Kyler Murray was bad, super bad during that first half. He had multiple batted balls as well, which was a fear of many due to his size. His second game will tell us more, but I’m still not expecting much of him.
If the one leak we have ever seen is to be believed, they had Baker 3rd behind Allen and Darnold. Extremely plausible they would have taken Allen over Baker if they had the chance.
Then it should have been an incompletion. Beasley is the entire reason that throw ends up an INT. He had a beautiful scoop to pop it right up in the air. These things are not mutually exclusive. It was a bad throw and Beasley causes the INT. Both of these can be true. In this case they are.
I don’t mind Bell for his hold out. He went about it respectfully unlike his teammate. Bell just sat out, didn’t hammer Instagram or hire a social media consultant team to help force his release. Then he signed as a free agent. He also plays a position in the NFL where you likely get one big contract before “expiring” from your prime. Unlike WR’s who are given huge money deals. Yes I just turned this into a Bell Vs AB thing, but one went about it the right way IMO (Bell).
As long as keeps having 14+ catches for under 100 yards I’ll take it all day.
It’s funny to look at the schedule again after week one. Probable W’s in my book were Cinci and Titans and now I’m 50/50 on those. Pitt was a tough game and they look like hot garbage. Had Cleveland as a likely L and I’m 50/50 on that one now too.
Gannon was horrendous. I also noticed the “John Smoke Brown” call for the Jets WR. I got a good laugh at that one. Gannon wanted Bell to go off so bad, he must have been super disappointed that he only had 90 combined yards. Also, any mistake Darnold made was not mentioned. Any mistake Allen made they amplified. Any good play Allen made was marginalized. A good play for Darnold and Gannon was as giddy as a school girl. Just terrible color commentary. Hopefully we get Romo one of these games soon.
They honestly suck a lot of the fun out of the NFL. I can see them going no worse than 14-2 this season and maybe losing to the Chiefs in the playoffs. No one else in the AFC or NFC can hang with them IMO. Why Brady couldn’t just be like a normal QB and not play forever is beyond me.
I know its not a popular take. But I would exchange 15 yards for someone putting an absolute monster hit on Brady any day of the week. Your 99% to lose against the Pats. Without Brady maybe it’s 50%. That’s worth 15 yards. Also, remember, half of all stats are made up.
You have to put pressure on him and actually succeed. It’s the only way to beat him unless you can out gun him. KC is the only team in the AFC that can do that.
