The fact that Josh is gutting this out when he's clearly compromised instead of sitting him for a 3-4 game stretch and a late season playoff push makes me think they know this isn't just going to heal on its own and he needs surgery. In the event that Josh does get Tommy John after the season, what direction do you guys think Beane should take with the team? We're about to enter cap hell with all the deals we signed. Does it make sense to trade away guys like Diggs, Dawkins, or Tre, for example, and go for a one year stealth rebuild a la 08 Pats? At some point we need to start thinking about the next five years even though that point is clearly after the season.

You know who you are. 1636 rushing yards on the season. Over 5 ypc. Cook and Singletary over 100 yards this week despite offensive line issues and against a good run D. The roster isn't even built for this. Josh is a stud who carries us lots but our running game has taken a lot of flak undeservedly this year. It's legit and it's time we recognized that fact. They deserve a game ball.

Tim Hortons Lots of TBD posters have been complaining about our running game and play calling the last few weeks despite the fact we've been crushing it on the ground.

We can't run the baaalllll. Our play calling suuuuucks. Waaaaaaa. Can't wait for all the haters to show up in the post game thread and admit they were wrong the last few weeks. I won't hold my breath.

If 29 for 164 is regression, I'll take it. Cook will bounce back. Lots of designed QB runs mixed in this week, but when your QB isn't confident in his elbow and is throwing it to the other team more than anyone else in the league that's what you have to do. Our offense is built around the pass, not the run. We're never going to line it up in I formation and hand it off 30 times with this roster. Blame Beane for that if you must. I'd argue we built this offense around Josh's strengths, so when Josh is hurt or not playing well it's just not going to look as good. But the running game has outperformed expectations this year. Easily.

Run game has been terrific the last five weeks. Some of that is Allen has been terrific running the ball, but so have Singletary and Cook.

Being extra cautious worked out today but we may need more from White next week. I don't know how much more I can watch of Dane. We might see Siran Neal next week to help out vs. the run.

How about just don't underthrow it. The miss on that play was long not short.

Josh is the one who threw the ball - he's at least partly to blame for it. If this was the only red zone INT we'd seen in a while maybe we could dismiss it. Not a good throw. Not a good play call.
