  1. He's got a chance at sneaking into the 4.4's which is very good considering he's also 6'2"-6'3". He's a really good athlete like his brother was. Not sure he's worth a 1st round pick, but as a Cuse alum, it's nice to have multiple players with a good chance of being drafted this year. I don't think he's a Year 1 impact guy but I think he's a pretty good fit in our scheme. He flashes pretty much all of the skills that we look for in our corners and I think he could be converted to a safety if it doesn't work out at corner too. Kind of weird that Syracuse has three draftable DBs this year despite the team as a whole being horrendous. The defense was definitely betrayed by arguably the worst offense in the country, but the defense wasn't great either.
  2. Ah, concussion issues is definitely not great haha.
  3. The contract really isn't bad if you believe he's the guy that he was up until this past season, which the Colts obviously do. I'm sure the Colts are looking at it and saying they're getting a good QB at below-market rate. I agree a 1st and 3rd for Wentz is a pretty good return. At the same time, factoring in the cap penalties, Philly essentially paid $34 million for a 1st and 3rd round pick. Is that a reasonable price? I would say, financially, no. But I get that if they hit on what will likely be a late 1st round pick, it might be worth it in the long run.
  4. It's an interesting trade. Not sure why people think a 1st/2nd and 3rd is a small return for Wentz after the year he had this year. Seems like it's actually kind of a lot. If this past season proves to be an outlier and Wentz can return to his normal caliber of play with a significantly better supporting cast around him, Wentz might prove to be an upgrade from Rivers. If last year's level of play is his new norm, then it's a significant downgrade. This Colts team with the Wentz of old would be very scary, especially if they continue to upgrade their receiving corps.
  5. I haven't dove nearly as into the draft this year as usual, but I will say the clips floating around of Jaelan Phillips the past couple days have me swooning a bit for him as a pass rush prospect. Still hoping we address the line in free agency first so that we aren't leaning on a raw rookie, but he seems to have some serious gifts.
  6. Gotcha. I cannot imagine any way that Chicago agrees with you there lol.
  7. Why don't you think they would? I understand the reasons it might not work out, but they can't really roll it back with Foles/Trubisky IMO.
  8. He SHOULD be a franchise tag candidate for them so that they can see if the flashes he showed at the end of this season are real or just a flash in the pan.
  9. Sure but Licht had already done a fantastic job of building up that roster before this season anyways.
  10. I would also submit this gem:
  11. To be fair, Tampa also had better WRs than Buffalo (though no doubt Buffalo's are very very good), 3 tight ends that are better than our best, a better OLine, and better RBs lol. Edit: This isn't an endorsement of acquiring Ertz.
  12. I think I wanted Uche, Fulton, or Ashtyn Davis at our spot last year. I preferred Moss over Dobbins anyways.
  13. I don't know what he's waiting for to be honest. He should have been signed weeks ago IMO. Starting to question if we have the right GM.
  14. Alright so we have roughly an 8% shot at this!
  15. Sorry, meant Grossi. I believe he’s an old Browns reporter
  16. Rules don't allow us to wear a red helmet some games and white helmet the others. The white helmets are better so therefore, this is a no from me unfortunately. I badly want them to allow different colored helmets again though; there are a lot of great throwbacks that teams can't wear anymore.
  17. Tony Rossi reporting that JJ Watt is NOT interested in Pittsburgh, so that's hopefully one less team to worry about here.
  18. In all likelihood, worse players are going to get more money than that this offseason.
  19. I think Pittsburgh is currently expected to let Dupree walk. They have a cap mess of their own to sort out before they can entertain signing JJ though and they don't really need him either. Still, they immediately jumped to my mind as a potential suitor for him too along with Tampa, Green Bay, and us.
  20. I doubt the Wilson stuff has any impact at all, mainly because I doubt anyone actually thinks Wilson is available. They'll call Seattle to check just to make sure, but it's not gonna happen IMO. Not entirely sure Wentz fetches more in a trade than Darnold; I think it'll likely be pretty similar either way. Supposedly Chicago has already put a 1st on the table for Wentz. We'll have to wait and see what happens with Darnold. Personally, if I were the Jets, I'd probably keep Darnold. Aside from cap reasons, I'm not sure any of the rookies in this draft outside of Lawrence would actually be an upgrade over Darnold and I think given how far the Jets are from being a good team, I'd rather not sink another pick into a QB yet. Better to build the team up and evaluate Darnold with actual football talent around him and then if he isn't good enough, add the rookie QB at the end of the rebuild so that you have 5 years to take advantage of their rookie contract rather than only being competitive for 2-3.
  21. They do have a bunch of very good players that they need to sign this offseason but they should have enough space to bring them all back if they want to. I’ll be surprised if they let him out the door but you never really know.
  22. Feel like Buscaglia mentioned Correa as a trade candidate for the Bills at the deadline this past year.
  23. No I definitely think it would require a 1st or 2nd round selection for those guys. I personally wouldn't hesitate to take them but I get that it's not at the top of the list of needs either. I do think a player that can do gadgety-stuff while also being a good WR in their own right is an underrated need though. I assume John Brown is gone this offseason and Davis slots in to his spot, but Beasley is old and will probably need to be replaced within a couple years at best and I think we'd be able to get someone like Toney or Moore on the field a lot even if they're technically the #4 WR on the team.
