  1. To me the biggest difference is KC has Chris Jones. He's the difference maker that elevates the play of the entire KC defense. The Bills have no one defensively that is a difference maker. I would add that KC 's secondary this year had more talent than the Bill's secondary... especially with Benford and Rapp missing.
  2. McD in addressing the team before the game, told them don't expect any help from the refs in KC. The team needs to play well enough to negate the refs. He added they didn't do that.
  3. I agree. Plays and players. McD said you need 2 or 3 difference makers on each side of the ball to win a championship. He didn't talk about whether the Bills have any, but the way he raved about Allen's and Cook's seasons, you got the impression we've got a couple offensively. He did say they need to add a WR that can stretch the defense. He didn't really single out anyone defensively unless he was specifically asked about a player. Milano was mentioned and McD spoke about all the set backs he had physically this year.
  4. Folks are also forgetting that the Chiefs had been building that team to success prior to Mahomes getting there. They had a good foundation and team and Alex Smith as QB. They concluded he wasn't what they needed, and moved on to Mahomes. Beane and McDermott started with very little foundation and a bare cupboard...and still McD got to the playoffs in his first season. They have been building and getting closer. The Chiefs have only needed to add a piece here and there. It's obvious that Beane isn't satisfied that they are still not quite there. He said the emotions are still a bit raw to be talking about any specific changes at this point, but they will evaluate things and go from there.
  5. The only whining I'm hearing is on this message board. Some of the injuries I'm hearing about are news to me.
  6. I did not conclude that. He said Damar was a good story and he's proud of him...then he mentioned the business side of things and that Damar has reached free agency.
  7. I highly suggest folks listen to the presser for themselves rather than go by what posters in this thread are concluding. For example...Beane said he doesn't think things need to be blown up. (Like many on this board...fire everyone.) He did say they will look at individual players etc so he did not say they will stand pat.
  8. He was the passing game coordinator and WR coach, and even though Ensminger was the OC, Brady was the one credited for developing LSU's high powered offense. He even won the award for the best college assistant coach.
  9. Brady had JaMar Chase and Justin Jefferson at LSU, so I'm certain he is capable of producing more in the passing game with the right players. I think between the newness and the injuries, the Bills really didn't know what they had this year and were discovering things as the season played on. Fortunately, the offense is set at every position except WR...so that's where they should focus attention offensively in the draft. Defensively they need to focus on D line and secondary.
  10. A lot of those who tuned in were angered that the Chiefs win was Ref assisted. They are posting such on social media. Perhaps the NFL will realize the Bills and Josh Allen are a humble, likeable team that fans can get behind and root for. The NFL would be wise to take notice.
  11. Thank you, Micah! I wanted you on the Bills when I saw you play in a GB playoff game! So glad you were signed. I wish you well in your next career!
  12. Totally agree with that take. Bills stayed loyal to all their tendencies in that game, which hurt them mightily. That included playing Ty in the final series because of his blocking ability. In essence, Brady didn't pay attention to the game he was playing, but rather relied on games played during the season. He stopped doing what was working and stuck with doing what wasn't.
  13. The Bills need a difference maker at WR... someone that will require more attention from defenses, to open things up offensively. Then I'd go either 1T DT or a big, speedy CB whichever is available. We're set on oline. I think we need to get more physical on defense.
  14. The issue is these calls are game changing. Just about every media pundit used that phrase, particularly with the 4th and 1 spot. So had the Bills been granted the first down, the Bills may have been up two scores in the 4th quarter which is where you need to be with the Chiefs and the way the Bills won in Orchard Park. So I cannot negate the officiating not being a reason why the Bills lost. Having said that, I hope Brady learned from the experience. In essence he played true to all of the Bills tendencies this year...which the Chiefs had film on. Reid on the other hand planned some new wrinkles, which the Bills did not expect.
  15. Mina Kimes said today on NFL Live when discussing how good KC is on both sides of the ball, "Someone needs to take one for the team and hire Steve Spagnuolo as head coach.". They all laughed, but she said she was serious. I agree!
  16. Glad your son is doing okay!
  17. I think the injury caused by Poyer on Coleman really set him back. He was playing really well before he got sidelined. I just think his growth and involvement in the offense was stifled.
  18. I'd rather eat glass. I'll be rooting for Saquon in the SB.
  19. The Bills didn't make the plays when they needed to, and the refs didn't help. Despite that, the Bills only lost by 3 with half of their starting secondary missing. The Chiefs beat everyone, not just the Bills, and the Bills are the only team that ever seems to stand a chance of beating them. So I take some solace in that.
  20. I will be rooting for the Eagles...specifically Saquon Barkley...and that he wins the MVP of the SB.
  21. I think McD is good...but he's too loyal to certain players, certain coaches and certain schemes. I'd like to see them go a different way defensively. Bills need size on the D. Josh said it yesterday. KC had big guys that stopped the Bills on a play that hadn't been stopped. Bills are too small and injury prone as a result. Get a different D coordinator and scheme. Offensively, Brady gets inconsistent at the wrong times. The Bills running game was the reason they got as far as they did this year, yet where was it in the first half and where was Cook on that last series? Stop trying to overthink it. Finally, Special teams needs a new coach. Too many mistakes this year.
  22. Since 2021, Eagles are 6-0 in games officiated by Shawn Hoculi.
  23. In the commercial where the grounds crew guy misspelled Chiefs as Chefs. Now we know who the Chefs are. Chief favoring Refs...the Chefs.
  24. Yes. The Bills had two time outs left. I was mistaken in another post that I thought we had 3. They used the one in discussing the FG when we were at the 2 yd line. I was just happy McD didn't use any when the Bills were on defense.
