Chris Brown just now on OBL- Allen has a rating of 125 in the 4th Q this year, good for 3rd best in the league. Say what you will, he rises to the occasion when the chips are down as Mr. Clutch!

Agreed. My take is if this was our early season “egg” offensively, wow the future looks bright—this was the type of game we would absolutely have lost in previous years—instead, just like game 1, we overcame the mistakes exactly when absolutely needed most, and show immense confidence/grit by doing so. Pretty? No. Ugly? At times, but as the cliche goes, style points count for nothing, wins and losses do. I expect maximum effort against the Pats, and hopefully we have Singletary back for that game... And yet he made enough great plays when it counted, to overcome and deliver the W. Let the kid play and I think we end up with more good than bad, usually

Bruh, I’ve followed Joe for many moons, and you can hardly use the term “slavish” with a straight face—he’s called out the FO for some FA decisions as well as on draft day (on record for wanting #1 marquee WR that we never got), and has had plenty to poo poo about certain Bills alumni along the way. Just sayin’. I find his acerbic wit and analysis mostly spot on, but that’s just me. BTW, I also enjoy reading many of your takes on the Bills that are often well thought out even if I disagree with ultimate conclusions just as often, FWIW.

Given the fact that Beane hedged his Kroft bet with not one, but 2 outstanding to date draft picks at the same position which are already producing for us, I find it slightly difficult to muster the appropriate outrage for the OP’s liking. In fact, the Bills are either tied for or leading the league in number of rookies starting for them on Sundays this year, which further bodes well for them for years to come as those same players continue to mature imho.

AB better be saving those shekels as his window appears to be closing on further lucrative NFL checks...but then again he’s been saving some already at the expense of many who’ve had to chase him down for nonpayment, so he must be playing 4D chess of his own?
