I’ve just read an excellent book about Barcelona soccer club and it this it mentions away travel and how sleeping one night in an unfamiliar place really mashes the brain and therefore induces a lack of sleep. Sleep is so important to everyone but an athlete not getting the right sleep must impact their performance.

Yeah, I usually do something similar (UK being one hour in behind mainland Europe). So sleep at 10pm for 3 hours before then awake for 1:15am kick off. Last night was a 12:15am kick off so the one less hour came into it. I just stayed awake until kick off. Tuesday morning is an early start (6am). At least it’s the last one for a while. I think the next few are 6pm kick offs and even a 9:25pm for the Chiefs game.

Yeah, whatever it is certainly stopped him in his tracks. The sighting of him stood around with no strapping/ice on sounds positive.

Henry certainly looks like he's lost a burst. I wonder if that injury second half of last season has done for him? Their receivers don't scare anyone and their CBs won't cover anyone who's at a decent level. Diggs extracted the urine last night.

I suspect Phillips (like a lot of team sports people) needs to be managed/coached a certain way. And so far, it's only McDermott and Co who know how to do it. I get the impression he needs to feel loved and be given the impression he can be a bit of a free spirit on the field but McD/Frazier get it done under the confines of their system. One man's junk is another man's treasure so to speak. You just need to know how to polish said treasure as well.

Crocodile Dundee II, Mick and Sue are in the Australian outback with Luis Rico and his greasy brother Miguel stalking them. The bad prat brothers give it a good go, they even bring in some help as they don't really know the outback and this leaves them with a huge handicap. Eventually, Mick starts picking Rico's party off one by one. It's not long before the brothers realise they're out of their depth and and Miguel turns to Luis and says "This man can take us any time he wants to". The Rico brothers are the Miami Dolphins. Josh Allen is Mick "Crocodile" Dundee. That's not an arm. Now that's an arm.

So tired this morning. I went down the stay awake until kick off route and then a couple of hours sleep after but it's so hard to nod off when you have the adrenalin from watching this team win run through your veins. Even with the game being a non-event from the latter part of the third quarter. Forty minutes until my dinner (break) and I'm working from home so a power nap is in order. Another all round performance. Loved seeing the STs getting involved. Can anybody help me with something please? What's a "punt"? I think that's what it's called. We did it 3 times last night and it confused me 😆 Roll on the Lolphins and a 6pm kick off.

We had the “stampsy” rule where if your opponent’s conker fell on the floor you could stamp on it for the win. Encouraged a tight grip of the shoe lace but was a brutal way to lose. Stampsy had to be agreed on by both gladiators before the start of the match. There was hell on if stampsy was used when not agreed on and tended to lead to various Chinese burns and wedgies. Decades on I’m safe to say I was one for dipping my conker in vinegar.

Does make you order about last minute vacations being booked in the middle of training camp.

I hate myself for saying this as it’ll mean the Patriots win but I want the Dolphins to lose. It’ll really demoralise their fan base very early on in the season. Even more so if Tua has a nightmare.
