  1. LOL. I know and it's probably only a result of the nuns at St Josaphat's! I doubt that will happen. I'm just going to do what feels right for me.
  2. It's a fair question. I think the guy has some talent and his development was a negative with the Jets and Carolina. The Jets have been a cluster #@&% and the Panthers O without McCaffrey is pretty weak. Sam was 3-0 to start last season with McCaffrey and 0-4 after his injury. To compare him with the current Bills backup QBs estimated results, Keenum can win you more than he loses and Barkley a little less. I'd put Darnold (in theory) between them with a potential to be even better with a good team/organization.
  3. I got to think after seeing Matt Araiza's interviews and his calm low-profile demeanor, he must cringe at all this punt god stuff. Now that he made the team, I will use MA when mentioning him in future posts.
  4. I know a lot of Bills fans would hate it but if he did the Trubisky low-cost deal, I would be OK with it. Sam can easily win you half the games he starts with the Bills. What more do you ask for from a backup? He may benefit from the Bills staff.
  5. There was a lot of the bubble guys playing Saturday. I saw DE Kingsley Johnathan defending on a Kickoff. He's a 4th stringer. Maybe some of the looks these guys were getting was more about who to keep for PS than trying to make the team roster.
  6. LOL. I will fall off my couch if that becomes a fact.
  7. He certainly was. It was an "interesting" thread topic. Probably just too "ahead of its time"!
  8. Most likely. I do however believe he has more talent than Willaims and definitely more than Wade. He may be in the mix for RB3 next year. Can't ask for more than that from an UDFA.
  9. Austin cost them nothing and was only a PR insurance policy. Looks like Shakir is the primary guy. Haack was a swing and a miss. They wanted a guy that created a lot of fair catches but Miami weather is not Buffalo weather.
  10. Cook was taking KRs in practice. Don't know if he got any in preseason. He on most of the depth charts for KR.
  11. Tage Thompson's baby pictures?
  12. Agree. I guess a better way to say what I was insinuating is I hope they buck the trend and dress 3 true RBs every game. With a potential threat like Cook an argument can be made for dressing only 5 WRs. I been saying they can keep 6 WRs without Kumerow and dress 5 for the games with Hodgins sitting to start. I want that to happen so Cook dresses. I get the ST thing (which is getting beaten to death), but it would be my choice. I just don't know if McDermott and Beane are seeing it that way.
  13. LOL. I would love Beane to pull that off.
  14. You see it too. Breida and Yeldon didn't dress unless someone was hurt. I don't see it changing unless something changes on ST. I am getting a feeling something may change but we all have to wait to see.
  15. Tre White won't go that route unless his recovery is behind. Stevenson may be another going to IR to start.
  16. History is the Bills keep 6 LBs every year. All the non-starters are ST guys. If that happens again this year, then either Blackshear, Kumerow or Hodgins don't make the cut. The 6th LB (Spector or Gilles-Harris) gets cut when Smith returns for the 7th game unless they look great. My choice is Kumerow goes to the PS. I agree with the rest.
  17. @Doc disagreed with me too. It's not that I don't want Cook dressing every game but if Jones, Kumerow, Matakevich and others dress for ST only someone is put in the position not to dress. History also shows McDermott will sit rookies more than others. I don't want it to happen, I just think it will.
  18. Just want to get the list correct. When it comes to guys who are "core" non-returner/kicker ST players. Core is the punt/kickoff both ways guys. These are the stats for the Bills 4-way core and some 2nd tier players last year. Core: Matakevich - 80% Gilliam - 73% Jones - 71% Neal - 66% Dodson - 64% Johnson - 63% Kumerow - 61% (1st season as a core player) Smith - 60% 2nd Tier: Klien - 42% Epenesa - 33% Hamlin - 29% This year a lock to get a huge amount of ST work and is good at it is Bernard. Guys who if they make the team could be part of the core (unproven as of now) are: Gilles-Harris (proven ST'er who Smalley has talked up in pressers) Spector Blackshear Hodgins Not sure if there are anymore. If someone has seen another I would like to know.
  19. A agree with you completely. Bills keep 2 TEs on the roster and Morris is the priority TE on PS. Where Sweeney ends up is anyone's guess. It would not surprise me for the Bills to use a late Day2 pick on a TE next draft. Early Day 3 at the latest.
  20. When Blackshear and Duke get cut, I doubt very much both get picked up. There will be a lot of decent RBs getting cut in September.
  21. I really like what I see from Cook. What is going to be so funny to see is how this board has posters who melt down when he starts the season not dressing. Devin and Zack will dress to start the season and if Jones is dressing for STs it's a numbers game. Be patient Bills fans, we won't see a lot of him until later in the year.
  22. Ford had a lot of natural talent coming out of college. He has disappointed so far in his NFL career. It's great to hear he may be able to rectify that under Kromer. There are differences between teachers, coaches, mentors and trainers. Sounds like Kromer has qualities of each. Not near enough credit is given to McDermott for putting together his staff.
  23. CJ Spiller if I remember correctly. Marrone and Hackett's first season in 2013.
  24. Come on, no need to go all "Skud Farkus" on him!
  25. "They're RBs ALL ran so well, and none needed to puke"!
