You don’t have to be completely sold on him to be wrong. He’s clearly an NFL QB at least. There’s one poster on here who constantly calls out other posters. He made an entire call-out thread last season around this time when Mike Schoop said the jury is out on who is the better passer Jackson or Allen. Schoop never said Jackson is better than Allen, just that we don’t know yet. This poster called Schoop a douche bag for saying that. Not for anything else which may be deserved. Anyway, that poster is strangely missing from this thread. I’m not gonna call him out by name but most of you know who I’m talking about.

3-3 over next six games and we make playoffs

yeah that doesn't feel right. 58% chance to get in at 9-7 if they beat DEN and NYJ. according to NYT playoff calculator -
Can the Detractors Now Admit Allen's Growth?
Rock-A-Bye Beasley replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean sure, the "detractors" can admit when he has a good game. I see no reason why not. Can you admit when he has a bad one? Or is "detractor" just another term for someone who doesn't pretend they don't see the bad games/throws? -

I don't think 9-7 gets us in. I was just playing with the Playoff machine and OAK and PIT have easy schedules to get to 10-6 -
100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.
Rock-A-Bye Beasley replied to Allen2Moulds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love for him to hit a long pass. It’s a good start and I’ll give him the credit of course. The problem with being 0-16 is defenses don’t have to be afraid of the long ball resulting in keeping safeties closer to the Los, affecting the run and short/intermediate passing game. Corners can also play press with less fear of Brown/foster getting free behind them. I was pretty positive about Allen at the beginning of the season when I saw his improvement on the short/intermediate passes. However, I had the 3 deep passes from last season skewing my perception of his deep accuracy. Now that he’s 0-16 and 3-34 I think there’s a chance there could be a major problem with his ability. -

Try not to worry about other people and just answer the question. How about this. We are past the half way point if this season. If Allen doesn’t connect on a deep ball over the next 7 games is it ok to criticize? If not, at what point would it be ok? -
Or you’d be making excuses for the poor talent around him.

Rational Thoughts after the Browns
Rock-A-Bye Beasley replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, Allen needed to be put in a good situation to be a good QB (even average tbh). Instead he was sheltered by a Peterman and thrown into the fire because of it. These are are not the coaches you want developing a QB. Ive seen people say Jackson, Mahomes, and Watson would not be as good if they ended up in Buffalo. That may be true, but they would be better than Allen. They at least had a track record of running prolific offenses in college. -

He’s wrong go to exactly 8 minute mark. He explains it perfectly: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/locked-on-bills-daily-podcast-on-the-buffalo-bills/id1145479962?i=1000456470680 -
How is Sean McDermott like Dick Jauron?
Rock-A-Bye Beasley replied to SoTier's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah. That’s not my point though. Many fellow Bills fans will say those guys will either plateau or get worse while telling you Allen will only get better. -
QB who can pass to victory - a myth?
Rock-A-Bye Beasley replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pointless drivel. The initial question is so useless that all your “scientific” analysis is a waste of time. (I have multiple college degrees btw so don’t waste your time) ” I wonder what the actual W-L outcome is when teams pass more than they run? “ Once you answer that question then what? What does it tell you if it’s only a correlation and a loose one at that? -

“What is the W-L outcome, actually, when a team's QB passes for most of the plays in a game?” that question is pointless. -

You keep saying I don’t understand which is not true. But good attempt at insulting me a second time with the same BS about missing lectures. I’m not trying to be rude, just pointing out this is pointless if it’s not proving anything. -

The premise is flawed BECAUSE you’re not asserting causation. Why should I care in that case? Besides, even if I’m accepting everything I want a top-tier QB anyway. So that’s my answer.
