  1. Allen is the leader of the offense. The Bills offense has 1 job and that is to score points. Bills averaged 19.6 points a game last year which is not acceptable. 6-7 points more a game with their D puts them up into a SB contending team. Allen and the O need to improve at least 4 points per game this year minimum. That is the only stat besides winning that matters.
  2. There are different ways to sign a RFA. Not sure but i'm willing to bet that the Bills are going to use "Right of 1st refusal" which allows them to sign for vet minimum. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2017/3/8/14834554/nfl-restricted-free-agents-rules-tender-amounts What makes a restricted free agent different? Unlike an unrestricted free agent who can either re-sign with their current team or test the open market and go elsewhere, restricted free agents are tied down unless a team allows them to become an unrestricted free agent. Teams have four different tender options they can place on their restricted free agent that usually keeps those players from leaving. First-round tender: Free agent can negotiate with other teams, but original team has option to match any deal and will receive a first-round selection if it opts not to match the deal. Second-round tender: Free agent can negotiate with other teams, but original team has option to match any deal and will receive a second-round selection if it opts not to match the deal. Original-round tender: Free agent can negotiate with other teams, but original team has option to match any deal and will receive a selection equal to the round the player was originally selected in if it opts not to match the deal. Right of first refusal: Free agent can negotiate with other teams, but original team has option to match any deal. The team will not receive any compensation if it opts not to match another deal.
  3. I agree with the bold but I would add WR to your list. I think as of now those 5 positions will be highly considered in the 1st 4 picks for Beane.
  4. That's what I'm doing and hoping most of our citizens are doing the same. It's a small price to pay to protect the elderly and health care workers IMO. Every American generation has challenges they must endure.
  5. We will all have to wait week by week to see how this progresses. No one KNOWS for sure. Patience is needed.
  6. He no doubt is on the edge of making the team. If he doesn't he might end up as one of the 2 guys you could call up from the PS this year. It will be interesting how teams use those 2 positions and I expect some PS guys to get a decent sized contract to stay with teams.
  7. I could see Cam and Flacco just sitting in the wings until the draft is settled. Winston might be there with them too.
  8. We don't know yet but almost certainly a 1 year contract for vet minimum which I think is about $825k for him.
  9. You are correct eball, it went down after Jefferson's contract was put on the books.
  10. Jefferson's contract on Spotrac. Essentially another 1 year with 2nd option for Beane and the Bills. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/quinton-jefferson-19101/ Spotrac New Bills Cap Space: $27.06 million
  11. I don't agree a lot with you Scott, but I do on this.
  12. I didn't even realize that to you pointed it out. Those games will be fun to watch!
  13. LOL, that's crazy way to do it. Colts always seem to do weird things!
  14. I have no idea what IND is thinking. They got enough space to keep him and decide what they are going to do with all the QBs they got. Over 52 million tied up in QB cap. If this was happening in Buffalo this board would melt down!
  15. Yep, I also think that will help the Bills against Pats* (QB) and Miami (huge turnover). It may help the Jets by simply having the players NOT around Gase!
  16. I see Beane drafting a swing OT with the 3rd or 4th pick, bringing in a UDFA OT and maybe a low tier vet OT and go to camp. Having the extra PS spots will help teams develop "project players" on the O-line. It should be good for OL quality overall.
  17. I'll sing "Happy Birthday to Sean" when I'm washing my hands today!
  18. ....and his entire 2020 salary became guaranteed yesterday. No need to do anything this year.
  19. Sneaky ain't they. Seriously, lot's of people will be negatively affected in the coming months. Hopefully Terry didn't pull a Judge Smales.
  20. Draft pick "salaries" and draft pick "top 51 cap" are 2 different things. Most of the Bills draft picks this year won't add much to the Top 51 Cap dollars. I figure the entire draft (don't have a 1st) will cost only 1 to 1.5 million in cap space. If you are curious why here is an example. A 5th round pick will cost no more than 725k cap hit (the new CBA numbers are not yet in Spotrac but that should be close). When that guy signs he will take the place of a current guy on the roster that is in the top 51 already. Currently that is a guy with about a 675k cap hit. That only adds 50k. Now teams like Miami need a lot of space because they will be drafting a lot of high dollar guys and only "offsetting" the 675k ones. Bills don't need to worry about that this year. Beane still has some room to make some moves if he wants or he can resign Tre or Dawkins.
  21. PIT just restructured Ben's contract to free up money for Ebron. He has a 41 million dollar cap hit in 2021! They are all in with Big Ben for the next 2 years. If it works out OK but if Ben goes over the cliff they are toast.
