Judging by the way they rolled Rogers into the end zone last time I see another run right up the middle for a TD coming.

Again I get it that it's back ups but there's no rule saying they have to suck.

You play tight man all game long you can fake cover zero or single high and drop into zone on critical downs. You play soft zone all the time and then go man on critical downs you better have some damn good man corners or you get burnt. The other thing is you can see how handsy the refs are letting the defense play. Teams frequently get very grabby with our guys and we let guys run free for easy quick passes all game long. Once upon a time our soft zone was a small cushion and a big hit but now a days our soft zone is 5 or 6 yards and more missed tackles after that.

Andreesen last game looked like you could get by with him. This game he looks like the Pats game where Mac Jones carved us up throwing to Pharoah Brown and Kendrick Bourne.

Teams play us man and hand fight all the way down the field meanwhile our guys aren't even close enough to put a hand on most of these pass catchers. I am beginning to wonder if the McDermott zone hasn't aged well.

The guy covering Burden was dancing around 3 yards in the end zone while Burden was crashing down on the safety. I think it's the safety we just brought in this week. Either way he's not shown much.
