  1. What if Beane gets a #1 cb?
  2. Yeah but what percentage of Samuels targets are contested? Cause he's average catch percentage is actually slightly higher than Diggs'. He's not a jump ball player. He's a separator that specializes in beating man coverage and getting YAC... Also, he's not replacing Davis, imo. He's replacing Harty. Davis' replacement will come in Rd 1 or 2.
  3. This is Beane giving Allen more options to beat man coverage. Huge upgrade from Deonte Harty.
  4. Yeah, no. Davis posted 56%, 52% and 56% his last three seasons. Curtis Samuel caught 79%, 69% and 68% over his last three full seasons. That's not a "few points".
  5. 1. Diggs 2. Kincaid 3. Rookie X 4. Curtis Samuel 5. Shakir 6. Cook 7. Knox 8. Hollins 9. Hammler? 2nd rookie? Those options to throw too look a lot more impactful than the four you mentioned.
  6. His game is more like Deebo Samuels, actually. He kind of turns into a running back when he catches the ball.
  7. It's a solid #3 contract. High end #2's are making twice as much.
  8. And Kincaid, who is realistically going to be the #2 target.
  9. But he's not going to be the #2. He'll have #3 or #4 level production.
  10. The salary cap is not real after all!
  11. Pretty damn good as Buck Cleven in Masters of the Air.
  12. Except for the one season where he had 100 touches. He produced over 600 yards from scrimmage and 4 TD's... He's good enough to catch the ball out of the backfield on important plays in important games.
  13. The board may melt down if Beane takes, oh I don't know, what he believes is a true #1 lock down cb at 28 if his round 1 receivers are all gone. And if he does, it's because there's so much talent beyond the top 8-10 receivers.
  14. Legette is 6' 1" with a 40" vertical. He's a textbook definition of "plays bigger than he is."
  15. Curbed stomped? That's how you define being within striking distance of winning the game with the final drive?
  16. Kincaid was targeted 10 more times than Davis last year, and the first half of the season he was being coddled. Next season he should have closer to 120 targets, and be the clear #2. And his ypr will hopefully grow. It's like how Kelce has been the clear #1 for the Chiefs since Tyreek left.
  17. 1. Diggs 2. Kincaid 3. Shakir 4. Rookie 5. Hollins 6. Rookie / speedy slot who doubles as a returner... You're forgetting that Dalton Kincaid is the team's #2 receiver.
  18. I also think this wr class is so stacked that you can find some real value on Day 3 at the position.
  19. I hear that... I see Legette as a cross between Deebo and Aj Brown. And like them think he will go in early to mid round 2. So you have to either take him a bit too early at 28, or trade up in round 2. I think Worthy could go as the 4th or 5th and push Mitchell down to us. Or within a small trade up. But if all the 1st round grade wr's are gone and Beane couldn't trade up, then he has to go BPA (hopefully at a premium position of need: DE, CB) or trade down into early 2... And if neither of those are available, I think that's when you look to take a wr like Legette at 28.
  20. There are some similarities to Gabe and Legette in terms of size. But there are a few key differences that would make Legette an upgrade. One is that Legette's top speed measured on the field last year was faster than anyone in the NFL during the season. The man exceeded 22 mph. Legette also excels in a number of short routes that Davis doesn't. He's very good on bubble screens, drags and quick slants. Those are some bread and butter plays that allowed him to be one of the best receivers beating man coverage last year. Also, his 73% catch percentage last year is better than any year Davis has had... So his long speed is much better than Davis, he produces very well in the short underneath game to beat man, and he catch the ball more consistently.
  21. The last time there was a wr class this deep the 6th wr taken was Brandon Aiyuk and the 7th was Tee Higgins. But the "5th" best wr was taken where the Bills would have picked, and that was Justin Jefferson.
  22. A guy I'm high on as a sleeper is Mohamed Kamara from CSU. He's about the same build as Jerry Hughes, but significantly faster and more athletic. Kamara had 22 sacks and 33 TFL over the last two seasons as well.
  23. When teams doubled Diggs it was often out of a two high look with the Safety to Diggs side of the field. Kincaid and Shakir working deep over the middle of the field will do more to get Diggs one vs one than a wr on the opposite side of the field... I have high hopes for drafting a wr early that can turn into a future 1a receiver. I think we have a future 1b right now in Kincaid, and I hopeful he can close to that potential this year or next.
  24. Realistically the #2 receiver in terms of production will be Kincaid. It would be great if the rookie is #3. But that could very well be Shakir. Then there's Cook and Knox. So that's a top 6 pass catchers being Diggs, Kincaid, Shakir, Rookie 1, Cook, Knox. Kincaid should have close to 100 catches and 1000 yards this year... Imo, they need to find a way to get Kincaid, Diggs and Shakir on the field at the same time frequently. And that might mean a focus on tight formations.
  25. If he replaces Neal at gunner than there's a good chance we can go back to carrying 6 wr's as well. So it's: 1. Diggs 2. Draft (1st or 2nd round) 3. Shakir 4. Draft (please) 5. Hollins vs. Shorter 6. ???
