While I definitely hear where you’re coming from, imho given the type of roster turnover we’ve seen beyond the normal churn, especially the Bills, I don’t know how much we can extrapolate from previous seasons to this specific question (except that Allen will own Miami again! :)) I just think Allen can’t be held down forever, and he has a lot to prove with Diggs gone, including a deep run in the playoffs—Super Bowl.

As others have already mentioned upthread, pass rush…we haven’t solved it really ever with this regime, and we know getting pressure on Mahomes is key. Really hope I’m pleasantly surprised this year…2nd main concern for me is Bass.

The Fins came closest last year, but for the Bills’ late season run, it was Miami’s to lose. Returning many of the same cast of characters over there, my guess is it will be similarly neck and neck until late in the year when we pull it off again 👏.

One of my favorites has to be last year right after the KC game in KC for my son’s first real Bills game, where the home crowd was incensed over the penalty to take away Kelce’s throw back TD late. I was exchanging almost guiltily, muted “go Bills” with other brethren and gals in the concourse walking out, who would flash a quick smile my way in passing knowing we’d just slain the regular season KC dragon again…good stuff! Also vote in the poll how often you hear go Bills out and about where you live!

Well, let me post a corollary question—when was the last time Diggs stepped up huge in a meaningful game when it mattered most? Personally I think Diggs after all the hype leading into the game, will be used as a decoy on the field a lot, for the reasons OP gave—counting on the Bills to key on him while their other plethora of weapons are targeted instead. Regardless, Josh goes off and makes this a statement W. Maybe even a hurdle thrown in for old times’ sake! 🤫

Have said it before and will say it again—nail the draft for a franchise altering QB, and you become a “made” man as GM. But clearly he’s done more than that—the type of depth the Bills can routinely field has been pretty impressive imho.
