  1. Well now…change Hawes to a wide receiver…I kind of like that idea…..if we are gonna block with the WR’s make it really good blocking! Anderson checks in as eligible, add TE Knox , FB Gilliam and WR Hawes. And pound the ball with RB Cook. As a change up send Knox, Hawes, Gilliam and Cook out for passes.
  2. I was visiting out of town, went to a sports bar, realizing I left my lucky Allen jersey at home. wife sends me a pic - with caption “ I got you” she is at home , wearing my jersey! and it worked!
  3. Flash of thought: Hawes to LT ?
  4. Several years ago, I spent some time in Maryland for work. It was during football season. Up until then, I didn’t realize the hated rivalry between those teams. 👿😠….It will be a hard fought game.
  5. Yes! Pump Fake the screen, and then hit his “blocking” WR who releases…
  6. Maybe as assistant head coach / run game coordinator ?
  7. Noting the bold above; I have heard several pundits describe the Bills passing game as simple. Lots of “mesh” crossing / rubs. So I agree more creative is needed including ways getting our RBs into the passing game (and I don’t mean those quick passes behind the line of scrimmage to the edge). It is worth noting that on the TD to Coleman, Knox was wide open due to Ty Johnson’s rub that worked beautifully.
  8. I will pile on to this thought. I think Kromer is excellent! An unsung hero if you will. A strength of this Bills team is the OLine, and they are not a bunch of 1st round picks he is working with. I hope his voice influences Brady even more in the future game planning.
  9. I think he is a non factor again today…gets in for a handful of reps. Just don’t trust he’ll do anything. Hope I am wrong and he comes out with a fire lit under his butt 🔥
  10. Go Bills! we’ve still got Bosa, Rousseau, Thompson, Milano, Hairston, Hancock MVP Allen, Cook, Shakir, Knox, Hawes, Gilliam, Edward’s, McGovern, Torrence… - good set of players to step up and stomp the squealers. yes a half dozen backups will be playing, but they are good enough to be pro football players - now a chance to shine. and the new WR to add a wrinkle. looking forward to seeing them come together as a team greater than the sum of the parts - what McDermott is supposed to be the guru at. and Babich, Brady and Tabor - it is now crunch time - show creativity and out coach your opponent! GO BILLS!
  11. Was watching the Bears game, some interesting tidbits: 1. Nice Bears Touchdown with extra linemen, and TE sneaks out. Hope Brady was watching. 2. Announcers were quoting Bears talking about change in “culture” , vets saying that it was the toughest training camp they were in. Creating toughness and accountability….seems to be lacking on the Bills soft cumbaya approach.
  12. Collins DL tips the extra point pass. He was one of my draft crushes for the Bills…😩
  13. Joey Bosa is playing hurt. It is his left hand/ wrist. That is why he looks so bad. Playing on the left side he won’t tackle with his left (outside) arm. Matt Milano is still not right. So he too looks bad. He is not extending his arms. Fear of another pec injury? Also he has slowed down, not flying all over the field anymore. the middle of the D line was getting pushed around too. Lots of double double teams when we only rushed 4. Poyer and Tre are smart seasoned vets, but age has caught up they are slow.
  14. I love his previews. A really good football mind.
  15. Nice to see some kudos to Gilliam. the last couple years I thought it was kind of a waste of a roster spot. This year I noticed him making plays on ST and more importantly making some key blocks in the running game to spring Cook. Maybe he has been solid all along? but I never noticed…
  16. Great write up ! Thanks for doing these The absence of presnap penalties was nice to see. the OL played great. One play in particular , saw Brown maul Chris Jones. That was great to see. the DL played great. Loved seeing pressure on the QB. Even though some of the blitzes lead to completions, still took away some deep balls.
  17. Agree with the bold above. And the Bills often start vanilla and end up here.
  18. Some interesting opinions on the Game: Bowen: Key matchup to watch Chiefs coach Andy Reid vs. the Bills' foundational coverages Walder mentioned the Bills' strength at defending the middle of the field, but another wrinkle to consider is their reliance on zone coverage. Buffalo runs zone on 69.5% of opponent dropbacks (eighth most in the NFL), so Reid can work to scheme throws for quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Think leveled routes here, with vertical clear-out routes to lift the safeties and open the coverage voids for intermediate targets. A specific player to watch? Travis Kelce, who just had a season-high 99 receiving yards against the Commanders. I think he will be a major part of the matchup. Maldonado: My favorite bet for Week 9 UNDER 52.5 points in Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills Buffalo is not built like the old version that lived on chunk plays. The Bills are run-focused, averaging a league-high 164.4 rushing yards per game, and are willing to take what is given to them. Meanwhile, Kansas City dictates pace, uses the run and leans on possession and patience. The Bills' injuries on the interior defensive line (defensive tackle Ed Oliver is out indefinitely with a torn biceps) could matter, but that does not automatically turn this into a shootout. Instead, this matchup could turn into a ball control script, as both teams are within the top three leaguewide in time of possession. This one will be tight, physical and decided by execution -- not explosive plays. i sure hope Kelce does not go off on us. and I would like a tight ball control game where Cook is our hero!
  19. The “digital” measurement for first down measurement - versus bringing out the chains - is the dumbest/ worthles use of “technology”
  20. The Commanders went no huddle last night. Put pressure on Spag’s D, in they could not substitute much. Something different…
  21. The Bills added 5 new coaches: Chris Tabor (special teams coordinator) Ryan Nielsen (senior defensive assistant) Mike Pellegrino (nickels coach) Jason Rebrovich (assistant defensive line) Turner West (assistant special teams) Will Greenberg head strength and conditioning coach Barry Rubin senior strength and conditioning assistant At this point in the season, I don’t think there is any improvement on special teams, defense or S&C. Not heard any kudos from McDermott or Babbich that there was any big contributions. too bad, thought we might see some improvements from new blood.
  22. It is just so blatant! And not one of the refs throw a flag?
