  1. This does not explain why Josh is responsible for all the losses. Last I heard football is a team sport.
  2. Neal did play defense in the preseason. Because of the extreme heat in Miami, McD didn't want to play him more than on STs. McD said that in today's presser. The extreme heat altered a lot of things in that game.
  3. That is correct and Jaquon did not get deep enough at safety. I don't understand why Von Miller dropped into coverage and we only rushed 3. Either the wrong defense was called or it was poor communication.
  4. Bills signed OL Justin Murray (previously on Cardinals). Doyle to IR. Per buffalobills.com https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-sign-former-cardinals-ol-justin-murray-place-ot-tommy-doyle-on-ir
  5. Thanks for the clarification. I know that if a team's communication system isn't working the other team can't use theirs. It seemed absurd that if a team chose not to use something, it meant the other team couldn't use it either.
  6. It was just discussed on One Bills Live, that the Bills were not allowed to use their cooling benches because Miami opted not to use theirs (competitive advantage). Tasker agreed but said he needed to do some research. Is anyone familiar with this?
  7. Dorsey said this game was a learning experience for he and the offense. He said mistakes are correctable. I guess in all that heat, players weren't thinking too clearly either.
  8. I didn't catch how much time was on the clock. That would have been the smart play if there was enough time.
  9. I heard Tasker say that today but Josh was pretty certain in his comment that he couldn't. I guess when in doubt...don't. Coaches should set him straight if he's wrong. I just looked it up. He can still spike the ball as long as he does it immediately. So would it then be a judgment call by the ref?
  10. Bobby Hart likely off suspension.
  11. The question was how much time was left. I didn't really take note. Did you happen to notice?
  12. Fractured hand. McD said he'll have surgery and will be out a couple of weeks "give or take."
  13. No. After the muff, if Allen tries to spike the ball it's intentional grounding (Jamis Winston did that in NO) and loss of down. That's why Josh tried to make the play with Diggs. McKenzie didn't think he could get out of bounds. After he was down he ran to get the ball to the referee but was held by the Dolphin player to prevent him from getting there, so they ran out of time.
  14. Von Miller said in his presser that these kinds of games can have positive team effects.
  15. This is why I don't put it all on Josh. Yes...there have been games where he plays poorly, but largely it's not always his fault. BTW, it was 2021 when we were 6 and 1 in one score games. In 2020 we were actually 2 to the good in one score games.
  16. Why is it on Josh? When you look at many of those losses, it was the defense that folded after Josh got us the lead. Yesterday....I will discount because it was just a freakish day and Josh had little help from his oline and his receivers were gassed.
  17. This just started in 2021. Between 2018 and 2020, it was a wash between winning and losing 1 score games. In 2021, our wins were big and our losses were close, except for the Colts game. Same for 2022 thus far. In looking at those games though, it seemed to come down to freakish plays (Josh slipping on the Titan goal line) or individual players missing a tackle or being out of position. I don't see it as an overall team mindset where the team doesn't have the right mentality. As to Reid...over the same time period 2021-2022, KC has won 7 and lost 5 one score games. So...KC has had more 1 score games than the Bills over that time period. I'm tossing yesterday's loss out for being the perfect storm against the Bills. In truth, I'd love for the Bills to have less close games and simply score a lot of points. Let's just see how the rest of this year plays out.
  18. I stand corrected. I'm certain I saw last night the opening odds were Ravens -3.
  19. I thought it was Ravens -3. Did I see that incorrectly?
  20. My goodness. One loss, in freakish circumstances, and everyone wants to point fingers and throw all the bums out! I would wager there are not many coaches who would not have gotten blown out in this game with the players we had to field in this game. The one good thing about this loss is no one is talking about the Bills today. They are talking about the Dolphins. We are not favored on the road this week. They do better as underdogs. Get healthy and back to work.
  21. In light of Benford's injury, we are very thin at corner until Tre gets back. I would expect them to perhaps sign more DBs to their practice squad for the time being, but no more than that.
  22. I was thinking the same, unless they were concerned with putting Cam in as a safety. Bates was head compounded by the heat. Kumerow had an ankle and Benford the hand.
  23. There is truth to this. In the first two games, Josh was protected. Yesterday, not so much. We do need a running game, especially for games like this. Our receivers were gassed yesterday when normally the Bills are getting chunk plays from those receivers. Josh had to wait on his receivers yesterday more than normal. A lot of the talking heads nationally are saying that the Bills are putting too much on Josh. Yesterday, was a freakish day, with the Bills already banged up. I'd like to see the Bills get healthy this week and also work on establishing more of a running game, so that we can have a two-pronged approach moving forward.
  24. Rex Ryan was just talking about that on Get Up...that the Dolphins do have the best home field advantage and he pointed out the sidelines. The opposing team sits in the sun the entire time even when they're resting...so your body never really can recover after being on the field.
  25. I think that the OP is giving an objective take. We were missing half our starting D and players were dropping like flies left and right on offense. Having said that the Bills didn't make the plays when they could have. Our dline did not pressure Tua and he made the throws he needed to. Our oline could not protect Josh and he was under constant pressure. Did the heat affect the Bills quality of play? Likely yes. Still with all the adversity the Bills only lost by 2. But a play here and there not made...we could and should have won.
