NFL cuts, trades, and roster activity
ColoradoBills replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall
How could anyone who posts here NOT hear that. Truth is the Bills needed a better WR than a STer in November of 2022. IMO. -
NFL cuts, trades, and roster activity

Still can't convince me that keeping Kumerow over Hodgins was the better choice. Hodgins is barely an NFL WR, but Kumerow was worse. Jake didn't even play last season. -
We will be getting the final roster and IR players. It is looking like there might be a good number of players IR'd. I figured that was a possibility. Not sure how the final cap $s will be after the dust settles.
-
The post above yours has Zach making it. McKitty is a real hopeful for me to make the PS.
-
You have 7 LBs listed but only 6 names with Milano going to IR. Does that mean the 58 goes to 57?

Bills acquire Jets DB and return man Brandon Codrington
ColoradoBills replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thank you for a rational take on the trade. EVEN IF he doesn't work out, they have an idea on how they would like to use him. Let them try to see if it works. I will admit, this board is getting a little crazy in their hot takes. -
DiNucci can be elevated for a game from the PS.
-
To start the roster, it sure is looks that way. Always can pick up a cut from another team later in the week after the dust settles.
-
I'm not sure Andy even makes the PS this year.
-
2 years injured and they save $1.1M getting rid of him is my guess. Broncos have less cap space than the Bills. I'm not saying Beane should get him, just saying back in '20 and '21 he was a pretty good WR.
-
DiNucci didn't even clean out his locker. He will be on the PS in a few hours.
-
Big difference in QBs and offenses. Living in Colorado I see a lot of Broncos games. Tim Patrick was a decent WR3 who had a knack for finding the endzone. 11 TDs in 2020 and 2021. The injuries are for sure a concern. IMO FWIW.

Andreessen will make the team - UPDATE: he made it

Good thing would be he will be a RFA after 3 years. -
CeeDee Lamb gets paid: 4 year $136M extension

Top pass catching TEs are a bargain compared to what WRs are getting. Hoping Beane and McDermott keep 4 TEs this year. -
Bills have always kept 1 LB as a strictly PS type guy. If those jobs have moved into another position, I could see a chance they only keep 5 with someone on the PS that can come back during the season.

Just for the sake of accuracy Ulofoshio is under a rookie contract. If cut his 2024 dead cap hit is $78k and $235k in 2025. In essence it's a post June 1st cut. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/90493/edefuan-ulofoshio

Wow. Thanks for the info.

Who’s stock is up after today’s game? Who’s stock went down?
ColoradoBills replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Sal is close, but I don't see 11 DL and 11 DBs. Jonathan cut for the PS and another OL or TE for the offense. At least one more stashed on IR. -
I guess it's a possibility, but I doubt it. They'll keep him until he proves during the season he can't make it as backup.
-
$2M this year and $3.25M next year. Just for accuracy sake. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/21743/mitchell-trubisky

Trubisky in a lock for the roster. Right now, it's DiNucci to the PS. If White (or others) want a path to the backup role it goes through the PS.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 3
ColoradoBills replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good post, but I'll add my thoughts. I'll start with the TEs. Kincaid and Knox are obvious. The thing is all 3 of the others have an argument for making the team. Totally agree about McKitty. Lots of fans don't know his skillset. Whatever happens to Morris, McKitty and Davidson, there will be a lot of grief posted here. IMO Beane needs to keep 2 of the 3 and hope the other makes it to the PS. Not only for this year but because of the uncertainty of the Knox contract going forward. If it's 4 on the 53 or one going to start the season on IR it's a pretty big decision in my mind. I'm very interested in what happens and I hope I'm not disappointed in the end. I'll admit I am surprisingly impressed with Gore. But I don't think he will be signed if cut and he is definitely in the running for PS. It just seems to me that his skillset is a subset of Davis. Ty Johnson is a JAG player but one that has a little of both Cook and Davis skills. That's why I think he is RB3. Shavers has played well with Josh this camp. Preseason has hindered all the bubble players because of QB play. The TD miss IMO was on BOTH DiNucci and Shavers. It's MVS, Shavers and Hamler fighting for 2 spots. MVS is making the team, but I like the idea of IRing him for 4 weeks to start the season. Get him totally healthy and familiar with the system. Use that time to decide between Shavers and Hamler. I really like the rest of your evaluations. -
Bass struggling at minicamp (and now at training camp)
ColoradoBills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane cannot wait until the end of September to bring in a kicker for the PS. With the situation concerning Bass, Beane should be able to convince any agent/kicker that signing to the PS give him a real chance to make a team. That needs to be the incentive to get the best available kicker to sign to the Bills PS right after cutdown. Big fan of Beane but this has been a mistake all offseason. Note: Bass's contract is high, but the terms do not make for him uncuttable, especially if it's a younger player. -
Did you get the Sunday Ticket this year?
ColoradoBills replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
I did. Signed up for YouTube TV too. I'll check it out. I too will be able to do the student thing again through a friend whose son is starting college next year. It's a whole lot more money than I want to spend BUT..................it's worth it to watch all the games for the Bills first Super Bowl victory season!
