Keeping in mind I'm very high on him relative to most of the class, but as for the arguments that can be used against him: He shows impressive contested catch ability for his size, but he's struggled pretty badly (relatively speaking) with making the easy ones. Of the 28 WRs I've been keeping tabs on for the draft, Reagor was 26th in drop % this past season. He shows flashes of running great routes, especially with double moves, but it's not consistent yet. He doesn't consistently track the deep ball well; for example someone posted a circus catch in this thread, but it was turned into a circus catch because he was so slow to realize that it was an errant throw. That play was pretty reminiscent of the potential game-winner that Zay screwed up for us where he was too slow to realize Tyrod's throw was leading him towards the corner and as a result he failed to get there and make the catch. A guy like Ruggs or Jeudy is probably able to adjust to that throw and walk in for a touchdown instead of having to lay out and make a circus catch like Reagor did. Reagor also only has one year of good production, though that's largely because his QB play was so horrendous; for example, his QB was on-target on 30% of his attempts to Reagor this season. Josh Allen is below-average in terms of on-target throws and he's around 70% lol. And lastly (and least important to me personally), a lot of Bills fans want a big WR and he's not even 5'11".

He's my WR4 behind the main 3 and is probably the guy I'm realistically hoping for at #22 at the moment. He offers a blend of deep threat, YAC, and contested catch ability that you generally don't see a lot of. I wouldn't necessarily be in favor of drafting all of these guys at #22, but my list from WR4-8 is (at the moment): Reagor, Aiyuk, LSU Jefferson, Higgins. I think those 4 are worthy of consideration, though I might take a different position ahead of some of them.

LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire formally meets with Bills
DCOrange replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We just need a good runner to complement Singletary IMO. We can find a more unique skillset (ala a power back or a receiving back) in free agency. And CEH would give us the receiving back we need in addition to being a good runner. -
LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire formally meets with Bills

Would absolutely love to pick him up in the 3rd if possible. Has he said if he's going to run at the Combine? I don't expect him to run very well. -
Doesn't really change the point of your post, but he wasn't invited to the Senior Bowl. It was the East-West Shrine Game that he skipped, so that he could focus on the Combine, which he's now skipping the athletic testing for because he "is still learning the techniques for the athletic tests".

This would be a dream come true, but I think he's ultimately closer to a top 10 pick than being available at 22. -
Safety Kyle Drugger With Bills First Round Pick?
DCOrange replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Been saying I think safety/linebacker could end up being the pick in the first round...Dugger makes sense to me. WR depth = we can wait on that. If the linemen we want are off the board, I would think a DB is next on the list and a safety in particular makes a lot of sense to me with Poyer & Hyde being up soon. -

It's seriously pretty incredible. Being a nitpicker, I do still wish we had just taken the unique physical specimen that DK offered last year, especially considering how far he slid. He would have been a natural fit for what I think we should be looking for this offseason. But man, this draft class is so ridiculously loaded. I will be beyond upset if we don't take multiple WRs this year; it would be criminal. I think we might end up putting ourselves in a position where we want to trade up in the 2nd round to get our guy, but hopefully that will not stop us from taking another WR on Day 3. We'll see how things shake out after the combine and pro days...after watching more film, Denzel Mims and Bryan Edwards are the Day 3 guys I've circled so far, but I kinda think Mims will be a riser in the draft process (or at least that he'll be talked about as a riser). Super raw skillset, but he has size, athleticism, and hands. If you're interested in seeing more of these WRs, I can't recommend this YouTube channel enough: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtBCRt-5IbP1uggiqCdUvdQ He's uploading All-22 film of every target/rush attempt these WRs get; obviously that still leaves off the plays where they aren't targeted/don't get open, but still helps a lot in showing what they're capable of. Also, PFF released the first stage of their massive draft guide and I'm working on filtering some of the data into sub-groups (pure wideouts, pure slots, and versatile guys) so that we can compare a bit better. I'll probably try to add measureables from the Combine as we get them too. For the guys that have been watching a lot of film, I'd definitely be curious to hear if you disagree with the categories I put some of these guys into; I haven't watched film on all of them so I've been categorizing some just based on what I've heard or limited film. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14UTjsBXviD6E8eRRoyqFq2VsAJYz7AuHLt7z5DpzHhM/edit?usp=sharing

I’m still skeptical of Shenault’s skill set personally. Also don’t think he really fills the hole in our starting lineup, at least not right away. He becomes a lot more interesting to me if we get someone like AJ or Jeffery in addition because then we can use Shenault in his best spots instead of trying to force him to be something he’s not. He’s an absolute load to try to tackle though once you get the ball in his hands. Ultimately though I think Reagor and Aiyuk can do the same things as Shenault but better.

PFF’s player comp for Shenault is Saquon

Who is the biggest Fool’s Gold FA this year?
DCOrange replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hooper, Perriman, Bridgewater, Rivers, Derrick Henry. Could make an argument for most of the big names honestly. -
He was quoted in an article on The Athletic when asked about Buffalo saying something along the lines of "At the end of the day, no matter where I go I'm going to be paid a ton of money. I like living in the South, so if I'm getting a ton of money anyways, why would I take a few million more a year to play up North?"

Would love to have someone like Amari, but he's pretty much already said he's not interested in playing for Buffalo even if they offer more money than everyone else.

Do we really need a power back?
DCOrange replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My general opinion (can't remember if I already posted this in this thread or not): I don't really care what mold a rookie RB is; we simply need to add another talented RB to the group, with the emphasis being on them being a talented runner. Allen is our short yardage back IMO and Singletary is strong enough and elusive in tight spaces to run between the tackles effectively. A receiving/3rd down back can be found amongst the veteran ranks if the rookie isn't a natural fit for that role. Guys like Chris Thompson and Buck Allen are free agents now. Dion Lewis might join them soon. And guys of that mold are often found on the scrap heap in free agency. Would love for our rookie to be versatile enough to handle it but it's not a must to me. -
Recommend following Brad Kelly both on Twitter and YouTube; especially YouTube. He's posting videos of every target/rush attempt for WRs like this: The All-22 angle really helps in terms of being able to see how these guys separate before the ball enters the picture. With this video in particular, Mims seems like kind of a fish out of water in terms of his route running but he shows off his size, athleticism, and hands in this one.

I was going to ask about this too because I thought I remembered the same. Still a pretty big WR but that was a pretty big difference in the measurements. Seemed like Reagor measured significantly heavier than expected as well.
-
I don't think this is true at all. There's like 6 potential 1st round QBs this year (I would guess that 4 ultimately get taken in the 1st). But regardless, Fromm was already critiqued pretty harshly all year since he's been around for awhile now and the Georgia system wasn't going to do him any favors to be worth sticking around for.
-
For those that are interested: Minnesota media reporting that Tyler Johnson likely will not do athletic testing at the Combine. Plans to wait until Pro Day for it.
-
I probably agree but whether or not you can sign AJ for a year is very debatable. I’ve seen some projecting like 4/$70 mil for him which I would definitely not be interested in (unless it’s basically a 2 year with two team options). I’d be ecstatic to get Diggs as well though. Don’t really think Diggs gets moved at the end of the day. The guy I’m keeping an eye on is Brandin Cooks. Would likely cost less given his injury issues. Not sure if it’ll make cap sense for the Rams until we have a new CBA though.
-
I will never be mad at taking an OL prospect (assuming it’s not a gigantic reach like a guy projected in the 7th), so I’d be fine with Ruiz. I think we’re at the point where we will be tempted to go in a lot of different directions that the media doesn’t necessary see coming. There will certainly be talented WRs like a Shenault, Jefferson, Aiyuk, Reagor, etc. available at our pick and maybe some worthwhile Edge prospects, but given the depth at WR and the potential that the Edge guys are gone, a more long-term need or secondary need like CB, OL, or safety wouldn’t surprise me. Could even justify a LB depending on how negotiations with Milano are going.
-
Yes that’s the one!
-
The other interesting guys imo would be Anthony Gordon, Jalen Hurts, and there’s a small school guy who’s name is slipping my mind right now.
-
This is the correct answer if you want to knock out the top guys. Those 6 are all in the first round discussion. I’m personally just missing Eason at this point for my own scouting.
