  1. So close Seriously I expected a couple more... He was never winning it though this year...
  2. Is 10 attempts over 19 games a big enough sample size? He averaged 3.7 ypc from 17 attempts the year before out of interest
  3. Yep...only takes one to want him... But if I have got a lot of cap space and I look at the list of WR’s available..: do I want JB instead of someone that maybe doesn’t have his injury concerns? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/wide-receiver/
  4. You are aware that there is an expected decrease in Cap space around the League this off season? This is a bad year to be hitting the FA market if he is cut ...
  5. I think he has played pretty well down the stretch I was looking at his Spotrac page the other day.. Firstly I was surprised to see he will be nearly 29 when the next season rolls around... shows that he has spent some time bouncing around practice squads... He is signed next year for what I assume is League minimum -$920k... Given he hasn’t made a lot of money over his career... hope he can continue to play well in 2021 and sign another 2-3 deal with the Bills for some bigger money..
  6. If you can get Williams for the Spotrac valuation than you would do it in a heartbeat... Good Spotrac... I see Spotrac has valued Jon Feliciano 4 years at $33m.. Bad Spotrac.... Moral of the story... take Spotrac market valuations as a loose guide only...
  7. So how would you “ adequately “ replace him? Use pick 30? High price FA?
  8. I think Beane is a bit more conservative then that... You need to make the decisions on Brown, Roberts, McKenzie before the draft.... if Brown is taking a paycut then you will have to guarantee the remaining money for 2021... No guarantees Toney doesn’t get picked around 20... so if you miss him then what? Also ... don’t think they will be depending on a Rookie to be that critical a part
  9. He gets some love here ... but I’m not so sure about him... Bring him back as cheap as they can and for as little a signing bonus as they can manage .. He is more than likely competing for a spot on the team this year as I expect them to draft a G and Ford is back..
  10. Can’t say the Colts fans seem happy at the prospect of bringing in Wentz ... I think it would be good.... for the Bills..they are a damn good team outside of QB
  11. He might take $4-5 mil to stay in Buffalo in 2021 in a cap restricted year that is going to impact the FA market if the alternative is he gets outright cut ... at least with the Bills he could get good receiving numbers ( if heathy) in a pass happy offense to look to sign a new deal ( elsewhere) in 2022... Given his age, and coming off the year he had with low production and injuries , I don’t see anyone trading for him ...
  12. I don’t think you need to be a Rhodes Scholar to say he won’t be back at his current contracted amount... Its certainly possible he is cut, but I think something like a $3m reduction might also be on the table. I can’t see any other team that will offer better than $4-5m in 2021, and at least if he stays healthy he can get some good numbers in the Bills offense to sign a new deal elsewhere in 2022.. I’m sure their medical assessment of him will come into play as well... does he have chronic injuries or can he get back to 2019 John Brown?
  13. Joe B has got a gut feeling about something No inside knowledge or something he heard apparently, just he has looked up Spotrac to find out his cap hit like we all have..
  14. lucky they were able to get from out of it on the cheap then and get at 5th round back in return
  15. Signing bo Signing bonus from the previous year. They saved $16m in 2018 as you can see the Browns paid him in the link I provided which was guaranteed... Yeah they offered him a contract of $5n a year plus incentives... back up money
  16. The cap hit that the Browns acquired from the Bills for Taylor was $16M including a Roster bonus of $6m that was due a week or so after they traded him.. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cleveland-browns/cap/2018/ How Beane moved him for that price and pick 65 I'll never know That left Peterman as their only QB on the roster.. They bought in AJM to compete before the draft with Peterman and the as yet undrafted Rookie ... they were still sitting at 12 at that stage and didnt know who they were going to get.. in hindsight we can say they got their man but Horsehead Elway should have taken Allen at 5 so who knows who the Bills may have ended up with if he goes down that road.. hopefully not trading up for Rosen to beat the Cards or reaching for Mason Rudolph... Not sure Lamar was truly ever on their radar So AJM comes into camp and doesnt live up to expectations so they cut bait and trade him for a 5th to Gruden .. His cap hit to the Bills was $2m in 2018 and $2m in 2019.. I can live with that...
  17. You are a hard marker Weo.. They signed McCarron as an insurance policy after getting rid of Tyrods cap hit which I cant be bothered looking up but was excessive, and before the draft and picking JA ( which was obviously not a given)...
  18. Yeah there is a lot of QB movement and they need someone.. Just dont see them getting one of the best guys in the draft as they are coming from too low...nor can I see a big FA name moving there.... I can see them with Jimmy G, Carr or maybe even Matt Ryan after Atlanta drafts their guy, and whilst they are better than what they had this year, I think the Bills can deal with it...
  19. Not sure him going there moves the needle of them being a threat to the Bills ... They aren’t even on my radar until I see what they do at QB and there aren’t a lot of upgrades available that might end up there in my view...
  20. Zero sacks you say? Will fit in well with us then...
  21. Things could get a bit ruthless if you want to play some hard ball... Do you say to someone like Addison who is due $8M (including workout and Roster bonuses) that we are paying you $4Mil total take it or leave it or good luck playing out your last year with the Jaguars who might pay you $5M?
  22. I'm sure you are aware that the Rams current strategy is a gamble and probably more likely to fail then succeed ( only one team gets to win it all every year and you are compressing your chances of success into a smaller window then doing things the "conventional" way) ... Now, if the Bills copied this approach and it didn't succeed, would you accept that outcome? I know that you arent normally one to bring up previous other occasions when some Management decisions have not gone to plan....
  23. One thing this year has taught me ( in respect to JA) is that you are absolutely nothing without a Top 10 ( Top 5 even? ) QB and you really should be giving up a lot to acquire one or the chance to draft one... Now.. giving up 2 No 1's and change for Ramsay or Adams.. thats a different story in my view...
  24. Well... they don’t have a 4th round ...and I can’t see them waiting until the 5th to roll the dice given the value of the position to the team... If Milano moves on for more money, and they like someone else at 30 who they think they can replace him and can be a cost effective contributor for 4 years then why not take him? Its pick 30, not a top 10 pick
  25. They took a swing at that a few years back... Vosean Joseph I believe the fellas name was... Has been quiet to date though... last seen at Walmart... I would suggest with the value of this position to MCD’s defense that they are going to have to invest an early pick if Milano needs replacing which seems likely
