I love how you avoided my question… explain to the board which organizations have done it better since 2017… take everything into account. The draft, free agency, player development, winning games and anything else you want to add… It did affect every team, but if you can’t compute the fact that the Bills had planned their signings around the idea that they could be competitive now with the ability to spend in the future and then that was taken away from them by the fact that the cap didn’t increase, that’s on you. If you’re failing to recognize that this front office plans things out in advance and has a legitimate plan, then I’m also sorry. If you wanna talk about milk and cookies, you live in Candyland where every player on the team has to be a Pro Bowler and every free agent signing has to be below market value for things to please you. They’ve objectively built a top 5 roster in the sport and you’re asserting they’re mediocre.

Really nice post… Unfortunately, you are forgetting that people on this board believe Brandon Beane is a failure for not having the foresight to predict a worldwide pandemic that would prevent the salary cap from increasing. He was 21st in cap hit, 11th in cash and 20th in AAV in 2021. He’s 17th in AAV and 12th in cash for 2022. The only place he is in the 5-10 range for WR is his cap hit for 2022… where he is 9th. Any logical person would have reached the conclusion you were referring to cap hit.

This has been a gem. McDermott is scaring coaches away (per a previous thread) and now players too. Tre White, Dion Dawkins, Matt Milano, Taron Johnson and Josh Allen were absolutely petrified to sign their extensions here.

FilthyBeast has to be sick to his stomach that Carr is about to make $40M/year considering he feels that Josh’s contract was a bad contract. This exercise very clearly proves that Josh getting $43M/year was a steal. Although anyone with a brain knew lesser QBs were going to get inflated deals.

Hahaha I love dismissing someone getting a job because of their name. He was hired as an entry level coach and you know nothing about his knowledge of the game. Come on, man.

However, the QCC doesn't really do much coaching at all. They spend all day multitasking, breaking down film up to five weeks in advance and analyzing data. They work all hours, in hotel lobbies, on airplanes and at their team's headquarters producing reports for their Head Coach. They do get to do some coaching though. The QC coaches often run the "Scout" team in practices. From their extensive film work and breaking down plays, the QCC can be a great help preparing their team because they know the tendencies of their opponents. They make sure the Scout teams give the starters an accurate look at what they'll face on Sunday in practice during game weeks.
