On offense you have a number of things working themselves out. Lot of new personnel on offense. Lack of explosive players at the skill position. QB still learning his craft. Questionable play calling , use of personnel by the OC. Too any turnovers and dumb pre snap penalties by the offense. On defense the play calling is too conservative. Defense is not generating enough pressure and not enough turnovers to set up the offense by default. Same as the offense the Bills lack a true difference maker on the D line. Was hoping Ed Oliver would be that guy

Feels like it . To Me Allen looked off in his demeanor right from the start like he knew the gameplan and was not into it. If McDermott wants to play it safe run the ball and go play action from a pro set Right now I hate this shotgun small ball thing were running. I'm still hopeful the offense improves as the season goes on but it looks like were talent deficient again on offense.. We simply dont have any scary players on offense that can dictate to a defense. John Brown is nice but if he's the best thing we got going that isnt saying much

C- at times the Bills will put together a 10 play drive but then they follow it up with a quarter and a half of nothing . A lot of it is execution and being to cute with play calls If Gore is working feed him. He gets tired give it to the next back. He needs to remove the endless Allen hard count. Its clear our O line and Lee Smith are not disciplined enough and we get more false starts plus it allows the D line to time it when Allen is getting the ball with 1 on the clock.

Daboll's offenses rankings in pts per game 2009 29th 2010 31st 2011 20th 2018 30th 2019 24th not exactly confidence inspiring

so the needs for a true #1 wr , LT and a rb with explosion gets put off yet again

Bingo , I find it hard to believe that lining up Dimarco or Frank Gore out wide is ever our best option Or running a end around to Knox or Lee Smith running patterns Or running your franchise qb on endless runs to try and convert third and short especially after he just came back from a concussion

think he values his play design more than the talent running it I dont think there is room in the playbook for DiMarco to be downfield 30 yards running a streak yet Daboll thought it was worthwhle to try it

Daboll needs some semblance of a real NFL game plan that involves the run and play action Defense needs to be more aggressive and force some turnovers More consistency and eliminate the endless barrage of pre snap penalties We let the Redskins or any team hang around it may not end well

Agreed, that drive seemed to deflate the Bills Defense allowed the Eagles to dictate which is inexcusable given the Eagles lack of any explosive players on the outside and all of their injuries coming in. Also Eagles looked they didnt want to even be in Buffalo till the Allen fumble

the point is none of these guys are a true #1 None of them are going to be able to physically win almost any given week Bills dont invest in offensive skill position players There are no great options in FA and watch we'll use the 1st round pick on defense

Edmunds is better in space than in the slop/traffic. He probably would fare better as a OLB of course it helps if your D tackles dont get pushed back 5 yards.
