  1. Out of all the predictions, this is the least likely. McDermott doesn’t fire coaches mid-year, especially if he’s not under any pressure himself
  2. If Twitter posts are any indication, it sounds like there will be more Bills fans at the stadium than Dolphins fans
  3. No....you are incorrect. The game we are talking about took place on January 20, 1991. Hence it is the 1991 AFC Championship game. The Bills vs Denver AFC Championship game took place on January 12, 1992. While it is sometimes considered the “1990 season,” this game took place in 1991...not 1990
  4. What rock are you living under? There are all kinds of comparisons to Bo Jackson’s hip injury.
  5. Good point - I never thought of that. Bo runs all over the defense and the Bills realize they have an issue on defense before Super Bowl XXV Yeah this is all hypothetical but it’s fun to imagine what could have happened
  6. This might be a bit out there, but it is definitely topical. The reporting of the initial Tua injury today is that it’s the same hip injury that ended Bo Jackson’s NFL career. Up until now, I completely forgot that his injury happened the week before the AFC Championship game with the Bills. That Oakland Raiders team was very good and easily the 2nd best team in the AFC. The Bills did beat them earlier in the season but Bo was not playing yet and a few fluky things happened. If you remember Bo Jackson was on a freaking tear in 1989 and 1990 average over 5 yards per carry. Coupled with Marcus Allen and talents like Willie Gault and Tim Brown made a meh QB like Jay Schroeder look decent. What I’m wondering is - do you think that the game’s outcome is different if Bo Jackson was playing in that football game. Based on his performance weeks earlier, I feel he’s certainly someone the the defense would need to game plan around. It’s interesting to think about because if the Bills don’t win in 1991, do they ever reach another Super Bowl? It always seemed to me that the crushing way they lost at SB25 always motivated them to try to get back to the big game. In
  7. I was excited for the Tyler Kroft signing this offseason considering he seemed to be a much more athletic version of Scott Chandler. But since returning from injury 3 weeks ago, he’s had hardly any impact on the offense. From what I’ve been able to see, it looks like he’s had 3 targets, and 2 catches for just 32 yards. With the emergence of Dawson Knox this season (due partly to Kroft’s absence) and Josh Allen learning to make reads and utilize his receiving options consistently, it makes me wonder what his role on the team will be this year and moving forward. The majority of the snaps will go to Knox this season and next season. The Bills love using Lee Smith (when he’s not committing penalties!) in 2 TE and “big people” sets. Then there’s Tommy Sweeney. He’s been inactive for most of the year and yes he’s a 7th round pick, but it makes you wonder if he can match Kroft’s production as a backup TE. This leaves Kroft as a #2 TE at best. Many times a TE2 is the 3rd option in passing plus. At this point, I’m not sure if Allen is a point in his passing where he can read a defense well enough to utilize this position. Surprisingly there is an out clause in his contract in 2020. Where the Bills could void the remaining years of his deal and eat about $1.6 M of dead cap space. Best case scenario - what realistic role do you see Tyler Kroft playing this season? And do you think he’s in danger of getting cut next season, given the out-clause in his contract in 2020?
  8. We will need Trent Murphy to step up
  9. I guess I have to listen to more of their stuff. I only know the song “Stars,” which I didn’t think was that good. It used to be played all the time on the new alternative radio stations that popped up in the mid 90’s Oh yeah I’m under 45. Was Squeeze a very popular band because right now very few people talk about them From what I read it’s an expression, like “it’s cool for cats”
  10. Are you companies The Beatles to Squeeze? Not a good comparison...
  11. Hum? They had that song “Stars.” Reminds me of corporate alternative radio No way... Radiohead had more than 1 hit across their first three albums. Not a fair comparison Cool for Cats is such a good song. How am I just finding about this now
  12. I was talking underrated bands, not one hit wonders
  13. Squeeze! Yes that’s right, the UK band Squeeze. I just found out about this group a few weeks ago and wow they are awesome. So many of their songs are excellent. The sad thing, is I’ve never heard of most of their bigger hit. I did hear the song “Tempted” on a commercial but the rest were way before my time. Here’s a few good ones. Anyone have any takes on Squeeze?
  14. I though the smart ones subscribed to the The Athletic?
  15. does anyone actually pay for the Buffalo News?
  16. I said that since before the draft! He would have been a perfect backup. I remember though, Tampa Bay signed him the day before FA in 2018 so the Bills never really have a chance to sign him.
  17. It’s surprising because Chris Brown’s takes are usually so vanilla and boring that no one cares. Im not as big of a fan as you are - I don’t take the time to listen to him. Also he blocks people on Twitter in the same manner as Cian Fahey. If you disagree with him, he’ll block you. It happened to me back in 2013 when He said he thought Chan Gailey was safe as HC. I challenged he and he blocked me. Much like Cian
  18. He was a good deep threat last year. Question is, who do you cut to bring him on board? You can’t have 7 WR’s: Beasley and Brown are 100% safe Roberts is provably safe because they like him as a KR/PR McKenzie is probably safe because he offers something different. That leaves: Foster or Williams And then, who remains inactive?
  19. How anyone can categorize Ed Oliver as anything other than a disappointment, is beyond me.
  20. I’m still going with 10-6....would not shock me to see the team finish 8-8 though. Still not sold on Josh Allen
  21. Im talking about Allen. Fairburn wrote an article about his long ball. Said he was like 3 for 30 in passes over 30 yards. You sir, are wrong.
  22. Such an awesome team. This group deserved a Super Bowl Championship
  23. Probably could sell that on eBay for $30. It’s pretty cool
  24. no he didn’t. He connected on like 2 or 3 deep passes all season long
  25. Yes it does. No it’s not.... it’s calling a player who hasn’t panned our well a disappointment. I guess he deserves an A. A Top 10 pick who plays 30% of snaps and is on the bench in the 4th quarter. Makes sense... I’ll bump it up to an A+ if he plays 15%. Thats reality according to Nick and Nolan. Who listens to that show anyway?
