  1. Just for grins I checked the Yahoo sports app and was able to stream the game.
  2. To those that want pass interference to be 15 yards. That play is why pass interference is spot of the foul.
  3. I am going to guess that the noise level on the field can at times render the radio communications useless.
  4. I did the math. Calculated the caught/drop ratio (number of passes caught for each pass dropped). The Bills come in at 28 with 1 drop for every 14.73 completions. Cleveland comes in 20th with 1 drop for every 17.75 completions. Jets come in 31st with 1 drop for every 13.82 completions. Arizona comes in 26th with 1 drop for every 16 completions. Seattle sits at the top at 56.75 and Jacksonville at the bottom at 10.3.
  5. The angle of the video is consistent with a ceiling mount camera but the pan, tilt, and zoom following the action isn't. For a cell phone somebody would have had to hold the phone above their head which would make it more difficult to follow the action much less zoom in. (I suppose they could be standing on a chair but that seems unlikely.) I am going to guess that TMZ exercised some editorial creativity with the video.
  6. The 67% is kind of meaningless. The red zone is arbitrary. Take for example the Chicago Bears. They have a rate of 68.4% which is worse than the Bills yet they are given up 2.1 TD's/ game to the Bills 2.4 TD's /game. The Houston Texans have an even worse rate of 73.9% and are giving up the same number of TD's as the Bears, 2.1 TD's/ game. At the other extreme is the Raiders with a 51.4% rate while giving up 3.33 TD's /game.
  7. Went through all the games and made a list of where the special teams or offense put the defense in a not so advantageous position. Drive start is where the Bills gave up the ball to the other team. Opponent Drive Start Yards Gained Result Baltimore Bills 20 -3 FG Baltimore Bills 29 8 FG Baltimore Bills 14 24 TD Baltimore Bills 1 1 TD Chargers Bills 38 38 TD Chargers Bills 16 11 FG Titans Bills 25 18 FG Texans Bills 29 39 TD Texans Bills 21 7 FG Colts Bills 32 14 FG Colts Bills 2 2 TD Colts Bills 20 20 TD Patriots Bills 29 22 FG Bears Bills 37 42 TD Bears Bills 23 23 TD Bears Bills 28 1 FG There are 8 FG all of which it can be reasonably argued were already in FG range when the defense went back on the field. Of the 8 TD's four of those drives started in the red zone. Two of the TD's were with a starting field position of the 1 and 2 yard line. These drives account for 80 of the 251 points scored against the Bills. Add in the pick 6's (3) and the fumble returned for a TD for a total of 28 points given up by the offense brings it to 108 points. I find it hard to put a lot of blame on the defense for this seasons less than spectacular performance.
  8. Well it was 28 but don't you mean it included the turnover TD's?
  9. Age related reaction time will be his ultimate demise. No amount of kale slurpees can prevent this.
  10. Must be they only considered coaches with a minimum of a 1,000 claps while on the sideline.
  11. The #19 in points allowed includes the 28 points the offense gave away (3 pick 6's and a fumble). Removing all the TD's and safeties given up by the offense and special teams for all the teams moves the Bills defensive unit rank to #12 on points allowed.
  12. The first TD drive the Bears started at the Bills 37 yard line. The second was off a fumble by Croom returned for a TD. The 3rd TD was a Peterman pick 6 special. The fourth TD was also on a short field starting at the Bills 23 yard line. Half the points happened while the defense sat on the sideline watching.
  13. The average points per game given up for the Bills team is 25.1 putting them at #19. The average points per game given up by the Bills defence is 22.1 putting them at # 12. The discussion was/is about the Bills defense.
  14. The #25 is based on some teams having played one less game. Both stats include pick 6's, fumbles returned for TD's, kicks returned for TD's, and safety's. Removing the TD's and safety's scored when the defensive unit was not on the field the Bills are a respectable 12th in points allowed.
  15. On points given up per game given up Miami is 12th (25.6) , Jets 13th (25.4), and the Bills are 14th (25.1).
  16. Players pay taxes for the states they play in. A Bills player only pays NYS taxes for 8 games. California has the highest income tax rate which doesn't seem to been a problem for the Rams or Chargers.
  17. Banking Turn Benjamin because that is the way he runs his routes.
  18. If they are pics of Mrs. Barkley what's not to like?
  19. Only second. Cleveland's punter Britton Colquitt has 39 to Corey Bojorquez 31 which is why I used percentage of punts rather then total. Colquitt, btw, put 43% of his punts inside the 20. Seattle's Michael Dickson has 29 punts which 34% were placed inside the 20.
  20. 1. So hang time doesn't account for the fact that a kicking to place the ball inside the 20 (which is usually a shorter punt) would have less hang time by necessity. Seems to me that punters that are at the top of list for placing the ball inside the 20 are unfairly penalized by the generic hang time stat. 2. "The anecdotal evidence would point to a weak correlation"? Based on one data point. I don't think so. Is that all you have, the hang time for Bojorquez? If that is it then the hang time is a big nothing burger.
  21. You failed to answer the questions and failed to address I was using percentage. 1. Does the hang time account for the fact that 48% of Bojorquez's punts are inside the 20? Note: It is the percentage of punts inside the 20. For example Kevin Huber (Cin) has 16 punts, 8 of which were inside the 20 or 50% of his punts were inside the 20. 2. Do you not think that when kicking to place the ball inside the 20 that hang time might be a bit lower than a punt from you own 20?
  22. Does the hang time account for the fact that 48% of Bojorquez's punts are inside the 20? Do you not think that when kicking to place the ball inside the 20 that hang time might be a bit lower than a punt from you own 20? Bojorquez is 9th in percentage of punts inside the 20 (he is less than 0.2% off the 6th best for percentage of punts inside the 20).
