First 3 offensive series of the game ended with Allen passing 3-5 yards ahead of his receiver. Baltimore didn’t have any safeties deep on those plays either so an accurate pass, while difficult, would have resulted in a TD. I would like a QB who can complete a couple of those difficult passes a game. Hopefully Allen can start to hit them, but it has been a problem all season. Clearly Baltimore noticed this and was able to blitz instead of keeping safeties deep. If a player only hits one 3 pointer all season you back off him until he starts to prove you wrong.

Baltimore didn’t need to use safeties deep. this is most likely because they saw Josh hit only one deep ball all season prior and took their chances.

Do you all think it was a mistake for Bears to take Trubisky? If not, then it wasn't a "mistake" for the Bills to pass on Mahomes, Watson, Jackson. Think about how you feel about the Trubisky pick for a more unbiased opinion. Josh isn't a running Quarterback? Lamar doesn't have the most passing TDs in the league?

I had this argument in the MNF game day thread. @Lieutenant Aldo Raine Thought he was so clever for pointing out Lamar Jackson’s sub-300 yard game. I cant tell if these people really don’t understand. by the way, despite the fact that 300 is an arbitrary number, it’s interesting to think if Allen had thrown for a TD at the end of the Browns game from where they missed the fg he would have had 301 yards. So yes @dakrider, Allen did need just over 300 yards in one game.

I could see if you were arguing devin with the ravens vs brown. But that offense is on another level. No disrespect to devin.

The argument I’ve heard is that going 3 years in today’s NFL without a single 300 yard game is not only alarming it’s actually kind of amazing. No one has ever said you need to throw for 300 yards or you suck. Or you can’t win without 300. So stop misrepresenting a point then making fun of it so self-satisfactorily. Just a suggestion.
