We had our best roster on paper (2015) since I've been watching the team. It's hard to know what was Nix or Whaley to get there, but Levy and Donahoe never really improved the roster. I don't see why GMs and coaches shouldn't be a package deal. Though to play devil's advocate, you need to be prepared to handle when one half is worse for the team than the other.

No matter how his career turns out, that was one of the most memorable self destructive moments l have witnessed watching the Bills, let alone any team, far beyond EJ vs Jags. Rodgers was insanely competitive against Favre, to the point of pissing off the old guard teammates. Being a backup to Favre had its own benefit in Rodgers working like a maniac in practice. Phillip Rivers, Steve Young. I don't think the starters ever groom their backups, but the backups that succeed are the competitive types that develop through constantly trying to outperform great starters.

Tyrod gets us a chance at the playoffs. You understimate how bad quarterbacks make a game impossible to win. I'm all for better talent at quarterback. Let's bring in our guy and keep tyrod and see who wins the starting job. Tyrod isn't preventing us from drafting a quarterback. He's just great insurance. And don't rookies benefit from adjusting to the NFL as backups? That is a long-term solution; knowing we can field a competitive team.

yeah that's what I gathered. Bamba's a weird dude. I'm from Austin, he wasn't even on Shaka Smart's radar, he actually called Shaka and asked if he could come down for a visit lol. Anyways I saw Bamba against Bagley in the Duke Texas game, and Bagley for the most part had his way with him. Bamba seems like a defensive force, sadly not for Syracuse, that will bust hard in the NBA. He is sloooow on offense.
