  1. ^^^^^This. I know I know, I didn't have to open the thread. But TBD is definitely a place I like to go to as part of getting away from the daily noise, including politics. Isn't there a subforum somewhere way away from the main page where this can go?
  2. KB was already worth 2 Panthers slots. I think we're even with Buffalo South now.
  3. THIS^^^^^^ Will never get old But what's not to love about having your team coached by this guy? Amirite?
  4. Exactly. This little nugget by Monsieur Biddle could just as easily have been produced by a simple lookup of which teams have the most cap $$ to spend this offseason, and voila! A twitterific tweet oozing with journalistic chops is born.
  5. Also wanted to give an honorable mention to the "Yes, Minister" and its sequel "Yes, Prime Minister" series that showed the behind the scenes political machinations at No. 10 Downing Street during what was contemporary 80's Britain--very humorous but also probably spot on in terms of how the sausage gets made politically in ruling circles. The premise of a newbie PM who tries to shake things up and is shut down at every opportunity by the learned establishment types that creates the inherent tension in the show is definitely worth a watch, imho.
  6. This is the kind of moment we can have now with our embarrassment’s worth of cash rich deals, since McBeane forced us to take our Whaley medicine all in one gulp of dead money 2018...dare we say it’s a process with an upwards trajectory?
  7. But wait! I left dejected a few hours ago since I was told by a not insignificant amount of posters on here that we were doomed and all is lost because Beane broke the bank for 2 mill on Gore...you mean the hot takes are not spot on after all??
  8. That's why you're such a true journalist. I doff my cap.
  9. Why do you have to be such a voice of reason right now?
  10. Post of the week--classic!
  11. Scanning TBD is almost as vital as drinking enough water throughout the work day. Makes me more productive! Plus it gives me something to look forward to in between all of the TPS Report Memos that circulate around my version of "Office Space." Nominated for Post of the Day! Update your resume accordingly.
  12. Which is nice... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X48G7Y0VWW4
  13. Just think--the Steelers' highest draft choice received from the Raiders as part of the trade for the "best WR in football" was a 3rd round pick. Beane nailed that with Tyrod, a career journeyman who probably will never win you a playoff game if his NFL life depended on it. Just sayin'
  14. Wanted to pass these sentiments along, as well as the work being done at the state level to fix this travesty once and for all: https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/09/opinions/daylight-saving-time-yates/index.html
  15. By the looks of the upthread sentiments, today must be opposite day for you Mr. Vader.
  16. Let's add one Shawne Merriman...I had such high hopes for that pickup at the time, but just like Buddy, I was fooled by the 'roids assisted performances he'd turned in, which also made him a porcelain doll by the end of his Bills tenure on the injury report.
  17. I’m with the general gist here—couldn’t begin to name top 40 currently, haven’t been to the movies in ages, and mostly watch cooking shows or hgtv these days—of course, having young kids doesn’t lend itself to keeping up with all the latest in the first place, lol. But somehow I don’t think I’m missing all that much! And I’m with Augie, I’m still letting people on my lawn so it’s not an age thing (yet)
  18. It all comes down to the moves for landing Allen; nothing else on the list here will save his job if Allen flames out spectacularly, whereas Allen becoming our next Kelly will elevate him to the pantheon of Buffalo FO all-time great. It’s actually not fair to reduce it to this one factor, but I think it’s unavoidable, imo.
  19. The “Rex and Doug Show” literally from beginning to end, special guest star Rob Ryan not to be missed either.
  20. Big hair bands of the 80’s...crossover rock like “Stryper” had some skills here too! The “yellow and black attack” and “to hell with the devil” albums in particular I can recommend from this era.
  21. Ugghhh. As a parent to small children, it’s especially tough because bedtime needs to be adjusted, and figure on them getting up an hour earlier too, until their internal clocks adjust...not fun. When will this WW1 invention go the way of the Dodo bird?
