  1. Thanks, Gunner. Unfortunately, they didn't end up making the right decision on Wyatt Teller... but it had nothing to do with Special Teams lol
  2. Wait what? It shouldn’t be too difficult to find guys like that on the street? It’s actually incredibly difficult to find (productive) talent on the streets… if it was easy… we wouldn’t be having this discussion.
  3. Soooooooo many issues!! (If we ignore guys like John Brown, Cole Beasley, Stefon Diggs and Isaiah McKenzie who all fall under the category of skill position players brought in under the Pro Personnel Department)
  4. I’m not saying he will be as good as them… but he looked kinda like Cooper Kupp/Booby Trees there…
  5. Just because a guy is young, doesn’t mean he’s good. Does it mean there’s a chance they develop into something good or better than a core ST? Yeah, that’s absolutely the case. Unfortunately for young players that weren’t high draft picks/projected starters… they need to play ST or else they’re a waste of a roster spot as a LB6 or WR7. There aren’t enough snaps to go around for guys like that or they’re inactive on game day in favor of a ST guy. The NFL isn’t set up for you to stash young guys… at least not if you want to win. So what’s the recommendation? Keep guys that can’t play ST that will be WR7 or CB6 and will never see the field? That’s a worse investment than a WR7 or CB6 that will never see the field BUT will play a high end ST.
  6. I turned my autographed EJ Manuel jersey I won at a charity auction into a Matt Haack jersey and wore to the game week 17. He sucked. But I wore it proudly to the playoff game the next week to show I still support him… and he was great!!! False! But people did ask if we were related haha
  7. He’s not inhibiting us from keeping an extra OL or DB? They’re likely keeping Knox/Howard/Gilliam as the three “TE” and release Sweeney to open a spot. Not all that different than Knox/Howard/Sweeney but you actually get use out of Gilliam in multiple places. Unless you want to do just Knox/Howard? It’s a similar roster spot allocation to last year.
  8. Well then, I don't really understand your original point?
  9. We don't even know if they used any cap space this year? They tacked two years on... 2023 and 2024.
  10. We don't even know the details... only know it's "up to $5.2M" and people are losing their ***** because they think we handed him $5.2M outright. UP TO $5.2M means it could be a two-year deal at the league minimum ($1.01M in 2023 and $1.125M in 2024) with NLBTE incentives lol.
  11. Pretty sure Houston refused to trade him within the AFC… so no reason to be upset? Overall, Bill O’Brien was a pretty irrational decision maker… hard to deal with a guy like that.
  12. Dude that’s a good one! Money well spent on University of Phoenix’s Online “Introduction to Trolling” course.
  13. Yeah! ***** Dion for being a person and having a life! P.S. You’re a clown
  14. *****. The guy who said Josh Allen was in danger of eating himself out of the league was right...
  15. We did. If you check out the Leonard Fournette thread… there is still risk that Josh eats himself out of the league.
  16. Lamar is now going to have to get more than Kyler. Burrow and Herbert more than Lamar. So on and so forth.
  17. Did this thread really turn into people suggesting that Josh might eat himself out of the league? 😂
  18. Haha come on Badol... you're talking to me about my techniques being "worn out"... should I create a poll and see what people think about your techniques? I was asking for context around what was happening with Eric Wood in 2017, outside of coming off of an injury, that made it clear he wasn't going anywhere else after the season. It wasn't vague context that I was asking for... it was actually pretty clear. "I don't remember 2017 all that well... why was there no reason to extend Wood? What is the rest of the context? I didn't suggest they drafted or developed Eric Wood; I was making the point that they decided to reward a player in the building that fit the culture they were trying to build. Extending him fit the way they wanted to build their team... reward the guys in the building. I didn't present my point very well earlier. Thank you - this is exactly what I was looking for when I asked for context. I agree with your final point. A lot of positive things, and he's made some bad decisions as well, it's healthy to point those things out. I don't think there is a GM in the league with a perfect scorecard and even then, his infractions are far less significant than his peers. The mistakes aren't egregious, and he does tend to correct them.
  19. How is Wood declaring Beane the best GM in the NFL additional context for your argument that Beane signed Wood to a bad extension? Plenty of people feel Beane is the best GM in the NFL… it’s not an absurd comment only justified by Beane giving him an extension 😂 I understand your point and appreciate the clarification. Although, you contradicted yourself by saying there was no reason to sign him to an extension and then your 3rd paragraph provided a completely justifiable reason. You may not like why they did that… but draft, develop and retain has been the model they’ve preached from day one. I don’t see a problem with extending a core guy, which allowed them to back up their claims immediately. Wood was coming off an injury shortened season… but prior to that had played 16 games 3 years straight and hadn’t missed a game since 2012… was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2017 where he started 16 games (and a playoff game). The injury that ended his career was just bad luck and unrelated to any other significant injury in his career (both of which were also bad luck). It’s hard to predict I injuries and if you’re going to ding decision makers for failing to, you’re not being realistic.
  20. I don't remember 2017 all that well... why was there no reason to extend Wood? What is the rest of the context?
  21. They also did a good job of supporting him with some former OC. Mike Shula, Aaron Kromer and Joe Brady… he’ll have people to help him out.
  22. Clutch intangibles? The Dolphins were replacing him late in games with Ryan Fitzpatrick... Then in the most important game of his career, week 17 with a playoff berth on the line, he absolutely ***** the bed along with the rest of the Dolphins.
  23. This is a pretty interesting idea... Continue to expose them to waivers when they come off the 90-man roster, but if they clear waivers and are sent to the practice squad, you retain their rights on your practice squad (or you can decide to outright release). Similar to MLB rules with taking a guy off the 40-man roster.
