  1. The only move up I see Beane doing is trading the second 5th rounder to move up a bit in Round 3 to get a guy they like. It's a typical Beane move. Not a lot of spots on the roster open so the 1st 3 rounds are important. I get a feeling that the 5th-7th round guys have a hard time cracking the roster.
  2. With Andre Roberts gone "Dirty Red" will be the ST Captain. You got to agree that the Special Teams groups deserve a player working a good portion of his time filling that role. You just said it's 20% of the game. The only other dedicated ST'er is Jones who makes peanuts.
  3. Spotrac just added his contract and it says 3 years $14.4M with a $3.28M cap hit for this year. Not sure if it was already mentioned but it's the first I seen that it's much lower than first reported. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/jon-feliciano-16854/
  4. I'm hoping the lure of Buffalo being a rising team with a very reasonable SB run brings in a couple of decent players.
  5. I'd didn't mention that option but I think it's something Beane is looking into. a player for player swap is definitely a good move for wise GMs this year. Thanks for confirming something that just may happen before Beane goes into depth players and the draft!
  6. I can go along with that.
  7. Desperate times call for desperate measures?
  8. Curious what TBD thinks Beane is up to. I still hope that as money dries up he can still sign someone who can make an impact. Although I'm starting to feel that other than some guys to compete for depth that Brandon might be done. I can also talk myself into a scenario that since everyone is pretty quite in the whole league the last few days that another wave of FA signings could start and Beane will be part of it. He can tweek a few contracts and get some cap money but he may be true to his word and not want to do too much with that.
  9. I was wondering why Denver was sitting on all that cap and after this and the Justin Simmons signing shows me they are looking to counter Mahomes the best they can.
  10. I got in the habit knowing how McDermott feels about them.
  11. Interesting stat is he had 49 touches last year and 3 fumbles.
  12. But JuJu got all those TikTok views! you can't put a price on fame.
  13. Maybe. I still think they will trade him before the season starts but with this legal stuff it's just crazy.
  14. Leaving the whole legal thing out of it and just looking at the Texans perspective the only thing I can see is that the Texans if they indeed want to trade Watson would want to do it after June 1st. It frees up $10M this year instead of adding an extra $5M along with his current Cap Hit this year. A team trading for him would only have a $10M hit this year and just about anyone could get that. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/houston-texans/deshaun-watson-21753/ It would mean that Houston goes with TT at QB and has to wait until next year for their picks which is risky. It all would essentially mean that Houston wastes this year but that team has done a lot of goofy things in the past. I just don't get this whole thing myself.
  15. Thanks for that @whatdrought. It's such a slow Saturday so far all around the league and that was a pleasant distraction!
  16. As fans we seldom know what if anything went on behind the scenes. It would be interesting to know what Lindsay would of done if the Bills had an interest and offered $3.5M. As of right now if nothing is done in FA I could see a pick going to a RB with a totally different style than Moss and Singletary. That would be a big bruiser or a speedy guy that can turn the edge.
  17. Diggs Sanders Beasley Davis Now if McKenzie can find his way home the Bills are set for the 2021 season. Let the others battle for the 6th and a PS spot or two. Kumerow The Duke Hodgins Gentry Maybe a late round pick and an UDFA or two.
  18. I didn't at all. I seldom "pine" for any player but in this case I thought he would add an element to the RB position we lacked. He signed for a lot less than I expected and did go to Houston which has a much more crowded RB room than the Bills. I'll get over it.
  19. I was hoping for him or another veteran to give some experience and leadership to the RBs. I guess they might go to the draft for another RB like @Big Turk said above.
  20. I guess we will see what Hollister is all about during camp. As to the Lee Smith replacement I don't think he is that. Nate Becker has the size to be that and he has been with the Bills for 2 years now. 6'5" 264 is what he is listed at and adding a few more pounds could make him a perfect sized blocking TE. I hope it works out that way.
  21. I understand what you are saying and I want Beane to make at least one good move to improve the team this year. That being said they are close in cap next year too. Spotrac has the league cap at $209M for next year in their figures. Bills have 39 signed with a Cap Space of $21.3. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/2022/ Edit: I forgot that is without Feliciano's contract.
  22. Yes. He is one of a couple other vets I think could improve the RB room now that Lindsay is gone. If the Bills go to improve the position I think another rookie is a weaker choice than a cheap vet.
  23. Well Brandon Beane is the best GM the Bills have had in a generation BUT I think he missed one here. Lindsay singed on the cheap to Houston which makes me think Beane wasn't even thinking about him. Too bad. Edit to add: Kelly Skipper is the RB Coach. He should have had some input in this too.
  24. Nothing has changed form my post earlier today except the signing of TE Hollister which took $200k off the cap. It's at $1.178M
  25. From watching the Donkeys more than I want to he's is a decent pass receiver. His stats are not the greatest but he has a bunch of bad QBs throwing the ball with a bad offense. I remember a couple of years ago the Bronco fans screaming when Flacco would throw 6 yards at him and hit his feet. I along with everyone else am not sure on his pass blocking skills. I am interested in him if he takes less than expected.
