  1. Uhh...I thought Conor McGregor was gonna get suspended for busting out some windows, this is totally unfair!
  2. I’ve always liked Vic, has earned the benefit of the doubt I hope
  3. Kind of like all the threads discussing how bad the Bills absolutely would lose to Minnie last week... But the dude is 41 years old. I think the point was that eventually despite all the “voodoo that he do” he would run out of fountain of youth espressos. Hope that he doesn’t know when to hang it up gracefully and I get to see some real stinkers from him, to slightly soothe all of the pain he’s brought our franchise, which is almost impossible. I know that comes off sounding petty, but hey, haven’t we earned that right by this point?
  4. Bills went down that road with the one year rental Terrell Owens, and that was before the pushups in his driveway or flexing in a home gym next to the Koi pond with choppers buzzing overhead like it was the OJ slow roll (ok, the koi pond is taking some dramatic liberties) but he was already a head case himself before the Russ Brandon/Jauronimo (love that moniker on this board) regime brought him in for 2009. Anyone remember that year? Jauronimo was mercifully axed halfway through and Fewell started his forgettable run. TO was still able to put up decent numbers for what he was at that point in his career though. 5. A 17-year drought is just what the Dr. ordered. Hope that Brady/Belichick are around long enough to taste some of it.
  6. Have to admit I jumped full tilt on the bandwagon of goodbye Leslie after the LAC debacle and McD's taking over the playcall sheet, but am pleasantly surprised by how our DC responded and put his best foot forward--the players including Hughes obviously also responded by dramatically upping their game with the backs to the wall. I think that a team can smell right away if character/grit from the top down is real or fake (a/k/a The Ryan Bros. Express), and plays accordingly over the course of a long season. Kudos to the coaching staff then.
  7. I've pretty much hyped it every time they fall flat in September one or 2 times since at least 2012, so I fully get it. A lot of national guys say just wait until Edelman comes back and takes the doubles off of Gronk--but Brady just looks 41 years old heaving the ball anywhere close to deep so far this year--I feel like that's a difference in the eyeball test from previous years. They've always killed in the short passing attack though, so who knows if it will even matter.
  8. No matter how many deep tissue massages, Terminator cryogenic freezing routines or no-name TB12 endorsed vitamin supplements from his Guerrero guru that Brady gets, at some point Father Time will come calling for him too, "Faust" type devil deals notwithstanding. The Patsies have outlived their dynasty's 9 lives--I have a feeling the end is close, and all is no longer well in that locker room. Or is it just me hoping for too much?
  9. The other factoid of useless trivia associated with the QB greats of that era (I will also include Montana even though he was already in the league before '83) that I find interesting as I'm from there originally, is that most of them came up in the steel mill geography of western PA--nicknamed the Cradle of Quarterbacks because it literally churned out so many good ones--Marino, Kelly, Montana, Hostetler, and before that, Unitas, Namath, just to name a few...good article about that here: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1994-01-30-9401300392-story.html
  10. Random add on—one of my proudest fan moments coming up was being able to memorize/recite each players name from the team photo in 1993–back then players actually were proud to play most of their careers with only one team (or so I’d like to believe)—anyway, the guy I always thought had the coolest name on that roster was LB Marvcus Patton—dude could play some pretty good ball to boot.
  11. Why would you not just keep feeding him the rock? Can’t stop him and eat clock too; oh wait never mind, Woods just takes it in...
  12. “There’s woods, another 1st down” ?
  13. So many missed tackles, not getting off blocks, Zimmer looking redder by the second
  14. Love the play call but practice that one much?
  15. Wow that D line getting manhandled again on 1st down
  16. The “bet” that will live in infamy...
  17. Peterman showed me this move during training camp
  18. Got it—overall tone was getting less than moderately civilized at times, but I do appreciate the distinction/explanation
  19. That would pretty much take out 99.9% of every other prognosticator as well, along with a similar ratio of TBD. My heart told me they had a shot last week and would pull it off, but the left side of my brain said, doubtful. I definitely had hope though, same as this week.
  20. Regardless of whether or not the bet was ever placed, it did provide for some entertaining fodder on both sides leading up to the game, sparking a voluminous amount of posts as to the wisdom of doing so, that’s continuing even now, although not nearly as much fun as it was day of, devolving into nothing productive. When does admin propose to finally put this and the other threads tied to it, out of its misery?
  21. Love the intensity McD brought, just in case anyone was thinking of laying around on their laurels from the Minnie game—if anything, this week facing a grumpy GB squad with a 1st ballot HOFer almost makes this an even tougher road game, and the boys will have to dig deeper to find the kind of internal wrecking ball that was the Bills last week. Huge win last week, but to really give the national media and naysayers on this board some what for, they need to pull off another upset. Won’t do that by losing focus in practice. And as others have posted in more detail, our WR’s individually are poor at best, so the effort needs to be rock solid...
  22. Agreed—while I credit the defense for keeping it going, we’ve already seen Chicago give up close to a 20 point lead this year and we all know what happened with the Pats coming back from 28-3 down a couple SB’s ago. Point is, no lead is safe these days, especially with that much time left
  23. Quote of the day IMO: "I don't think we took them too lightly," Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said. "I think they came out and kicked our butts." http://www.espn.com/nfl/recap?gameId=401030784 While this one was not his, Rodak must’ve been scrambling all day to delete his ready made “Bills blown out as expected” copy in favor of “what, what just happened?”
