I don't see McDermott winning a super bowl He doesnt have the ability to outscheme or adjust on game day Fine man , good mentor but not the guy I want in the critical moment to be in charge He comes in with a plan and if it goes south he is always out of his depth

the big issue is the coaches believe their scheme is just fine and it was lack of execution and lack of talent that exposed the defense So we will once again invest more resources on that side of the ball Personally I hate watching this defense on game days Even when they limit a team its not the style defense I want to watch Soft zone conservative D waiting for a team to make a mistake or have a penalty or lucky turnover to stall a drive They just fired the safeties coach Guess he was the reason they got wrecked Sunday

they do seem to stink with personnel decisions Putting the entire offseasons resources into fixing the O line seems the move but knowing them will go get some situational players for the defense

McDermotts scheme for defense only works if the front 4 can get home so expect more draft capital on d line unless they think Von can stay healthy and will be the same guy after the surgery in his mid 30's Just fix the O Line I'd give the bills a better shot of outscoring opponents behind a solid line than trying to build the a shutdown defense

they wont do that Beane has repeatedly mentioned draft and retain your own failures to extravagant contracts Gotta justify those picks I hope Tremaine breaks the bank so I can watch him get drug downfield and misread his gaps for the next 5 years

what a bunch of excuses KC's been drafting end of the round for years You have to actually hit on players once in a while Drafting a guy and he's finally good when his contract up doesnt count either Our drafts have been subpar to crap He hit on Allen and he and McDermott think thats job security for the next decade He's basically setting us up to be ready for him to keep/overpay for the mediocrities they drafted

can almost guarantee they will either draft a safety or a lber Needs to be OL/OL/OL Wont be anything left of #17 they keep trotting out these crap lines in front of him

its kind of funny I wonder what he and Frazier change once they see the formation I bet its all for show I have yet to see their defense make any sort of changes/impact mid game

Problem is nothing will change McDermott is not going to suddenly switch to aggressive style of defense Je's going to continue to play mediocre known talent instead of giving young guys a shot They will continue to value "process" guys. Beane will continue to suck at drafting in the early rounds They will keep the nepotism going and bring back retreads and the Carolina connection We wont address the O line and they will continue to overpay guys they drafted even if they are just mediocre Wait till they franchise tag Edmunds He will make terrible in game decisions and continue to blunder through time outs and challenges Nothing going to change We'll whoop up on clown teams and Josh will win a few games on his own we should have lost Playoffs will come and soon as we play the big boy teams we'll get embarrassed again

Mcdermott is running the wrong type of defense Once they got Josh up to speed in 2021 they should have switched to a attacking defense Instead we have the slow death by a thousand cuts approach of defense We should be taking shots to knock teams out not sitting around in soft zone all day praying for a errant pass

clearly they played their worst game by far Bengals had a good game plan and they pushed the Bills around Think this team has been figured out Soft and no week to week changes/wrinkles on defense

at minimum I'd look elsewhere for DC. Honestly I think most people greatly over rated our roster.
