  1. I hear that... I see Legette as a cross between Deebo and Aj Brown. And like them think he will go in early to mid round 2. So you have to either take him a bit too early at 28, or trade up in round 2. I think Worthy could go as the 4th or 5th and push Mitchell down to us. Or within a small trade up. But if all the 1st round grade wr's are gone and Beane couldn't trade up, then he has to go BPA (hopefully at a premium position of need: DE, CB) or trade down into early 2... And if neither of those are available, I think that's when you look to take a wr like Legette at 28.
  2. There are some similarities to Gabe and Legette in terms of size. But there are a few key differences that would make Legette an upgrade. One is that Legette's top speed measured on the field last year was faster than anyone in the NFL during the season. The man exceeded 22 mph. Legette also excels in a number of short routes that Davis doesn't. He's very good on bubble screens, drags and quick slants. Those are some bread and butter plays that allowed him to be one of the best receivers beating man coverage last year. Also, his 73% catch percentage last year is better than any year Davis has had... So his long speed is much better than Davis, he produces very well in the short underneath game to beat man, and he catch the ball more consistently.
  3. The last time there was a wr class this deep the 6th wr taken was Brandon Aiyuk and the 7th was Tee Higgins. But the "5th" best wr was taken where the Bills would have picked, and that was Justin Jefferson.
  4. A guy I'm high on as a sleeper is Mohamed Kamara from CSU. He's about the same build as Jerry Hughes, but significantly faster and more athletic. Kamara had 22 sacks and 33 TFL over the last two seasons as well.
  5. When teams doubled Diggs it was often out of a two high look with the Safety to Diggs side of the field. Kincaid and Shakir working deep over the middle of the field will do more to get Diggs one vs one than a wr on the opposite side of the field... I have high hopes for drafting a wr early that can turn into a future 1a receiver. I think we have a future 1b right now in Kincaid, and I hopeful he can close to that potential this year or next.
  6. Realistically the #2 receiver in terms of production will be Kincaid. It would be great if the rookie is #3. But that could very well be Shakir. Then there's Cook and Knox. So that's a top 6 pass catchers being Diggs, Kincaid, Shakir, Rookie 1, Cook, Knox. Kincaid should have close to 100 catches and 1000 yards this year... Imo, they need to find a way to get Kincaid, Diggs and Shakir on the field at the same time frequently. And that might mean a focus on tight formations.
  7. If he replaces Neal at gunner than there's a good chance we can go back to carrying 6 wr's as well. So it's: 1. Diggs 2. Draft (1st or 2nd round) 3. Shakir 4. Draft (please) 5. Hollins vs. Shorter 6. ???
  8. He did have one season a while ago where he did look good. But I think as Bills fans we need to stop tying ourselves in knots of wishful thinking. I'm assuming he's a good blocker, so yeah he's replacing Sherfield. But Sherfield was in the game way too often in key passing downs. Hopefully Hollins can be a 20 reception guy while not having to be that outside receiver running a crucial route on 3rd and 15 late in the game.
  9. That's true, but it's more of a numbers game for the Chiefs. What I mean by that is that they have way more total number of receivers contributing to the passing offense. Last year their #2 wr in receptions was Justin Watson with 27. He had 2 TE's, a RB and another wr ahead of him. Which makes him #5 in receptions. And then they have 7 guys below him catch between 10-25 passes each, and another 6 that caught passes... Those bottom of the roster pass catchers produced nearly 150 receptions and 1500 yards with 9 TD's on last year. Whereas the bottom roster guys including Knox caught 77 passes for 644 yards and 6 TD's... I like this signing if he's wr 6 and we draft a #2 outside and a multi-functional slot / outside receiver to backup Shakir.
  10. Or Donovan People's Court Jones.
  11. I love how they're messing with the media after reporters spent a whole year conjuring stories based on interpretations of Diggs tweets.
  12. I do think Connor McGovern is a better pass blocker than Mitch Morse.
  13. They get to find out while lowering his cap hit.
  14. I've been excited about Mitchell for awhile now. I see a comparison to Cee Dee Lamb and Justin Jefferson in the way he sets up his routes and accelerates out of his breaks. But I'm also back on the Legette train. He definitely needs to work on his route running, but I think a major strength that would instantly upgrade the Bills offense is his ability to beat man coverage quickly with his size and speed. Rattler had a 150+ QBR targeting Legette in man coverage last year, and he's a demon on quick slants and crossing routes. Between that and having the speed and athleticism to be a serious vertical threat, I think he'd be a significant upgrade to Davis.
  15. I don't think we can afford Dillion, but he is the exact type of #2 back the Bills need. A power runner who is a good receiver and very good pass blocker.
  16. Makes since, if it's not a wr at 28 it has to be a premium position of need who also happens to be BPA.
  17. That's why drafting a 3T to backup Oliver doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be relegated to 20-30% of snaps. If he's the 2nd best interior pass rusher he's going to lining up next to big Ed is passing situations. With that said, a true 1T to backup (hopefully) DeQuan Jones would be nice to have as well.
  18. I thought you were referring to his total production... I also wonder if the amount of routes run is off for him, because as a team Texas threw fewer passes than you have him down for routes run?
  19. I think because he missed a ton of games. But he also had tons of clutch TD's in big games, including the national championship winner.
  20. Beane would have to include himself in the deal, Beane for Poles, for it to make any sense.
  21. I mean, how long until we see this?
  22. Imagine finding two late round safeties coming out of their first contract this year who only received moderate starting time over the last few seasons, and turning them both into all-pros? It's still pretty remarkable what Poyer and Hyde became for the Bills. Let's find two more!
  23. I often wonder what would have happened if we had selected TJ Watt over Tre White, and Cooper Cupp instead of Zay Flowers, and DK Metcalf instead of Cody Ford.... You should see my drought years "Hindsight is 20/20" redraft. The Bills would have won 12 out of 17 Super Bowls! I'm also able to turn $50 into $5 Trillion in just about 50 stock trades, ya know, retroactively.
