To get comp picks you need to lose more free agents then you sign.., That didn’t happen in the 2019 offseason, and with $80M to spend, JA in the third year of his rookie deal and the SuperBowl window well and truly open for business I don’t see it happening in 2020 either..

A surplus of starting Guards is not necessarily a bad thing... Morse has issues as we know, and if anything happens to him you move Feliciano to C and suddenly no more surplus of Guards.. Let’s see how much Spain costs... at the moment they are paying Long double to be his backup..

I agree with you John...I thought Spain had a solid showing against the Titans.. not sure why he doesn’t seem to get a lot of love here.. I think people assume you can have a superstar at every position..Yes..Let’s see how it plays out through the rest of the year but at the moment I hope they make Spain an offer..

You need to lose more free agents then you sign, and with the amount of cap space the Bills have, I would expect them to be signing a number this offseason... not as many as last year but still more than they lose.. Also think they will make an offer to Spain..

Yes.. Long is more versatile as Spain seems strictly a G.. But as I mentioned.. it seems they prefer Spain to start.. Long was signed early last offseason before free agency started.. the way his contract is structured tells me his future might be a little questionable... However, he hasn’t done anything wrong in his limited playing time this year to date.. Beane has covered all bases and he can ultimately decide to keep Long as depth if Spain leaves..

My point is if they can keep Spain , and they move Ford to G as was suggested in the post I responded to, they could cut Long who has limited guaranteed money after this year.. They obviously prefer Spain as he is starting now.. Of course his cost next year and beyond remains to be seen.. Agree if they lose Spain then keep Long...

I could see them keeping Spain a bit longer.. They have money to spend and he is at worst quality depth if not competing to start.. Totally speculating here but could be resign for 3 years say $12 Mil with $6Mil guaranteed? His market was not strong last year... Long would be ( long) gone in this scenario though..

I actually was under the impression that Motor didn’t miss many ( if any?) games in college.. Yeah.. he did a hamstring ... it happens .., not sure we can read much into that at this stage..

You could say the same about injuries at several positions though.. As has been mentioned, Gore hasn’t been seriously injured in several years... I was also under the impression that Singletary is back the next game... is that still in question?

I think they will be ok at RB this season with Motor back.. Gore has been fine and has been pretty injury free the past 7-8 years.. he is proving age is just a number.. Id probably look to draft another RB on Day 3 at the next draft..

It appears that they thought Foster was going to have that role... Maybe he can still get there after this latest injury..
