  1. I’m not sure I would take Zeke for free at this point, given his contract demands. He basically has the value of a free agent.
  2. Do people on directv still pay a monthly fee for the boxes? They gave me mine for free and I just assumed every other customer got them for free as well.
  3. For the Alliance and, I suspect, the XFL, the viewership will end up being die hard football fans. The casual NFL fan that pretty much watches their team only, or some NFL games in a season, is simply not wasting their time watching other football leagues. The XFL probably thinks (hopes) they can pul some of these fans, but they likely cannot. I watch football nearly every night during the fall. I will watch any college game and any NFL game. Come spring, I will watch any XFL game that gets televised. I suspect I am the rare fan though. Who knows, the USFL would have succeeded if Trump hadn’t blown it up. Anything is possible.
  4. The good thing is, this league is going to last one season at least. There is no way Vince Mahon lets this thing fold mid season like the alliance did.
  5. Omg I forgot about the food draft. Who the heck came up with that idea. A thanksgiving food draft on a sports radio show? What!!!! It is unbearable.
  6. I believe expansion of replay is horrible for the purity of the game. It is part of the reason I enjoy High School Football, it is still a pure game and it does not take 4 hours to complete. Replay is completely out of hand. We have a replay for everything and replay reviews feel like they take 5-10 minutes per review. Multiply that by a possibility of 4 challenges per game and we are wasting 40 minutes. That being said, it isn’t going anywhere, so it must be corrected. Ive been trumpeting a plan that I feel would work pretty well. Replay is for correcting the egregious calls or non-calls. We can all agree that could have a place in the beloved game of football. It must be metered though, it cannot run rampant. First, make everything challengeable. It is practically there already, so just rip off the band aid. If you got called for a hold and felt it wasn’t a hold, challengeable. Incorrect spot? Sure that’s challengeable. Unsportsmanlike conduct that you don’t believe happened? Challengeable if you think there is evidence on tape to overturn it. Late hit out of bounds that was or wasn’t called? Challengeable. In addition to this, allow for challenges in the final two minutes. There is no more “booth review”. If the coach wants something reviewed, he throws the flag for it. Coaches still have two challenges per game, but that is it. They get two challenges of the game regardless of how those two go. If they win both, great, you still don’t get a third. Replays are also done in real time. The game is viewed and officiated in real time, why let ultra slow motion be used to detect a blade of grass on someone’s knee when he fumbled. Lastly, there is a “shot clock”. Once the referee begins viewing the tablet this clock begins. Something like 2-3 minutes feels right. If the referee doesn’t make a call within that time frame it automatically reverts to “call on the field stands.” If you can’t overturn a call conclusively in that time frame it isn’t egregious enough to be overturned anyways.
  7. Sure am. The morning show on WGR doesn’t do that. NFL Radio on sirius XM doesn’t do that. Do other cities local radio also act like arrogant idiots?
  8. Never understood how he has any callers to his show. If you don’t agree precisely with his opinion he will berate you until he is blue in the face.
  9. Also, Denver and Buffalo fans both have Cleveland to thank for taking Ward 4th overall. Without that the Broncos don’t get Chubb and Buffalo pays far more to trade up and draft Allen.
  10. It was funny watching the national media in general fawn over Murray. Starting around mid off season when the rumors of him going number 1 to Arizona were swirling. Every NFL “analyst” was in full “ I have to find something to love on him” mode. Around there he started being labeled as this can’t miss number one overall generational prospect at QB. Never mind the fact that he will be getting hit by offensive linemen literally double his weight, or the fact that he’s a midget but NFL QB standards. Murray is 100% unproven. The other 4 at least have game tape against NFL talent.
  11. I don’t agree with trading Zay as he is still young and really hasn’t had horrible production. Shady on the other hand. High cap hit, declining production, wrong side of 35. Easily 2 guys on the roster right now that can produce like he can. If you can get anything for him, you do it.
  12. This guy violated conditional reinstatement. How in the hell do you get reinstated less than a year after that.
  13. I want to see Allen have a precision drive like Mayfield did last week. I know it is pre-season, but just give us one drive of perfection and call it a night.
  14. I feel Peterman took a solid 3rd place on the Raider’s QB Depth Chart after tonight. Glennon was on fire. Around 11/14 with 150 yards and 2 TDS. Oh well, Glennon throwing the ball to Antonio Brown if Derek Carr gets hurt is still good.
  15. I hope so. Because Glennon has 95 yards and a TD. I don’t want to see him win the backup job.
  16. I had to look this up. Shocked it’s legit. Any Enterprise employee other than car prep or driver requires a bachelors degree. Who would have thought.
  17. Exactly. He is being super cheap. Like someone is going to fly out there for a signed helmet that AB himself gets for free. How about a minimum of 100k, you pay for my flight out there, and give me a few box seats to games this year.
  18. DIRECTV seems to be getting away from this under ATT, unfortunately. Many examples on here of members who called to cancel and they cancelled them without question. Then you have people like me who tried to cancel and they cut my bill by around 2/3rds to get me to stay. They are maddeningly inconsistent.
  19. The big problem is, people sign away things like this, and then bring a lawsuit anyways. Often they win or get a big settlement. Brown is definitely the person who would sign a paper until it is no longer convenient for him. It is completely understandable that the NFL wouldn’t be willing to take that chance for someone who has shown to lack all basic reasoning skills.
  20. I cannot believe some of the people in this world. Father buys son a brand new BMW and he pushes it into the river because it is “too small”. I was thankful we had a roof over our head and food ?‍♂️ https://www.foxnews.com/auto/son-pushes-bmw-river-jaguar
