points. Sounds about right...
  11. Funny but I’ve been saying the same thing for weeks and have been labeled as someone with a “crusade” who is “jaded” If anyone thinks that replacing Daboll will suddenly fix Josh’s shortcomings, and if you buy into Turner’s film analysis, you might be mistaken.
  12. On paper it sounds like this would be a great move for the Bills. But there was a reason Brown played some much Special Teams when the Bills played Cincy this year. He’s probably not very good.
  13. He kind of does. Even in short yardage, he hasn’t looked so great. I think he’s a good player to give a few carries to but we need more Singletary
  14. So this won’t happen - there’s no need to even entertain this question. Josh Allen is getting next year with about a certainty of 99%. If McDermott was on the hot seat then maybe you’d see the team make a move to bring in a player like Andy Dalton. But McDermott is pretty comfortable and I don’t think this will happen.
  15. I think he’s talking about the regular season
  16. Interesting thread. I do think they should run the ball more. But I also don’t think the Bills should turn Josh into Mitch Trubisky.
  17. Except the fact that most of Josh’s deep passes this year have been 10 yards in front of the receiver. Tough to track a badly overthrown ball It just means that past results don’t always indicate future success or failure. Maybe but I see a lot of limitations with Josh’s game. It’s tough to think that a new OC could come in and suddenly transform Josh into a different QB. My guess is that he would be about the same.
  18. You also know that Josh has also never had success at any level, right?
  19. Then what’s the right offense for Allen? I don’t disagree that the QB he has become is not the one they wanted when they traded up for him. But I think a lot of that had to do with his limitations. Welcome to the NFL in 2019
  20. Thanks for proving my point
  21. Dave I completely agree. Daboll is not without his flaws. But you have to consider the QB’s he has to work with
  22. Sure it’s not like he ever won a national championship as an OC. If you want to argue that Daboll has only been an average to below average OC, then it’s a fair point. But you just can’t discount his below average talent at QB either
  23. Who is the type of OC than can elevate Allen? You can argue that Allen NEVER has been anything better than average at any level.
