He is excellent on the zone game stuff, but I do hope they integrate a little more of the gap scheme stuff. We do a little bit with Josh running and it is really good. That stuff hurts teams like us with smaller, faster defenses. And Harris looks like he is shot out of a cannon on those power plays.

Because their OL grades are BS. It’s the most difficult position to grade and analyze. Some of the stuff they do is great. They miss the mark on OL imo.

Jeremiah has Quentin Johnston falling to us somehow

I mentioned him in January! Great minds? Something like that? 😝 -

YeahI agree, something around that. I think if he stayed healthy and his play was consistent, he was probably in line for something like McGovern got. So he has to rebuild his value. At the end of the day, I’m guessing he winds up back with LA -

He’s already proven to be better than Bates, he doesn’t have the RAS athletic upside, and I am a Bates fan, Edwards is better imo. If brought in, he’s legit competition, at the same time, the injury questions maybe make him cheap. -
Bills fans just like to complain. He had a modest contract to come here, instead if thinking positive, automatically there must be something wrong with the guy. Nobody wanted him. They use PFF and Spotrac data when it backs their points and ignore it when it doesn’t. I guess we will never know the truth, but fans complain that Josh doesnt’t atteact guys the way some other QBs do, he attracts a guy who is better than what we had and making half, and there must be something wrong with the guy. Its silly. This is an amazing signing.

I would just say he had been healthy his whole career until the concussion issues last year. He was in the protocol twice until they shut him down for the season. So it is definitely concerning. The Rams Tua’d him. Other than that though, he’s been healthy. -
This is a guy coming to be a part of an explosive offense and taking less to do so, to reset his market next year. This is the Josh Allen affect. When people complain that these signings don’t happen, well here it is. It’s amazing and the price he signed for is shocking really.

Edwards was good under Kromer, then kind of regresses a bit and got the concussion. But he was on is way to becoming one of the better guards in the league. People want competition for the interior guys, to me this is legit competition if it happens. Just turned 26.- 127 replies

I thought the same thing.

Just a total lack awareness. I wish him luck, i’m glad he’s gone.

Q was okay. Veteran depth that you need to have around. I’m sure they will contine to add depth. This will probably turn into a “why aren’t we replacing Brown” thread. Then inevitably Creed Humphrey will get involved.
-
I don’t think they take him in the first, but he won’t get by them in the second. They are going to take Joey Porter imo, if he’s there.

I’m deep diving here Interesting under the radar edge guy, small school guy Oshane Ximines. Rookie year plays some DE, has 4.5 sacks as a rookie, second year he tears his rotator cuff and has surgery, it takes him awhile to get back. By then Pat Shurmur is fired, Joe Judge comes in. He get kind of lost in the shuffle. Daboll comes in and he moves to OLB and has 2 sacks. Became a rotational piece. I feel like he has been a bit of a victim of circumstance, I’d love to see what he can do as a rotational DE to complement the rest of the guys we have, a younger Shaq replacement with upside. He is a free agent and it doesn’t look like he is getting much of a look. The Bills had him in for a private workout visit during the 2019 draft year. Excellent first step, violent hands, and great bend, natural pass rush traits.

Isaac Seumalo, G, **Update - Signed by Steelers
MrEpsYtown replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
People have to get over the Creed Humphrey thing. Seriously. The Bills had Morse signed to a long term contract and obviously like him because he was still here. Humphrey was a flawed prospect coming out and that’s why he was a second round pick and the third center chosen, bad body, short arms, some sloppy things in his game. The Chiefs probably won’t even sign him when he becomes a free agent. Get over it. The Chiefs have done a nice job of drafting, but they have just as many misses as most other teams. And the Steelers? They are stacking guards for some reason and still don’t have a left tackle. -
Oh man that run vs the Jets. Wow.
-
Yeah I think Sanders makes a lot more sense for a 3-4 team...he would fit awesome in Wink Martindale's defense because he can do so many things. I don't love him as a tampa 2 mike.
-
I agree with this. I am not sure what to make of him. I feel a lot more confident in Campbell and Simpson, but I do think Sanders can be really good eventually. Is he coming in and wearing the green dot? No way. Campbell yes. Simpson maybe.

So thinking ahead, how many guys are dressed on Sundays last year? If Sherfield is indeed the new Kumerow, he will be active.
-
This is the kind of functional depth you want to have imo. No problem with this.
