  1. Yep, and fans keep bringing them up every year because they keep on doing it. What has it got them? They haven't made the playoffs since. If you go down that road to win a SB and fail, it's best to dump everything and start over. I don't see them winning their division again this season and they are in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL.
  2. It really doesn't work that way. I see what you are saying but to do that you have to involve more and more players every year and in essence you are just mimicking a "Ponzi "scheme. Every player is its own "pot" of money. Players only last so long. The bad (risky) part of this whole thing revolves around the players ultimate timeline. I laugh at people talking about "paying" $30M to Diggs not to play. That's the wrong way of looking at it. They paid Diggs cash but pushed the cap hit out. Same goes with Von Miller. Every time you restructure a player you are gambling that he will be healthy, productive, and a fit for your system years further in the future. Void years are nothing but a loan which comes due on a specific date. A simple way of looking at it is like this. A player signs for 10M per year for 2 years. You keep him for 2 years but only have the cap counted for $12M during that time. When he leaves you put $8M the next year in the "Dead Money" pot. The last thing is the cap increases. Many say it's okay to do this because the cap goes up every year. True, but so do ALL the costs every year. Everything from rookie pay scales, veteran minimums and even PS weekly pay go up to. This along with every contract for every position increasing doesn't leave money to cover the restructures like some fans think. It's a tough balance for GMs to navigate properly.
  3. Screw em. Youth is wasted on the young. LOL.
  4. That is what I kept saying. The other thing I said every week was.............Bills are playing this D. They struggle with these things. Dorsey needs to exploit that. He never did. He kept to his gameplan and didn't adapt. IMO.
  5. If you're fast, and if you're lucky You will never see that hangin' tree I like it Muppy! Until something else comes around, it's what I'm calling him.
  6. I expect Coleman to end up with more targets than Hollins to end the season. Also a good chance he will be a starter very soon. It's the pre 1st preseason game depth chart. The older vet is penciled in. IMO.
  7. Players don't play for ever, LOL.
  8. It all has to be paid in the end.
  9. Agree with the Hurts contract. When I look at it his yearly salary is all vet minimums and he collects his pay through option bonuses. It looks to me like it is pre-restructured at signing to push the max out for all his years. It's crazy. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/47648/jalen-hurts/contract/cap
  10. So you can watch the streams on your TV if you have Roku (or similar) NFL app? I thought you could only watch on the phone.
  11. Good grief, how hard is it to realize that the Bills were, in essence, playing every game to end the season as "must wins". Josh was going to do whatever it took to win those games. Last season ending has no bearing on what kind of game plans Brady will be running this season.
  12. Even if Hollins is slotted as starter to begin the year, I believe you are putting too much weight in what that means. I have stated before that it seems to me the Bills will not be ranking the WRs (#1-#4) the way we are accustomed to. That typically being how the targets rank. I don't see that happening. All 4 will be in the mix all the time. We need to wait and see how that is going to work. It's what they mean by "everybody eats".
  13. He was cut when one of the new Safeties was signed.
  14. Agree. I would like to know how that compares to Morris too.
  15. Thank you for standing up and giving some facts to this recent French "military bashing" by too many Americans lately. Without the French military and financial support there would be no United States. If the United States Army was on the Maginot Line at the start of WW2, they would have been overrun by the German blitzkrieg just as fast. The facts of history are being twisted and lost in this country lately. Personally, I commend all those like yourself who resist it.
  16. Kelce had 984 yards on 93 catches from 121 targets with 5 TDs. Kincaid can do that this season.
  17. Not s stretch to imagine Hamler a roster lock if he looks good in the return department during the preseason games.
  18. I want to see some preseason games and another week or more of practices before making any roster predications.
  19. Josh and the 1st team should start. Get some running plays and some quick passes. Just don't have Josh running around or any long setup plays.
  20. Sounds awesome to me. I'm going to hold you to this prediction!
  21. Some of Bass's kicks last year were quite concerning. I had hoped they would have brought in camp competition. I thought in the long run it would help Bass focus. He has done well so far in camp. The real test will begin with the preseason games.
  22. How about a bunion on the big toe?
  23. That's exactly how I seen it.
  24. I have modified my WR "depth chart" of Samuel, Shakir, Hollins and Coleman all being used not as "depth chart roles" but by play calls and matchups. No real #1 and no #4 "roles". All of them 2-3. It may not make sense to some, but it does to me. WR5 and WR6 (most likely keeping 6) can be best judged as a % probability right now. MVS, Shavers and Hamler's %s keep moving around. As stated by many, it will come down to health, WR trait success and STs. Right now, I got Shavers and Hamler. Both have ST abilities so 1 of those 2 will lock if healthy. That leaves 1 slot. I don't count out MVS even without any STs worth because if 6 WRs are kept 1 will not dress a lot of times. That would be MVS if all other 5 are health and dressed. If Claypool is not back to practice soon, he's gone. The rest will battle for any PS spots left.
  25. If that stands for the game, it's putting all 3 in the back seat. If Claypool isn't back soon, he's cooked. Have to guess that MVS, Shavers, Hamler and Thompson will get the lion's share of snaps in the 1st half. Probably see a lot of 12 personnel during the game too.
