  1. A lot of turn over in that Jets secondary and not a lot of prep time, this is a good game to air it out.
  2. Your presumption is that the field sobriety test is infallible. It CAN be subject to an officers predisposed opinion. Concrete evidence, e.g., breathalyzer, is a much better analysis. in this case, the officer made a judgement that he could have been under the influence of substances other than alcohol, Oliver was booked, blood work was done, and Oliver passed. Ergo, the officers assumption was wrong. So what led to the officer assuming Oliver was impaired. That’s the question.
  3. If he was cleared by the blood analysis, then this officers discernment of the field sobriety test was skewed. I won’t speculate on why and go down that road. I have a friend who was arrested for sleeping in his car—he works graves, was tired and pulled into a parking lot—and was arrested on suspicion of opioid use because being overly tired was a system. He too was cleared by blood analysis and charges dropped. He’s also a black man. Some officers are great, some are led tenderly by the nose as asses are by their confirmational bias.
  4. An open beer can is cut and dry, charges aren’t dropped were that the case. Do the breathalyzers work in your opinion? Then what evidence did this officer have for an arrest? His gut instinct? Or was he led by a confirmational bias, racially or otherwise? breathalyzer are known to blow false positives due to mouth wash, I’ve never heard of a false negative—which doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
  5. Not sure why that county can get away with that. According to Ed, he blew 0.0, then the officer said, “yeah, but I still think you’re drunk.” He told the cop it’s late, I’m tired, I just want to go home then the officer said, “nah, you’re coming with us.” Honestly, he seemed very composed given the situation. I understand him being frustrated thinking no one will believe him. That Montgomery County needs to do something about this; sending someone to jail without preponderance of evidence. Believe Ed!
  6. I was mildly concerned of the leadership departure of Lorenzo Alexander, this would alleviate some of that concern.
  7. I had to post in defense of OP, I just started watching and it’s riveting. There’s an apt comparison, these fans breath their club.
  8. This schedule is awesome for me, I live out west and planning on the LV, Ari, and Den games.
  9. Needs to be something you can really tap your toes to, something catchy: TOOL - Lateralus
  10. Julian Blackmon, FS, Utah. I will admit I’m a little biased here, but he is a smart kid, and sees the whole field. He reacts so much quicker than most players.
  11. I think they do. We’ve kind of belabored the point in threads, but there really is going to be a distinct advantage to teams having low turnover going into this season, we have three starters changing in offense and defense ( 4 if you count nickel, and two of those are familiar to McDermott). The Pats can’t say the same.
  12. Go through the sign up as if you’re purchasing a subscription, when it gets to the pay screen, the amount says $0. It doesn’t ask you for a CC# either.
  13. I’ve now watched last season twice in as many days on Gamepass. Just some random thoughts; I’m trying to be a little more incisive in my observations, less obtuse: 1. Gore killed a lot of drives with negative run plays. I’m not even talking 0 yard plays, there were way too many negative runs and those drives generally ended in punts. I love Gore, but glad to love on. 2. Andre Roberts is amazing. The return game was transformed when he returned (pun) in week 4. 3. Josh Allen gives receivers more time after the catch. Because he throws with such zip, receivers have about a half second longer to make a move than they would otherwise. Brown and Beasley made the most of that on many 3rd conversions. 4. I’m excited to see more of TJ Yeldon. He is as sure-handed and savvy a receiving back as I’ve seen. I think he can be a weapon. Reminds me of Ty Montgomery when he was utilized in GB. 5. The pass rush was way too inconsistent, I can see why the DL was so heavily addressed in free agency. We won’t miss Shaq or J Phillips. Also, Harry Phillips looked promising before the injury. 6. I’m worried about not having Lorenzo Alexander, he made so many heady plays. AJ Klein might be a brilliant signing as he is a similar, albeit, younger player.
  14. I agree it’s about making a jump this year due to the shortened offseason. This has been a stark reversal from the strategy of the last two years. Beane has—in the past—placed a premium on draft picks and building through the draft, and has said as much in interviews. if reports of our national return to status quo in July/August are true, that means no rookie OTA’s, no team OTA’s; all rookies and FA’s will get is training camps and preseason.
  15. I loved his fire last year, but with the other Phillips—Harrison—coming back, it would’ve been a lot less playing time.
  16. I bet Beane is working on some additional FA signings and felt comfortable giving away the picks. Don’t sweat the picks until you see who else we sign.
  17. Anyone else find it strange that it’s likely going to be GB vs KC, a rematch of Super Bowl I in the NFL’s 100th season. A little strange is all I’m suggesting.
  18. I hate Edelman more than Brady, this was a confirmation of my bias. His beady eyes are going to court.
  19. The reason everyone is so angry, plaintive, disillusioned, etc, is the same reason this is the best fan base in the league: we love our Bills. We show up at airports, we drive 500 miles to away games, we’re loud, we smash tables, we cheer big and on days like this, we mourn big. I know it’s been an awful two decades, I feel it too. But things are getting better. There was a lot to hate about this game, but also a lot to love about this season. We’ll keep progressing and when the day comes that we’re world champs, it’ll feel all the sweeter. Imagine how these players and coaches are feeling too. I hope we still show up at the airport, and if you can’t do that, send a player a tweet saying thank you.
  20. The hurt will pass. Shut off the TV and sports talk. Forget about the Bills for a while. In two months you’re going to be ready to go for next season. You’ll enjoy free agency and the draft, then the summer speculation. The future is bright. Don’t bail on something you love just because it hurts right now.
  21. A lot of over-reactions here, which I totally get because this was painful. A lot of Allen blaming, but it looked like on a lot of the “bad” throws, receivers weren’t getting open. We need guys that can shake coverage when Allen is moving. Stills and Hopkins do that well for Hou. Offensive line looked bad at times. Remember, this is the first season this whole group has been together. The talent is there, just need more time together. we need a TE that can attack the zone. I hope Knox can be that—like a Shockey type—but we may not know that until next year.
  22. Those two throws by Allen on 3rd down were incredible. BS penalty took us out of a field goal try. Great play by D Watson at the end. Exciting game, great season to build from, hope they come back fired up next season.
  23. I saw that. I noticed him doing similar things in the training camp web series; it really shows his character.
